I use Virpil CM3 Throttle (set up to work as throttle and as collective both - the CM3 is great kit) plus VKB Gunfighter Pro stick. No VR. Plus mouse clickable cockpit controls work for me. So this works OK for me. Given the limitations of the module I have zero inclination to do more.

I thought it was me. Despite so many folk saying its Early Access (get over it), just "practice and git gud", its the best helicopter to fly that ED has ever produced, the FM is .... blah blah blah... I have decided its not. Its just not. And it turns out DCS has 11 out of 39 aircraft in early access... dating as far back as 2017. So the "its early access what did you expect" put down doesn't resonate.

As someone who doesn't have helicopter experience, what makes it difficult to fly is that when something goes wrong for me I do not know if is because I am a bit hopeless, or if its a bug.

I don't get it in single player. I have not tried multiplayer. Have you tried different MP servers? Are you able to read the Mav87th trackfile ? (for some reason I couldn't as I previously mentioned)

Given you have repaired DCS and updated the GPU drivers to the latest, I agree its worth the annoyance of removing the mods again and try the instant action hot start - just incase its a problem with the mission, mission map, or mod. If that doesn't sort it then I would put in a ticket to DCS. They will want a DxDiag file and other logs - its all described here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/support_ticket/ Apologies for stating what you probably already know, but just in case. I doubt it is the Apache module because surely there would be lots of folk complaining of the massive drop in frame rates. (For what its worth my own FPS works fine and I was unable to replicate the problem) I am sure DCS have capable folk more able to read the log file and point out the problem. Would be interested in hearing what it turns out to be.

Just a few thoughts after looking at the log Have you got any mods loaded? If so maybe try un-installing the mods just to see a few "No suitable driver found" errors... so maybe update your GPU driver. Try uninstalling / reinstalling the Syria Map (from log No suitable driver found to mount mods/terrains/syria/assets/assetstextures) Try doing a DCS repair https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/ See if the problem occurs in a simple instant action hot start like Caucasus map AH 64D Runway Start

I downloaded your track file. Wanted to see what your seeing. I placed it in saved games/dcs.openbeta/tracks. But selecting replay in DCS, the file does not show in the mytracks list (all other files in that folder show OK - I even went and renamed one of my .trk files to make sure I was not in the wrong folder). Track files I have downloaded from the DCS forum before show up and replay ok.
