  1. Please calm down. Yes, core DCS World is constantly evolving. So do the modules. If you have a problem or something you don’t understand, you can come here and as you see, you will find people up to date who can help you. :smilewink:
  2. Some bugs have been fixed. The radar elevation control is still bugged, but vertical scan is effective again, even if I can’t be sure about the exact angles* AG HOTAS is fixed and work reliably again without involving AA radar. I tried with BL, BF, GBU-12, AG gun. People put too much emphasis on IP bombing. Direct CCPL have a CEP around 20-30m. With IP CCPL you would have a CEP around 100m and more. This is back up mode for direct CCPL or stand off attack on large targets but without too much expectation about accuracy. Speaking about Cold War, Mirage 2000C pilots would merely train for AG. :music_whistling: * [edit] after test, it seems that in vertical scan the antenna elevation bug on VTB is scanning between -10° and +50° which is good news

    ARBS

I’m sure you did the same, but since Lock On, with A-10A, A-10C, MiG-29 and Su-27 and stuff like that, bombs were dead on accurate in CCIP. So no, the bombs didn’t became accurate because of external changes.

    ARBS

Actually, I think a while ago, people were complaining it wasn’t accurate enough. Now some of the same people are complaining it’s too accurate :megalol: I don’t know how good it is IRL, but given the lack of effectiveness of bombs in DCS, I would say that too accurate is a blessing :D
  5. There is no question. F-16 and M-2000C can get wings ripped off. I have seen HUD footage with 25G. I got wings ripped off 600m behind MiG-29. This is way overdone and doing more bad than good.
  6. I prefer to wait than to deal with bugs
  7. It has been discussed here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202523 It seems that it does have SAR.
  8. DCS isn't just about today with the latest toys. Warning SAM's isn't such a problem with SEAD support. Radar targeting was used by F-15E during Desert Storm at least, who knows since then ? Please show me a MBT disrupting laser guided weapons... So far it doesn't seem widely fielded.
  9. This is wrong, Zeus67 had to take over M-2000C code since Elwood who was hired to do that isn't available for a while. So they are finishing code on released module, not coding new ones. The 3D/ textures guys are doing and showing what they do. They are not coders. It's the same for every body. Yes. It's not going as fast as we would like, but complaining because 3D or graphics are being upgraded faster than the code is irrelevant, it isn't the same pipeline.
  10. So what is the difference between the default DO and the DO with RDO selected on PCA ?
  11. Up, now there is a Silkworm radar :smilewink:
  12. I don't understand. Don't you need to select RDO on PCA to activate it ?
  13. No, HOTAS was only missing the TWS/ STT toggle button. It was known since it was described in the manual even before AdA contract. Magic 2 is getting new modes (search patterns and MAV mode), but this is a good news, and it was impossible to know without AdA involvement. There is nothing as detailed as NATOPS available about Mirage 2000C. It's not perfect, still needs work, but they are working on it. It's not moving as fast as we want, but the modules aren't left over. About this thread: the same questions always get the same answers by the same people (including me off course, I'm no better :D) People who yesterday were complaining about lack of accuracy of ARBS (I did agree) are now complaining it's too accurate (I have yet to test)
  14. I know this is the official reason, still I laugh every time I read it. Geramny: dear uncle Sam, should we put your B-61 on our home built Eurofighter, or should we spend billions into your industry to buy US made fighter ? Uncle Sam: spend billions to buy US fighter. End of negotiations... Off course US says it will take more time to integrate to Eurofighter if they can sell their fighter instead. During Cold War, fitting B-61 to Tornado wasn't a problem. B-61 was also a selling point for F-35 in Belgium. And yet, B-61 isn't operational yet on either of these US fighters... End even if it's guided, it's still not propelled, it's obsolete compared to ASMP-A (ramjet). Moreover, buying a few F-35 for nuclear strike would open the door to follow on orders. And this would indeed threaten FCAS program. And FCAS isn't only French interest, it's also the future of German industry which has a lot of political weight. [End of out of topic] I will be very curious to discover this generation of aircraft. Even if the weapon system doesn't bring new features compared to F/A-18C Lot 20, dynamic performances will bring a lot more energy to launch missile. Very high thrust to weight ratio and super cruise. Also it's interesting to discover new avionics logic
  15. Page 1, by Zeus67 who coded it :smilewink: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4256264&postcount=8 - MAG = Vertical or narrow - MAV = Horizontal or narrow
  16. Actually now, when you select Magic (without MAV on PCA), you have 2 search patterns: - vertical search - narrow search (square corners in the HUD) You toggle between the two with "Magic unlock". The Magic will automatically lock on target (no uncage). And you can slave Magic to radar lock with HOTAS command. In MAV mode, the vertical search is replaced by horizontal search, elevation at the top of the HUD. Yes, the ASE is simpler because the range data aren't displayed on it.
  17. I didn't watch the track, but if you are at gun range, there is a good chance you are passing through wake turbulence of your target. Sometime you can go up to 25G !!! = ED bug. It isn't specific to M-2000C (Hornet or F-16 too for instance). I disabled the option in options.
  18. It's like ASE circle on US fighters. You put the little square floating in the HUD inside the circle to optimize missile trajectory (energy saving) :smilewink: It puts you on interception course.
  19. Same here, 20 fps in MP  Solid 40 in solo. Open Beta, config in signature.
  20. Yes it is a DCS thing, actually it used to be a Lock On thing too :D In Locked On I accidently locked and shot down an AGM-88 HARM with MiG-29 and R-27R head on. With M-2000C I accidently locked and shot a missile coming at me with Magic 2 during head on pass. Missiles have IR and radar signature once launched, so you can lock and shoot them down. Not really an easy to do though
  21. The one behind control stick is the transponder. The one on the right below INS is the interrogator to identify friends on your scope. Just turn the right knob to turn it on, then you can perform interrogation with "nose wheel steering" button on HOTAS. So far: - you can't turn on/ off your transponder. - you can't set your own transponder code. - you can't choose the friendly reply code on IFF interrogator. :smilewink:
  22. They have to finish Mirage 2000C and AV-8B first. :smilewink:
  23. Yep, the new DCS 2.5.6 broke lighting effects...again  ED is constantly tweaking graphics engine.
  24. Some cool video here  (not mine off course)
  25. You have to assign axis in DCS control settings. Choose MiG-19, then "axis" category. :smilewink:
