5600x + b500 is up to $200 less than intel + z690, some food for thought definitely -

PC upgrade - Mobo, CPU and RAM
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Ala12Rv-Tundra's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
thank you , that sounds like a decent starting point -
As you can see on my signature, my current PC is more than 4 year old. i5 8400 - 32gb ram- mb H370 aorus somehow it provides a quite decent (for my gamestyle) VR experience. I´m thinking about upgrading them but keeping my GPU, SSD, power supply (gigabyte 800w) budget is tight like when I bought my computer 4 years ago. Even for those days standard, I choose a mid level PC. I haven´t followed the usual AMD/Intel war during these years, so I´m completely at lost, but for saving your time, I´m not looking into a $600 cpu, i9 12900K is not an option What are decent mid level candidates? i7? ryzen 5? I read somewhere ryzen is quite good for single thread apps like DCS , comparing with the same range of Intel. Is that true? For RAM I´m looking for 32gb which fit the motherboard I choose. But firstly I guess I have to figure out the cpu socket. Appreciate your input!

as far as I know, speedbrake remains in for an overhead using the Hornet, both shore and carrier patterns. Once you are rolling down the runway though, pop it out to help with the braking. -
<<SOLD>> Thrustmaster HOTAS Magnetic Base & F/A-18 HOTAS Joystick Grip

I have both warthog and hornet stick and the only wonky feeling might be the second stage trigger. The pinky pad could be longer And my unit came with a faulty ssw which tm replaced and solved at no charge. Is a great stick, a bit different from warthog. Also take into account it works very good for tomcat and it's a replica for hornet, harrier, eagle and most likely future strike eagle modules -

sound module custom files
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to dpj463's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As per Andre comments some months ago, first of all you need to specify how your settings are on simshaker sound module: mono, stereo or 5.1. Depending on that, the software uses one file or another for THE SAME effect. Apparently the key is within the file name, which provides cues. You only want to modify the files that your system runs, not all of them. Unless Im very much mistaken.- 6 replies

Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC, HispaPanels F-16 ICP panels
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Ala12Rv-Tundra's topic in For Sale
I would strongly suggest buying a full built unit from other manufacturer The diy kits from hispa panel are not worth the hassle honestly, unless you are seriously into diy stuff and with resources -
I will this weekend, appreciate sir. I'm sure it doesn't help my flat has some issues with grounding, a technician told me the pcb from my boiler stopped working because of wrong grounding values, it's not 0v but 10v or something similar, he took measurements

What is the minimum value for voltage you think the motors can sustain? Mine with 9v are still acting up

Precisely this weekend I watched a yt video where a guy showed his, let me find it

I think you need to check the "Hear like in helmet" option for some game sound playing via your speakers, and others like RWR and radio, playing via your VR headset -

I guess you depend on what Windows and DCS think is "Default". Please manually select the proper device within DCS and I thin you would be golden. -
I think it has nothing to do with early access. the 3 seconds statement is more likely aimed at those who complain about no free flight missions available.

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It s more inmersive for things like NVG controls, and definitely catapult salute if you are into naval ops. I also have kneeboard controls on them. But salute is what I enjoy the most.- 3421 replies
