Quick, someone Photoshop in an A-10 Litening screen into a Hornet MFD!

ED would be able to see single player by those who authenticated via Steam / ED system - number of folks playing online. Not sure if they care to share such information though.

Alright folks, this might seem pretty silly, but I think could be very cool. The cockpit textures have gotten to a photorealistic point which is incredible. The artists have done a great job weathering the pits. The thing is, every persons Tomcat has the exact same wear and tear! I'd want my pit to be personalized more. Perhaps start out with a brand new factory fresh jet, and then slowly wear the controls that the person has used most. Every pit would be slightly different, and you could visibly see flight hours and types of missions most flown based on how worn it was.

Step in the right direction at least. All this is going to have to be worked out for a dynamic campaign to be functional.

I think you should have the option, and those who wait for the full eight minutes should get rewarded with DCS bucks for new skins.

What an awesome idea. One day when I retire and get a soundproofed room so the wife and kids aren't bothered, I'm going to make a super VR pit with this type of sound setup.

In other words, if you buy from Steam they have a program where you can transfer the purchase to ED's own service. This gives you their own download manager (which is excellent) and you will get faster patches. The only reason I could see doing that is if you had some Steam credit you wanted to spend. In all other cases better to buy directly from ED.

Don't be scared off of the Normandy map. It's great! Take a look at some of the screens around. Sure, it doesn't perform as well as other maps, but it certainly manages completely playable frames with a moderate graphics card. Definitely good stuff and well worth the investment.

Is there anything specific to the Hornet? The post you linked has over 100 pages and is general to all DCS.

Download the Open Beta and play that? Don't understand the issue here.

Something I learned today that's very cool. With opentrack software (free) you can turn your oculus into a headtracking device. When I'm building missions, I just prop it on my head like a hat (quite comfortable) and get head tracking. When I wanna be fully immersed, on it goes. So glad I discovered that because it is a pain to fly without head-tracking and a pain to build missions while in VR, so I was struggling with the hat ala original poster.

Make it solid for single player first. Most passionate and vocal players are multi-player, but develop by the numbers, rather than who squawks loudest. Management 101.

If you have a lousy 2019, please don't let it be because of a desktop entertainment product. You didn't think the movie was good? Maybe you didn't like the song...

Wonder if there is a way to script it. We have "Fire at Point"... wonder if we could force it that way. Gonna take a crack at it. Too cool if it works...
