  1. I built mine with a USB simracing handbrake, no videos though I will check those videos for more ideas, thx!
  2. Also you have to placed to sensor over your headset at a certain position of the edge of the cover, to maximize the sensor Trackin working angle
  3. Being honest, it's quite tempting. Good luck with the sale!!
  4. Winwing takeoff panel has what you are asking for.
  5. Ey, what do you use the small programable keyboard by your left vertical side for? Comms? Cold start switches? I own two of them
  6. In my case the second stage trigger feels clacky, other than that, very happy.
  7. I concur, the VR pilot looks fantastic and great inmersion booster. When I take out my headset, and come back to the sim moments later, my VR needs to be recentered. In those moments Im scared by the Sleepy Hollow fighter pilot lol
  8. I´m a noob, however check you have the proper altimeter setting done, and that you are flying radar altimeter on. Set your ALOW warning to 450. With that settings, when you are in the middle of your final turn, with just 90º left to BRC, your warning alt tone should sound. It´s set that way so you have a confirmation your sink rate is good without keeping your eyes of the HUD.
  9. I have to admit it´s tempting, despite me being completely happy with my upgraded Cougar throttle!
  10. I use the tacan bug. It's moving counter clockwise as I fly downwind. When it reaches my "west" position, I wait for the next dot, and then begin my turn.
  11. Just read the carrier positions herself as to the wind faces the angle deck. So the wind bearing should be BRC minus 9 degrees
  12. Watch out for a overheating amp, apparently it's a redundant issue with bk Also you could improve the isolation between the chair and floor, so the energy remains in the chair frame and eventually, your ass
  13. yes I do customize effects for every airframe. I don´t think you need simultaneous output, that´s for jetseat + shakers Booster could help if your amp is providing less power than it should, but it might reduce lifespan. Bear in mind every rig, chair/cockpit/amps/shaker is different so we can share settings but they don´t replicate the same feeling.
  14. You simply could edit the mission weather, add wind coming from north to south so the wind faces your aircraft.
  15. I would take what you see in the trailer with a pinch of salt, check the comments where they credit other company for the engine nozzles. The very same the pilot looks real to me, not the intended 3d pilot model like some assume.
  16. just saying that´s not a bad PC to run VR
  17. looks fantastic
  18. Another option is buying hall sensor upgrade kits for your current pedals. That opinion you quoted sounds lue me lol. I would add VKB only cheap part is the pricetage. Amazing quality and building and engineering.
  19. Appreciated your work, thx
  20. I guess 3rd party devs need some time to catch up
  21. Does Leap motion work with all DCS modules?
  22. I bought a Virpil desk mount, which I place centered. Joy base at the botton, then handcrafted some L-shaped brackets for left and right MFD. The desk mount has drilled holes all long the vertical side, so it´s easy to place the MFDs at the right height. The icing on the cake is applying a small rounded adhesive silicone pad to each center button of each column and row. So orientating myself by touch is quite easy Then I handcrafted a U-shape bracket at the top of the mount, inverted. That´s where I placed the BuddyFox A-10 UFC, a great piece of hardware. Yesterday I received a F-16 ICP unit I bought from an Italian user, I need to figure it out how to place the device. And finally by Xmas I bought a programmable keyboard to replicate Hornet/Harrier UFC. It´s just 24 keys, I will print some covers and add again the silicone pads on certain keys for orientation purposes as well. If you are on Facebook, I have posted several times my rig over there across different DCS groups, let me know by private message if you are interested.
  23. sheet metal worker here for a few years, congrats on your work.
  24. For me, yes it does indeed. I fly a lot of traffic patterns with my modules, and find the gear lever a massive inmersion booster. Much more than pressing a button from Warthog throttle or clicking one of the small buttons from the PointCtrl finger unit. What´s more, the lever allows me to operate the gear while keeping my eyes out of the cockpit, with muscle memory I find the lever easily. Tomorrow it will arrive a F-16 ICP. And by xmas I bought a programmable keyboard for Hornet/Harrier UFC. I like the best of two worlds, physical devices and VR.
