I just set up a labels file to have dots in grey at certain distance's, this has helped me find targets in VR easier, they turn off at a certain distance for diffrent objects, I found I also had trouble seeing targets on my 37@ monitor when I tried it with Track IR, now for me it seems the high resolution of monitors are having the same target problems as VR they are hard to see, I prefer VR with my labels mod. I will say the only part thet VR does not work very well in is FOV and when objects are by the sides of the lenses, they can be quite blurry, this happens for me when looking over my shoulder at my wingman, im hoping the Gen 2 will have a wider FOV Cheers Hotdognz

There is an easier way - I just opened the single player carrier take off missions in each map in the mission editor ,these missions have static planes on the Stennis already done by the DCS team, I then just removed anything in the mission not need along with the 4x F18's in the mission that fly of the Carrier, and saved it as a mission template for carrier missions.

Eaglewings Im in the same camp as Hansangb, I cant not fly a flightsim now without VR at all, I have had my Vive since release and now use it exclusively for sims (DCS, Xplan11, IL2 BOS series, Project cars 2) its the only way to play. I have a new 37" wide screen monitor and only last night did a flight in the F18 on it with Track IR which was how I used to play DCS, I was back in VR with 5 mins, looking at the flat 2D image was an immersion breaker for me. and it just didn't gel well, I missed the speed the reality of it and seeing what an actual pilots see's. I ended up purchasing it just last night as the guys I fly with have it so I need it to join in there missions, then it got updated....ha ha im your lucky guy.

Thanks for the info, once I had dropped the waypoint I need to head back to point 0 and it was there i could make it a race track pattern.

Hi guys Im trying to set a K130 into a race track pattern in the editor, but I cant find the Race-Track option at all I only have Circle available to me under Pattern. Under advanced Waypoint Actions I have done the following. Type = Preform task Action = Orbit Number = 3 Enabled = ticked Patter = only allows me Orbit there is no Race-Track option. Can anyone help me out here ??. Cheers Stephen

Has any one managed to map the U key to a joystick button, it seems its only bound the keyboard, makes it hard to trap on a carrier in VR. Cheers

me and my mates playing MP last night have connected within at least 1 meter of the trap easily, it seems to have a good capture arc, you do need to be straight to it though, also make sure you are in HI NSW steer mode as it helps turning on the deck.

+1 on this would be awesome as a MP Coop option for a mission.

Can some one explain the warning System on the Steam forums, as the rules laid out here don't seem to apply to the Steam forum for DCS and your mods over there just seem to apply permanent bans straight off with out any warnings at all, this happened to me at least 6 months ago.

In Steam you have the option to opt into the DCS beta program, you can do this for many games that are in a pre release stage or have regular updates DCS being one of them, its under the games properties page on the last tab (I think)

Wags I think this is a great decision and commend you for it, now we are all one client @ 2.5, Steam users deserve the same release schedules as none steam users, its about respect for the customer on both platforms and recognising we are all the same, I'm sure this will drive up sales on planes and terrains on the Steam platform. Hi all, Im currently using button 4 on the TM Warthog stick as a modifier button in the DCS config menu for each plane, this is allowing me todouble the amount of commands over all the buttons on the TM Warthog, I am only using it on certain buttons not all of them. I have a small problem which seems strange, its not acting like I thought it would, I thought it would act like a button where I hold it down and whilst held any button I have it mapped with the modifier would work in its modified state until I release it again, the trouble is its acting like a toggle button instead of a hold and use button. I can press it and use the button in its modified state, when I let go the button stays being used in its modified state until I press and release the button 4 again. I used to have a FLCS & TQS and understand the difference between the old /T & /H modes used, im not sure why my Warthog is doing this. Anyone shed any light on this. Cheers Stephen

Its such a shame that DCS did not communicate that the Persian Gulf map would only be available to the beta build in all its press releases (Emails to me) I don't see any need for this at all as I have many beta builds of DCS AC in my main branch stable version (Huey, AV8B, Spitfire), I have now had to install the beta just to access this map :(, If they had said this at the start I would have waited on my purchase.

Hi all I am unable to access the Kneeboard settings to be able to move or resize the kneeboard its greyed out, anyone else have this of know a fix ??, also its not keeping the directory under preference and I have to put it in every time, im using the 2.5 Open beta Cheers Stephen

The coupon says 60% of any DCS module for an unlimited time. I have tried it on every module in the store from original ED module's to 3rd party module' and it wont apply the 60%

Is the Coupon code still working I just purchased a sealed Track IR 5 that has a 60% off coupon code in it and its says its "Unlimited Time", but it doesn't apply a discount trying to get the 1944 Map ?? Cheers

Online seems fine on the servers I have played on, I would like the Steam edition to get a hotfix as I ave several mates who now cant play on my server because of this bug.

I managed to update DCS 1.5.8 none beta today to 2.5 Open beta All I did was open the CMD prompt, I did not use powershell like others have said and pointed it to my DCS folder which was in E:\DCS World 1.5\bin Once the CMD was pointing to that folder I typed the following without the "" "dcs_updater.exe update @openbeta" This updated the installer and then it ran and updated 1.5.8 and when finished I had 2.5 Openbeta, I then had to install the Nevada terrain as it did not drag it from my 2.2 directory, but gave me a prompt in the game to do this.
