We could use some German night fighters... twin-engined and equipped with radar.

fixed Cockpit lights don't work in the MT version
Hog_driver replied to Hog_driver's topic in Bugs and Problems
Isn't the lighting fixed internally and be updated in the next OB? -
You overestimate my "coding" skills, thank you!

You know, you've got to be careful with ChatGPT, it's not a reliable source of information. I wanted to check how smart it is and asked it a misleading question about the "famous Ju 88 strategic bomber". Here's what I got: Can it be used for generating missions? I dunno, judge yourself:

reported Mosquito cockpit inaccuracy/artefact
Hog_driver replied to Oreo147's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, it looks a bit weird, but fortunately, it's not a show stopper. Probably a 3D model bug. I noticed it while firing the cannons at night, you can see the muzzle flashes as if there was a hole in the aircraft nose. It's a small gripe though, there are more serious bugs to be fixed. Of course, I'd like the DCS Mossie to be perfect -
I just tried the Day Ranger mission in the campaign (latest OB, MT) and the AH worked well. I opened the mission in ME, didn't spend much time on the ground and taxied to the runway avoiding sharp turns and swerving (I think that may be a factor). I've also been told to "Fly straight, hold Boost 16+ 2-3mins" The AH worked well up to St. Omer, then I hit a tree like an idiot. Screenshots attached as a proof.

Patch Notes discussion 13th, 21st and 23rd April 2023
Hog_driver replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS 2.9
The same happened to me, but I just uninstalled N1 and bought N2 for 9.99 or something. As far as I was able to check, I have the hi-res London now. -
DCS Newsletter Discussion 21st April 2023 - Normandy 2.0

I'm not able to tell you how much bigger the new map is, but on my SSD, the new map occupies just under 44 GB. -
fixed Train still emitting horn sound when dead
Hog_driver replied to razo+r's topic in Bugs and Problems
"He was going down the grade makin' 90 miles an hour His whistle broke into a scream He was found in the wreck, with his hand on the throttle" I guess this must be the case -
Solved indeed!

IIRC, a Lancaster mod is on the way?

I know. You don't have to be so cruel, guys.

All right, all right, I get it. So instead of the bomb, can we get the bomber version?
-
I flew some train strafing missions in the Mosquito and P-47 and it would be great if there were more effects, such as explosion, steam from the destroyed engine, etc. It would be fun and maybe it would make people fly Warbirds more Just look at this video:

Please add the 4,000 lb bomb for the Mosquito. I've read it could be equipped with a 30-second fuse for low-level bombing (to collapse railroad tunnels, for example).
-
That would be a great addition to the dynamic campaign (TM).
-
Yeah, with DCS, you have to be very creative sometimes.
-
If I'm not mistaken, they kind of do in the V for Victory campaign, if you don't follow correct night approach procedures, but I think that a workaround was used to implement this.

cannot reproduce ai crashing into the ground
Hog_driver replied to DukeAngus's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
I sincerely hope so. Yesterday, two 109s chasing my Mossie crashed into the Channel (very kind of them, I was running away at 30 feet hoping they'd hit the water). An FW190 "Zero" crashed into a mountain slope trying to outmaneuver me in the Marianas Airfield Denial mission. Kamikaze training? -
I tested it today with cold'n'dark startup and in level flight, it was 1-2 degrees off (roll). So, not great, not terrible. PS. It's Reflected Simulations, not Enigma

Hi! Have fun playing DCS, have patience with bugs!

It's Oboe mission time, you have to choose in which cockpit to fly; the well-lit, optimistic non-MT version: or dark, depressing MT version:

Apart from a properly working AH, could we get a "quick & dirty" solution such as, let's say, "press X to reset the AH"?
