The datalink image flickers so much that one could barely see the target or ID it proper. The flickering is extreme that it just hurts the eyes trying to focus on the target. The older Walleye seems far far better. Is the flickering this extreme? Or are there any methods to reduce this flickering?

What is the aircraft you would like to fly on DCS World?
jojyrocks replied to 6S.Duke's topic in IndiaFoxtEcho
Realistic expectations. I do wish to see - data availability - F104. So, Primarily I'd like to see the F-104 being done. Whichever is possible. I have also voted for the F-105 and F-102, and, I think getting data on that would be tough...well whichever of these three being possible and these planes if made will sell like hot cakes if made. -
how to perform an aerodynamic breaking with the F1 ?
jojyrocks replied to cmbaviator's topic in DCS: Mirage F1
So far, when it comes to Difficulty on aerobraking for DCS planes: This plane is doable, when you get it to angle on Yellow on AoA, easier to hold the aerobrake nose up. It is easier when lightly loaded. If loaded, can be bit hard. The impossible model in DCS is F-18, unless you put flaps to half, you just cannot aerobrake (I've seen Finnish pilots do it). The second most hardest is Mig 21 and 3rd, the Tomcat. -

It can be done, you need to be in the AOA between green and yellow, or even just yellow and modulate the stick...Yellow has more chance of getting a good hold to aerobrake. Airshow vid - Timestamp - 4:25 -
It is hard to do an aerobrake, but It is possible. I have vids of even NAVY airshow pilots doing despite NATOPS manual and all saying you are not supposed to do that. It can, you just have to adjust the throttle a bit to reduce the sink rate and just full aft stick, hold nose up, modulate and keep it till the nose touches down. Doing it is VERY difficult, it can be done. Sometimes, I can do it, If I modulate the throttle, just on the threshold of rear wheel touchdown, adjusting the sink rate and nose up attitude. US Navy airshow pilots are seen doing aerobraking landing and Iranian pilots. So it would be a matter of, can it be done? I mean, even Navy pilots follow NATOPS manual and even they are seen to be doing it. This plane is very wobbly, I thought the Mig 21 was the wobbliest plane in DCS. But this one is hard to get a kill with guns, almost impossible. This plane is in the early release state and understandably, needs more polishing. Hope the FM gets more priority on refinement. Mig 21 is controllable to get gun kills.

FPS issue when coming in for a landing, I have no issues of FPS problem with other maps so far. But in South Atlantic map, just when closing in for a landing, the FPS becomes so uncontrollable that I loose control of the plane that the landing becomes almost impossible. This happens almost every time when landing, other times, it is there, just sporadic. That said, I really like this map, quite scenic.

Feedback Thread - AJS-37 Viggen Patch July 21st 2022
jojyrocks replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
We can aerobrake now, Before, it was impossible. But it still does a bit of an abrupt "pitch up" effect once the rear gear touches, forcing a tail strike. Needs to master control to keep it steady now. I think, it still needs some polishing, coz Airshow videos show them aerobraking very smoothly. -
Air Combat Sim Podcast - Episode #33: Heatblur Simulations
jojyrocks replied to IronMike's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Personally for me, I will just settle for the A-6E, just the A-6E. I am not interested in the KA-6 is(That is just me)....it is merely a just a tanker and I do not fancy flying circles...only good for multiplayer folks, not Single Player. I hope they (the developers) just decrease their own workload and merely work only on just A-6E Intruder than other variants of it. This itself, they said, it's complex. It'll sell like hot cakes too. It is already taking them long to bring out the F-14 Iranian AF version. We do not have EW capability or behaviour modelled enough to utilize the dedicated jammer EA-6. How the ECM functions and how it affects radar signatures or interference has yet to be fully modelled. So, just the A-6E would be wonderful. rest of them can be AI till their functions and environment is fully fleshed out. As for the F-4 - I guess we'll be seeing the E model first, then the J or S. (I'm OK with just one Navy/MC). Since they said it will be only coming as separate module and separately priced, I do like to see difference, more bang for the buck. I believe we'd see more tangible difference in either S or the British Phantom...lots of difference and goodies. Rest of the Cold war era planes I'd love to see, taking into the likelihood of being possible - Jaguar, J-35J/F, A-4E Skyhawk and F-104...these are retired and has seen good service. -
It is hard to get data on 21st century Japanese Planes, and Japanese are very very secretive on their planes. So data of F-4EJ, especially the Kai versions will be almost impossible to get. I am perfectly fine with the British Naval Phantom, but I think the work are that will be even more significant than other Phantoms, coz the British used different agents and also need to change the structure to accommodate it.
-
As for myself. I voted for the F-4J. Reason being - Carrier fun, Multi-role, updated avionics and other aero improvements, Blue Angels option (Hoping they come with removable pylons). It has a good track record too on the combat side of things. I actually wanted to vote for F-4S as it is the most updated Naval Phantom, but I think, it might be hard to get data on F-4S than with F-4J plus (I am just assuming btw). Either way, for the Naval Phantom, I am OK with J or S.
-
It was intentional...I really wanted to, but S barely saw action, the J did. Instead, I added the British one, coz more difference with the Spey engine. The S is the most updated Navy phantom, still it came late, barely saw action. J was done in big numbers, saw more action, was updated version from B and was also there in the Blue Angels. Anyways...I just added S. After all, this is to view the interest of the community.

I have only listed the versions that would seem workable, can work multi purpose, also built in numbers or has seen action. Niche versions like G versions need further development on EW simulation, and most the listed out choices can perform what the G does, which is SEAD. British Phantom, I do not know if it is doable, but is very different with its engines. The British one is the odd one here, likely less doable. Choice of only one.

Yes, more doable than the current in service JAS-39 Gripen , almost fully retired. JAS 39 would be hard to get data on...
