  1. Was busy with my CDU project, will try it tomorrrow. Gesendet von meinem SM-T820 mit Tapatalk
  2. The latest version of Helios 1.6 has support for the A-10 C II. But be aware you might have conflicts with your "normal" A-10C" profile. (At least, I had).
  3. At least the lock-down has had something positive for my progress with the CDU panel. It's up and running! After my troublesome approach with the Leo Bodnar Board and the LED lit switches, I took the plunge into the world of sketches and re-designed the whole panel. Thanks to @Crosshairs for his work on the CDU/AAP sketch. Although I miss the back-lightning, the new switches fit way better and the matrix array saved me a lot of soldering. Maybe I stick with just flood light inside the console. So, last mile to go with installing the CDU and the AAP into my (carpenter wise half-done) right console. Still one week off, so did I hear anybody say ... ARC-210? Here is the movie snippet: IMG_9036.avi Soooo happy! This will be a good year!
  4. So glad, I got it working Now it's time to implement my AAP panel (to free it from the zero delay board first) and connect the two parts. Here's the promised code: cdu_Cross__alt.ino
  5. OK, figured it out myself. It seems the sketch file has some typo in it, the CDU's brightness keys (special character "+" and "-") where changed in the loop portion of the sketch with "<" and ">". Also the Data + and - keys for switching the waypoints didn't work. Last thing is that the brightness rocker switch makes the display brighter when the "-" (left key/ DIM) is pressed. I tried to change it within the matrix portion of the sketch by changing the position of + and -, didn't work. But I can easily live with that. I will paste my *.ino later on for the people who have the same problems. Anyway, credits for the Arduino sketch go to you, Crosshairs, thank for your outstanding work. (LSK key was faulty or bad soldered, changed it, now it works again.
  6. Hi Crosshairs, I managed to have my CDU up and running with the help of your arduino sketch. BUt there are still some buttons I cant convince to be pushed in game (e.g. LSK 3_L, DIM, BRT). Did you experience any similar problem at a certain stage of development? I checked all switches for continuity, everything was fine. I then double checked the input pins, changed the input pins and the sketch accordingly, even changed the switch for a new one. No ideas left. Happy New Year in advance!
  7. @galinette : Did you find any solution for the wiring, yet?
  8. Would surely be interesting, but does the DCS F-16 module itself go as deep as further information will get? I'd love to have that for the A-10C's CDU also, but I thing certain things aren't just programmed in out civil version of the sim.
  9. Is there any possibility to change a .lua or the translation to something else, to modify the button labels for the personal settings inside the options screen? I would love to rename them to provide myself with a clearer picture of each setting combination.
  10. 4th tab from the left in options, just above "show pilot..."
  11. Maybe that helps a bit.
  12. Do you have the ‚Force callsigns‘ box ticked? Maybe it‘s waiting for the callsign and name of the airfield? Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk
  13. To be honest, I wouldn‘t fall for that plastic crap again. Had a similar one for one year and suddenly several usb ports stopped working. It was awfully getting hot, when powered with the AC adapter. I went for one, made from aluminium and ever since the usb devices never disconnect. I can recommend the ‚ICY BOX IB-AC6110‘. It has it‘s Price-tag but it‘s worth every cent. https://www.amazon.de/ICY-BOX-IB-AC6110-Voll-Aluminium-Klettbefestigung/dp/B00Q4RF1UC/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=ICY+BOX+IB-AC6110&qid=1605295808&sr=8-3 Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk
  14. Looks nice and clean, leaves me a little jealous :). Glad the pictures from my cdu project album went down the drain with the forum update.
  15. Did you progress with your CDU?
  16. According to that picture, the radios position is indeed a little behind or at least next to your butt.
  17. Regarding the upcoming ARC 210 radio, are you planning to use an 128x64 pixel display, connected to an Arduino or rather go for a LCD / OLED display connected to your graphics-card (to have the data exported via a viewport)?
  18. I wish you to have more luck with your project than I had up to now. I have to admit, I'm a real freshman to pit building, soldering, programming a.s.o. ..., so maybe I rushed the project to much. From my point of view the panel has some glitches, indeed. What I miss the most at the moment, is a baseplate to screw the built CDU to the Dzus rails. f you use the clear plate, the line-select keys are difficult to put into the needed breadboard (to close to the edge). I found it very difficult, to get sufficient space between the LCD display and it's parts and the breadboard (I used the pushbuttons w/ the integrated led's) and still be able to press the buttons. As a solution to that, I put little patches of self-adhesive cellular rubber on the backside of the keyes. After all, I put the project on hold for now, making a complete new breadboard with new push buttons (about 60 $ down the drain), considering to light the CDU with SMD led stripes (saw that yesterday in a from Craig S. about his radio cluster at about the 50:05 timestamp).
  19. Am I the only one, or does anyone else get the warning, when the "rest of the world buy" page (https://virpil-controls.eu/shop.html) of virpils shop is called up.
  20. My taxiway (leading me out of the hangar) is blocked by another A-10 in front of me. Looking on the map I couldn't see it (maybe a static object?)
  21. Or at the left side bottom of each page.
  22. THere also isn't even a searchfield to scan the specific topic/subforum.
  23. If you click the Notifications tab and go to Message center--> left pane-->Subscriptions PITA anyway...
