  1. Well, they've still got about a month and a half to reveal the thing but I must say, the curiosity of what it might be is getting to me. I simply can't wait
  2. you are of course free to voice your opinion, but did the delays or the toxic really affect you to the point where the game itself doesn't appeal to you anymore. I get that the forums may very well be a place you really don't like, but do you think it is going to be enough to stop you from playing a sim you've invested £1000 and probably a lot of hours into ? You know, I've had two times when I thought I would stop playing DCS forever, the first time was when I got into X-Plane 11, surely enough I got back to DCS, the second time was when MSFS came out and I very seriously said to myself: that's it, I'll never touch DCS again, might very well uninstall it. Funnily enough, a month after and I was already back to DCS. I've got the feeling that no matter how toxic the forums or ED's attitude might be, you'll be back on day.
  3. Well, helos are very hard at first and perhaps even more s the huey, even I who started with arguably the simplest helo to fly in DCS: the ka50, had an extremely hard time to the point where I almost dropped trying to fly it, but now, I must say that all the helos and especially the huey are my favorite aircraft to fly in DCS. By the way I use the z axis on my t1600m joystick for rudder and I've got no VR or track IR, haven't fiddled with any curves too. Like Quadg said above me, it's muscle memory, flying the huey is something certainly very attainable and enjoyable without rudder pedals and I'm pretty sure there's nothing to worry if it seems impossible at first. Sorry if I can't give any pointers, it just comes naturally over time, at least for me...
  4. Yep, I know I've not got a very powerful pc by today's standards (i7-6700k, 16bg ram, gtx970) and I know the syria map is pretty beautiful but this map is absolutely unplayable for me with all the stutters while the persian gulf runs flawlessly. It's really not an fps issue I think, just the stutters...
  5. A helo would be very nice, so I'd love to have the sh60. For naval aircraft while any new addition would be nice (f4), I personally would prefer having resources set on developing other aircraft because, as you said, we already have a pretty good size of naval assets. This is just my personal opinion of course.
  6. Nice little bit of info, in any way, A.I. messing up sure is infuriating, at least I finished the mission normally
  7. your hopes and wishes have been granted, pretty sure it was my fault, though I restarted the mission a third time because the second time he wouldn't give me authorization to attack even though I was well aligned. Still I wonder, the JTAC is coming under fire and there's that long ass speech between me and him ? If you say it's like in real life I believe you, but does he really say "cleared hot on target" before giving me the pass bearing ? Seems weird (to me at least) because in that delay, attacking the snipers will totally ruin my wingman's AI it seems.
  8. edit: played the mission again, this time the attack cone callout thing doesn't work at all when attacking the outpost, I position myself from the east like I did the last time I tried this mission but the guy keeps telling me to abort.
  9. Venom tells me he is pinned by sniper fire and so we are cleared hot with 20 mike mike, okay, I shoot down the snippers on the silo (I was basically already over the targets so I engaged really quick). And then after engaging the snipers, there's that message telling me to hit spacebar when in the target cone (I already killed the snipers and venom told us before that we were cleared hot so I don't see why there's even that message). In any way, I don't know if it's related to this occurence or not but in the next scene, when the apc shows up, I tell my wingman to engage with the f10 command, but he just f...ing leaves the zone and I'm stranded here with no weapons to do anything.
  10. I don't know about VR but it's one of the most complete modules in DCS, much more complete than the f16, I think it's more complete than the fa18 too (perhaps ???). Not a very hard plane to use as the systems are not that complicated, on the same level as the fa18 in my opinion. Very capable plane too. Great all around module, you can't really be dissapointed with it, in the end it depends on if you are interested in the plane itself or not to consider buying it.
  11. My dream would be to have the arma 3 eden editor in DCS, but more realisticaly having a 3d editor is one of my most wanted features at the moment.
  12. Bonjour, so you mean to say that the stable version is having bugs? Could you perhaps cite some of the biggest issues you're having?
  13. I can give you some tips that helped me a lot, firstly lock the refueling plane on your radar, you'll get a cue that will tell you your relative speed with the tanker, it's useful when approaching it. And secondly, put on altitude autopilot, it "dampens" your movement I feel like. Try this out, really makes refueling a whole lot easier in my opinion even though that's not the right way to do it.
  14. Ahh yes, I'm not the only one who though this was missing
  15. Usually updates come in the afternoon in my time zone (European time), so it would be 4~5 hours from now I guess?
  16. I'd say, either the ka50 or the huey. The ka50 is wieird at first but once you learn how the autopilot works, the power this helo haves and the maneuverability is awesome. The huey is feeling more "manual" but it's all around a great helo to fly, a bit of training and the helo behaves exactly like you want, you can land it anywhere and hover very easily. The mi8 is very nice to fly but I haven't mastered the landings who are so hard because of the vrs in my opinion. The gazelle just feels like flying an Arma helo.
  17. It would be really really nice, I'd also add that a full fidelity mig29g would be very welcome to complete my personal experience of this theater I'd so much want to see replicated.
  18. Yes, thanks for taking the time to write this message, the problem really shows when we compare different modules and their product pages, the fact that the harrier came out of early access with this product page is quite a big issue (and for the price of the module I'd expect to go much more in depth in all the pages of the mfd's just like the a10c does, if it wouldn't be out of early access I wouldn't mind, for the moment at least). Yeah, comparatively in DCS, the harrier isn't what I would call feature complete.
  19. what lol, I am just saying that paying 70 for a digital thing is a lot for me right now and I don't want to waste it on some bad module, interesting stats though... P.S I do not make the amount you said
  20. No. To be honest, 70$ may be a lot for some people, it is for me at least... So I get why people would react the way they do and I won't dare say they should chill.
  21. Haha, this feels like a joke from razbam, I know razbam employees have got ED accounts so why can no one from them answer ? I still repect big NEWY for being on this thread but come on, it just feels a bit ridiculous. Anyway while this doesn't relate dirrectly to the question of the harrier being feature complete or not, the fact that it has gone out of early access should still signify that bugs that were reported 100 or more days ago (which they are a lot of) should be fixed and acknoledged in the most part. Here's the stuff: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=269108 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gYpmYD4VVaTn1YkHd_K7CJxOysoOqdN-K5oZs_anX7c/edit#gid=24479841
  22. That's indeed the issue, I don't know the fw190 module but I do know that in no way does the harrier qualify as being out of early access, it says on the product page that the harrier is a "study level" simulation, if someone is seeing it's out of early access and seeing what's written on the product page, anybody seeing this without knowing too much will suppose that the harrier is in a fully complete state, unlike what it is at the moment
  23. For some reason I can do it really well in basket type aircraft: jf17, m2000c and especially the f/a-18 because I use the basket as a reference point (which probably isn't the right thing to do but it works well for me). I haven't yet mastered the f14 and harrier though. On the other hand I literally can't fly formation well enough to get refueled by the boom on the f16c or f15c, I'm pretty sure it's because I personally can't find an easy enough thing to follow on the belly of the aircraft to keep stable. I haven't yet tried to do it with the a10c though, might want to do that one day... Yeah, I play 100% SP and I clearly haven't trained enough in anything related to formation flying, that's why I'm bad in those boom planes
  24. Looks like a very cool project and looks very good too, it also gives me some ideas so thanks for sharing your build.
  25. Awesome thought, would love to have this
