As I mostly fly VR I thought I would try the map in 2D mode with everything on max except shadows which were set to flat, my settings are in the picture. I did this as its been touted this new EDGE engine needs high end hardware which I consider myself to have. System rig 3090 no overclock 64 gig DDR4 i9 10850K with small over clock to 4800mhz Flight was F16 free flight and also a custom flight with an F18 at sunrise. FPS counters blown up as they were very small F16 Day F18 Sunrise It looked fantastic but I still consider the FPS to be very low for such high end hardware with how the map looks, it reminds me very much of a map from ARMA 3 like Tanoa

Try flying this map with AI units on it for a mission, its becomes really unplayable, my VR 45fps (reprojection on) went down to 20fps, even after following the GR video and turning shadows off, I run quite high settings as I have top of the line gear 10850K 3090, I know I can drop settings but then it just looks like a map from a game back in 2010 and I don't believe we should be having to do this. up to this point I have had 2.7 running OK Syria was fine, this nap to me is a map that wont get used by a lot of players because of its issues and that in it self is a shame. I cant see any point in building new stuff for DCS if its not going to come out as playable on the middle of the road gear (which most people have) even in open beta, all you doing is annoying the player base who support you. Still glad it was free and we didn't have to pay for it, i have now made a note to myself that I will only try any maps that come out from this point on in a free trail so I can see if they are playable or not first before purchase.

Nineline just tested you recommended settings on my rig. Specs 3090 i9 10850K 64gig of ram Whist it certainly keeps a very reasonable FPS, it just looks really bad in the air looking at the map, I cant honestly believe ED would want any one flying with these settings on this map, it just doesn't deliver the visuals this map is built for, ill tweak it up from here for Pancake mode but as others are reporting i'm not hoping for much once I get some details. Here are your settings and also what they look like in game when I flew it 10 mins ago so others can see what it looks like, flight was free flight F18.

Nineline whats your system specs for these settings to get 60-70fps on Marianas so I can duplicate and start testing ??

Hi is there any way to keep the mirrors on when I jump in the Hind, every time I have to hit the M key, its not like this in any other DCS module, I cant find any settings to enable mirrors to on all the time ?? Cheers

There a lot of buttons that need an On/Off binding or up/down the auto pilot buttons are just one example that need this, in its current state you would need 8 separate bindings to switch the 4 autopilots on and off.

Just managed to get this mod working now as I had a brake issue whicjh is fixed, one more question in VR the canopy reflections are way over done, is there a way to remove these at all ?? Cheers and great mod BTW Hotdognz

Hey guys, im trying this mod out for the first time and having a real issue with it stopping with the brakes on and not moving at all once stopped, the front wheel break seems to be engaged as as I power up the nose dips I have assigned my toe brakes to my Ch rudder pedals, I don't have any conflicts that I can see and have removed any other brake bindings, but as i start to roll along the ground if I hit the toe brake or use the rudder to turn the plane just comes to a stop and wont move. Anyone else seen this issue, I have no issues with any other DCS plane or DCS mod. Cheers

The level of clouds too is a bit disappointing they seem to be flat underneath and limited by there depth with no random height any where on them, most look to be about 500-600m thick in most places. I

2.6 was running great on my 3090 i9 10850k, and the G2 2.7 not so good, any where from 33-45 with reprojection on all maps with Cacaus being slightly better, no setting have change yet but im felling like I need to turn some stuff down, its like I have gone backwwards to my 2080ti

I really cant say I'm excited by the new propellers (and I fly WW2), I mean apart from Youtube movie makers who's movies maybe will look better, sounds like it to took a bit of time and effort to get them working nice, so many little things in DCS that need tweaking or fixing that should have been way ahead of some thing like this being implemented, the eye candy will keep us distracted though. Still looking forward to the F18 updates.

Hi all, just I have just got a Jetseat and have it working great in DCS, does anyone run one in conjunction with a Buttkicker ??, if you do what sort of sounds from the planes are you letting the Buttkicker handle now you also have Jetseat vibrations. Cheers

Hi Surrexen, I plan to run this mission on my server for my DCSNZA squad for the free to play 2 weeks, do the clients have to edit the .lua file you mention of just the server ??. Also do you have any more info on the missions they can encounter ??

Yes it is in the Windows list as a Razer Orbweaver and its also in ky Synapse and I can edit the profiles and save it. It only dropped of the DCS controllers list last week

I have a Razer keypad that I use for DCS for views and some other key bindings, DCS has stopped listing this item under the control options now and its unable to be use, how do I get it back in the controls listings. Cheers
