May we please have an update on the Eurofighter?
RustBelt replied to RaceFuel85's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
I want to know too, because the sooner the Eurofighter gets done, the sooner the A-6 gets going. But heatblur is in Europe, so my guess is no news until the summer breaks are over. -
The lord knows what he did to deserve that.

Showing once more just how much like pinball and arcade cabinets this equipment was at the time.

something changed with force feedback for F-14
RustBelt replied to Jeeve79's topic in Bugs and Problems
And with now 3 new FFB sticks on the near horizon, it’s going to be a bigger issue very soon. -
I have completely removed the grip and replaced it with a Thrustmaster grip interface.

Please don't let Iceman touch the throttle.
RustBelt replied to RPY Variable's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
You can run most of the back from the front with a DCSBios interface like DCSFlightpanels, or MATRIC or Helios. realism is cute, but it IS a game. Play how you like. -
AIM-54 vs AIM-120 for Bringing Down Bombers in DCS
RustBelt replied to Horns's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I’ve hit mig 31’s and seen them fly back to base with one wing missing and on fire. Realism is approximate in DCS. -
Not without a Windows 95 system and the old software, and even then, probably not too well. They’re old and just not meant to have been run this long.
-
That’s unusual, sounds like something might be conflicting with it. I’m still running a Sidewinder 2 while I build my VP force rig and no issues like that. Turn off USB power saving? Windows may be trying to be “helpful”
-
Yea that’s a serious overload of USB. You must be running into tier limits.
-
In a way it makes sense, as the STT is a “different” track than the TWS track you pointed at, but it seems like it should be correlated and removed since you’re NOT in TWS anymore so all the tracks but your lock should drop.
-
Sounds like you had a “virtual” button assigned to an axis in your HOTAS software or something.

Jester 2.0 (and other new stuff added with F-4 module) when?
RustBelt replied to sBinn64's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Jester is a creative back seat control interface, it’s not a full AI crew member. -
For Troubleshooting purposes I don’t think it matters if the visuals of the track match. It should still be recording the states?
-
And that’s been that way for most if not the whole life of the Tomcat. There’s too much behind the screen going on for the primitive track system to keep up.
-
Open the windows Joystick manager (search "Joystick" in the start bar.) and see if it's firing off any buttons it shouldn't be when you move it around in the test window.
-
Yes, this has always been the case. Best practice is use a multiplayer server and use the Server's track file. Track Files are problem solving tools, not video makers, so that they still work at all is amazing really.
-
Don't be disgusting Non FFB user.
-
Did you verify that your Throttle doesn't have a fault? You may have a short activating the "switch".
-
https://github.com/Quaggles/dcs-input-command-injector Be the change you want to see in the Tomcat

F-14 A/B feature follow-up, wish list and beyond
RustBelt replied to scommander2's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Get Heatblur the data and SME’s legally and it can be all yours. Also give me a copy of that sweet -1A If you got it! -
Wait, the 35 is the 35 because some stuffed suit mumbledumped the wrong number?
-
Get them legal copies of the documents and SME’s who can “officially” advise about it. They aren’t holding it off because they like making people squirm. btw if you have a NAVAIR-F14AAP-1A (or even -F14AAA-1A) how bout a little sugar for the rest of us?
-
Need a briefing on the status of things re the F-14
RustBelt replied to Redwing_204's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
You want to ask ED not Heatblur. Missile in the air is their domain, not HB. Good Luck at that BTW. -
Seriously, it’s embarrassing that an aviation game won’t use a universal aviation convention. Especially something as simple as a reciprocal.
