  1. Using the above command lands for a server how do you know if its started or not ??, mine just sits at the DCS World screen.

  5. Playing in multiplayer 2 pilots in the same Yak, front pilot in control and turns on smoke, rear pilot see's it turn off, front pilot turns off smoke, rear pilot see's it turn on. Not sure if this is the same for the rear pilot if he has control as we did not test it, we could duplicate this bug every time we flew together.

  7. Is there a problem with the cheat keys for starting the engine, mine don't work even if I remap them ??, I did a search but it didnt turn up anything. Cheers

I'm flying DCS in less of a resolution than the native res of my 32" wide screen, should I be at the native res of 2560x1080 to spot enemy's easier ??, or should we should fly DCS in 640x480 or 800x600 then to see ground targets easier ??, actually I may try that tonight. I have no trouble spotting ground targets in IL2 BOS @ 2560x1080 (my monitors native res), I think the way the sim scales out the ground target models in the 1-3 km range is an issue. All my testing has been done on the Gulf map and all targets we placed on desert sand, not much ground clutter out in the desert. I also discovered in some testing that only certain units disappear at around 1.2km's and then come back into view, so far its mainly some of the WW2 assets pack that does it.

Targets also disappear, especially ground targets at around 4-1 kms they can be in sight and if you zoom in will just vanish, at 2 kms all ground vehicles should be clearly visible to the naked eye but they just vanish. and then come back at around 1 kms. There are 4 targets by the smoke, all are tracked vehicles from the WW2 assets pack The pics shown what I can see at 9 kms (no vehicles in sight) What I can see zoomed in at 4 kms (4 vehicles in sight) Target viability pic at around 1 kms, the bottom vehicle is in sight (green circle) there are 3 more vehicles in the red circle that pop in to the picture as you get past the 1 kms mark these vehicles should clearly show up. now Clearly DCS has a viability problem, makes using ground attack roles really hard especially the close in disappearing vehicles in my pics.

Wow the latest patch has turned my VR DCS into a slideshow for me, prior to this patch it was fantastic, is there any way to get the frames back to what we had, whats the recommended settings for a Vive on a 1080 TI, also getting lots of lag drawing in the visuals when looking around on the Vive, this never used to happen.

I just set up a labels file to have dots in grey at certain distance's, this has helped me find targets in VR easier, they turn off at a certain distance for diffrent objects, I found I also had trouble seeing targets on my 37@ monitor when I tried it with Track IR, now for me it seems the high resolution of monitors are having the same target problems as VR they are hard to see, I prefer VR with my labels mod. I will say the only part thet VR does not work very well in is FOV and when objects are by the sides of the lenses, they can be quite blurry, this happens for me when looking over my shoulder at my wingman, im hoping the Gen 2 will have a wider FOV Cheers Hotdognz

There is an easier way - I just opened the single player carrier take off missions in each map in the mission editor ,these missions have static planes on the Stennis already done by the DCS team, I then just removed anything in the mission not need along with the 4x F18's in the mission that fly of the Carrier, and saved it as a mission template for carrier missions.

Eaglewings Im in the same camp as Hansangb, I cant not fly a flightsim now without VR at all, I have had my Vive since release and now use it exclusively for sims (DCS, Xplan11, IL2 BOS series, Project cars 2) its the only way to play. I have a new 37" wide screen monitor and only last night did a flight in the F18 on it with Track IR which was how I used to play DCS, I was back in VR with 5 mins, looking at the flat 2D image was an immersion breaker for me. and it just didn't gel well, I missed the speed the reality of it and seeing what an actual pilots see's.   16. Thanks for the info, once I had dropped the waypoint I need to head back to point 0 and it was there i could make it a race track pattern.
  17. Hi guys Im trying to set a K130 into a race track pattern in the editor, but I cant find the Race-Track option at all I only have Circle available to me under Pattern. Under advanced Waypoint Actions I have done the following. Type = Preform task Action = Orbit Number = 3 Enabled = ticked Patter = only allows me Orbit there is no Race-Track option. Can anyone help me out here ??. Cheers Stephen

  20. Has any one managed to map the U key to a joystick button, it seems its only bound the keyboard, makes it hard to trap on a carrier in VR. Cheers
  21. me and my mates playing MP last night have connected within at least 1 meter of the trap easily, it seems to have a good capture arc, you do need to be straight to it though, also make sure you are in HI NSW steer mode as it helps turning on the deck.
  22. Has anyone be able to remap the U key to a Joystick, it seems its only available on keyboard at the moment, make it harder than it needs to be in VR
  23. Can some one explain the warning System on the Steam forums, as the rules laid out here don't seem to apply to the Steam forum for DCS and your mods over there just seem to apply permanent bans straight off with out any warnings at all, this happened to me at least 6 months ago.
  24. In Steam you have the option to opt into the DCS beta program, you can do this for many games that are in a pre release stage or have regular updates DCS being one of them, its under the games properties page on the last tab (I think)
