  1. Iranians do it and even some USN demo pilots do it and even aerobrake the landing. Finnish air force does it with their Hornets too, flare and aerobrake a bit. In DCS flight modelling on that is a bit off as it is impossible to land with aerobraking on Hornet. With the F14, you need to land with a bit of power to aerobrake on Runway. So, it is possible and doable. Not flaring thing is meant only when you land on carrier.
  2. +1 Hopefully, we'll see this around 2025.
  3. Somewhere down the line, the Super Hornet would be a great addition, any early possible ones, expecting an E version as F version would be just too complicated and time consuming to develop concerning the time phase. If possible, whatever is easier for ED or whichever third party takes this up.
  4. Personally, not much interested in the F-16A unless it comes as a HUGE discount for the current Block 50 F-16 owners, seems more like a downgrade, brings only minimal changes. It simply does not bring the amount of changes like between the Legacy Hornet and the Super Hornet which is actually an upgrade.
  5. Would love to see a GR1A and or GR3A.
  6. What capacity of fuel tanks/Drop tanks did it carry, the options? The cannon armament? Hope it has these to have some emergency self defence weapons if missiles miss...
  7. With their special J-8PP variant itself shows the restrictive nature of Chinese military aircrafts (especially on their avionics) that are still in service... The Su-30MKK seems unlikely...especially with some of it having Chinese avionics. Yes, I know it would sell like hot cakes, I'd more than like this to have been the module, but...restrictions on data regarding avionics can make the Su-30 as module very unlikely. Either way...Su-30 series is the aircraft I sorely wish for DCS to include, maybe one day, it could become a reality.
  8. Maybe difficulty in getting J-8II with the homegrown Chinese avionics and they really did not have much of a choice. Chinese can be very restrictive about their homegrown avionics and hence this adjustment. There are still some J-8II in service as reserve interceptors.
  9. I think there had been some big difficulties in getting the absolute Chinese variant as the Chinese can be very restrictive and secretive about their homegrown avionics. They still use some of these planes as reserve interceptors of sorts. I suppose we can expect this in 2025.
  10. I think it is quite hard for them to get data on the real Chinese homemade avionics, and may have had to make up with this one that has more data access with western avionics.
  11. Yes, Super Etendard would be much more doable than the Rafale which is quite new...
  12. Recorded use in Operation Wooden leg, 1985 on a strike at PLO HQ Tunis. six F-15Ds attacking PLO Headquarters in Tunis with two GBU-15 guided bombs per aircraft and two F-15Cs re-striking the ruins with six Mk-82 unguided bombs each. This was one of the few times air-superiority F-15s (A/B/C/D models) were used in tactical strike missions. Israeli air-superiority F-15 variants have since been extensively upgraded to carry a wider range of air-to-ground armaments, including JDAM GPS-guided bombs and Popeye missiles over the years. Source: Wiki. Israelis modify a lot of their planes from their original versions, like the F-15C US based in service F-15C (vanilla) are not currently configured to carry AG ordnances, they maybe can do it. But they see it much better with it doing air superiority roles and leaving the Derivative two seat Strike Eagles to be the multi role plane.
  13. F-15C does not truly have secondary ground attack ability other than the ability to do a rough or improvised strafe runs. The Israelis are the ONLY ones modified their F-15C and D to be ground attack capable, that is carrying dumb bombs. Real US F-15C only can do improvised rough ground strafe, it is pure air to air configured and designed aircraft. Su-27 and Mig 29 DO have real secondary ground attack ability, they can carry dumb bombs and even UG rockets. Yes, I do really love to see US F-15C as a module. What we have is just the FC3 stuff.
  14. Is there going to be an Iranian F-14 being added?
  15. Mig 23 being realized is good news, indeed. I was also talking about the many AI air assets that is in need of updation as well. But seeing plenty of mods and all, like seeing the Su-30 mods and still we have this GIMP paint Su-30 AI model flying. Lot of core AI air asset models need updating, We are in also big need of Boeing 747 and Il-96 as AI to do all those escort missions scenarios. It has taken practically ages to update the AI 3D air models, some got updated, lot more missing and still GIMP Paint planes flying. I understand Mig 29A development on hold due to security and prosecution issues for ED. I am glad to see at least some cold war mid era red jets are being realized, that is good. Very true, cold war era is being balanced, the early to mid cold war era.
  16. There is hardly any red aircraft other than FC3 versions to balance out with the many many amount very modern blueforce. I mean, there is Mig 21, Mig 15 and Mig 19. So, hopefully, if ED cannot do it, then maybe other developers who may not be so constrained with too many restrictions. So all in all, as understood, Mig 29 is in indefinite hold until further notice. There are a lot of mods of even latest aircrafts...at least want to see some AI 3D assets being updated. We still have a lot of early LOMAC quality AI 3D planes that sorely needs updating.
  17. Perfectly fine with all 4 of those. But what peaks my interest is the J-8 series, that very supersonic looking plane, Q-5 is also good, a rarely seen one. Then again, I am very sure that MKK would also sell like hot cakes if that is one selected. So far, it seems they are in a predicament due to lack of material on all four.
  18. Q-5 Fantan? Hmm...I was really hoping for a Shenyang J-8. Although derived from Mig 21, it does look fresh with its very "pointy" design. I do not know about the J-7 series, but feels to me like yet another Mig 21, looks like one as it is derived from it albeit improved in aerodynamics. But I can see that Q-5 and J-7 series having users nations other than China.
  19. Hope to see at least J-8 or if possible some early Flanker.
  20. Oh, my bad...forget the new model comes separately only with the SC module.
  21. While the obsolete CVN 70 carrier model is removed, need to also remove the OLD model Admiral Kuznetsov.
  22. It has been a very loooooong time and still so many 3D models have LOMAC graphics, some of the 3d models are not even in the list of the, " to be updated" models, mostly AI 3D planes like Su-30, Mig 27 etc...I am think that we'll be seeing LOMAC AI assets till 2035 too... I mean, I am not expecting them to make a full on Russian module. But the 3d models...it looks very awkward to see "gimp" level graphics AI plane assets on todays 3D models.
  23. Pretty sure at least they could give us revamped 3d AI models (Russian Su-30 AI) that is still in LOMAC graphics. Also, it wont be too hard to make cold war era Russian jets, at least the early variants.
  24. I have just tested using the AGM-84E SLAM on some targets, attached a track file. The thing is that, the weapon is not following what the camera is seeing or tracking. On the camera it shows a lock till the it reaches very close to the target. But on the missile view, it is actually off course. SLAM test.trk
  25. It wasn't there before in the previous patches, I have not experienced it then. Hopefully, it can be rectified at some point.
