  1. agree with art-j. this is evidence of bad textures. remove all mods and run a repair.
  2. this fix will not help the prop issue but perhaps the long load time. ensure you have added exceptions to DCS folders in your security software.
  3. this is my number and has been since probably birth of this computer in 2021
  4. i forgot to add a screenshot i took as an example of the GUIDs null
  5. to my knowledge no. i have a controller with GUID of "53E5BBD0-924B-11ec-8001-444553540000". searched registry and came up with no results. however the GUID per controller remains constant between aircraft. so you could do a batch file to rename everything from the old GUID to the new GUID ren "Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {12345678-924B-11ec-8001-444553540000}.diff.lua" "Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {53E5BBD0-924B-11ec-8001-444553540000}.diff.lua" https://www.windowscentral.com/how-rename-multiple-files-bulk-windows-10
  6. hello. they do look blurry. what resolution is your cockpit textures set to? null
  7. roger. guessing that too. good luck and clear skies.
  8. importing yes! i renamed my LUAs but import likely works fine. renaming the LUAs is how i did it. the repair process is sufficient to get the game folder healthy. there is little need for anyone to reinstall. many times users do this only to find that either windows is causing problems. or something in Saved Games. i do not believe is much in the registry that needs manual changing. but repair will do this.
  9. hi. no do a repair. there is almost never a need to reinstall. the repair will fix everything. rename your \saved games\dcs folder to .bak. the controls will be in the \saved games\dcs\config\input folder. come back after your repair. i will help you if you need it.
  10. hello. have a look at this PDF i created. make sure you keep a backup on the Saved Games. this is most important. https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/DCS_New_Computer.pdf
  11. hello. please post the DCS.LOG created after your crash.
  12. please post your latest DCS.LOG from when it crashes.
  13. are you having an issue with starting DCS or crashing while in DCS? the errors you seeing look to me as you suspect already. those are errors generated by the MOD. since DCS updated the MOD likely needs to be updated to work with latest DCS version.
  14. That is unusual. Just to make sure recheck. Also Norton has logs that will display what gets blocked. I do not have Norton so I cannot verify this link. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v19803667
  15. Currently changing my folder name LOL
  16. sorry if i missed this detail. have you added exclusions to malwarebytes for the various DCS and DCS connected folders?
  17. did you provide them with your service tag? if so you should be good. they can look up the inventory of what they sent you and provide a compatible DIMM. and if it is wrong they will take it back.
  18. DCS will only update when you run the shortcut. So no updates per se while flying. However DCS may, for example, compile a shader that you do not already have compiled. Depending on system and how many shaders, it may take a moment. Those exceptions stop the security software from scanning those folders. The idea is the security software will check the file, go online to check a database of known badness, and then continue. It could be other things but this explains why the exceptions make it faster and no stuttering.
  19. unless the remotely outside chance that you have a rouge version of DCS, yes it is safe. there are literally thousands of DCS users that do not have problems. the update is supposed to drop today (FEB 22, 2024) after a slight delay. so i think your plan is sound. unless the remotely outside chance that you have a rouge version of DCS, yes it is safe. there are literally thousands of DCS users that do not have problems. the update is supposed to drop today (FEB 22, 2024) after a slight delay. so i think your plan is sound.
  20. "yellow line in the performance monitor" do you mean in DCS? or windows perfmon? DCS it means GPU present frame time. (i think)
  21. i see you have malwarebytes. sometimes malwarebytes can be a little firm. it is in its nature to be firm. better safe than sorry. i suspect is is trying to create a cookie like for language. malwarebytes may be affecting DCS too. some people report false positive results from the security software.
  22. when you are about to do the update, rename each saved games folder to .BAK. run the update and let it do what the updater wants to do. you really do not have much choice i suppose. you can always repair the DCS installation. when it is done, run DCS. a new Saved Games folder will be created. then copy all the old Saved Games folders you want over to new folder. before you start take note of the Saved Games folder that has the newest date on it. also open and examine the file dcs_variant.txt found in the install folder (where mine is) \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta. do a properties on your shortcut you use to start DCS. this will tell you exactly.
  23. yikes a lot to digest here. i think it is best to go slow. i looked at your log and see you have no AA. change to DLAA. beware of ghosting. also post screenshots of your Nvidia settings. here are mine
  24. hello. post the suspect mission. others can try it to see and share their results. MT will eventually be the only version. so i suggest using it and posting problems you encounter. thanks @rob10 for typo! post your current specs. we can see if anything is amiss as far as below system requirements for DCS. see answer for 2. generally, in my experience, it is best to get two exact matches of DIMMS / SODIMMS. so two compatible dell or crucial that are the same. RAM does do good. the more the better. i have an alienware from early 2021. i bit the bullet and got 128 GB. i do not have memory related issues. of course i could have went with overkill. but i had the money. i also have 32 GB pagefile. for the rant see answer 2. and also add exceptions to your AV software. there is lots of other tidbits but lets go slow. see this post always come back for help. i surely will if i can. if you keep at it you will love DCS again. good luck.
