  1. So I setup a simple mission with a fligh of 2 F-16s equipped with LGBs. Their task was to attack 4 map objects close to each other. What happens is that the lead AI engages each target successfully (albeit very slow and inefficient) but does not instruct its wingman to attack any of the target. As a consequence, the whole engagement takes a very long time, is very inefficient and leaves the wingman of the flight just tagging along, enjoying the view. Please add logic for the AI wingman to effectively share the workload and do what's expected of them. Let me know if you need a track file, but it's an easy setup in the editor.
  2. That's strange!! How come my setup yesterday didn't fly at all good? Last patches was great but now it felt sluggish. Wonder if my throttle max was changed? Old missions not compatible? You see no difference what so ever?
  3. So after latest patch, I notice HUGE decrease in energy retention where I'm not able at all to sustain any high levels of G without my airspeed dropping off very rapidly. This is with almost no fuel and no weapons, just some empy AA pylons. I also notice a slower acceleration rate and sometimes it's not even picking up speed under small G load when diving! Compare this to the Hornet where I was able to sustain 9.4 G around 540 knots for over 20 seconds. I think the last patch broke something. My friend at a coop session yesterday stalled and crashed, that never happened before. Anyone else thinking that a Viper should be this horrible to fly?

  5. Would be very nice to have a report from the dev teams about the current status of ongoing work. I think dcs customers would greatly benefit from development updates and progress updates instead of getting the same answer when asking what the status is.
  6. The volume of this seems to change with builds. Wish it was louder.
  7. Latest build I have cloud degradation, turning into thin blurry lines at the horizon. Looks very bad.
  8. Reload the mission, this bug happens from time to time.
  9. Performance is good but I have quite a few ugly cloud, shadow and shallow water artifacts I didn't have before.
  10. @Surrexen Just want to make a shout out and applause for these missions. They are great and really provide us with so mja great flights. Love the addition of the custom sounds! Many thanks and please keep it up.
  11. Simba, yes is have it all defined in the mission editor as it should. No ROE limitations. I've been doing missions for many years but this time it just fails. I even have problems with a trivial thing such as bomb in zone triggering.. Can't understand what's wrong. Seems like the last patch made my ME no longer work.
  12. The same still happens i my mission. They are doing nothing.
  13. I have a similar issue with a new mission I made. I have ground targets defined plus a Sam close by. When approaching the ao I tell my wingman to engage air defenses. They acknowledged but fly straight and level and slow right at it, getting shot down. If I take out the sam and ask them to do their ground attack on the defined mission, they just slowly circle in the area like they are bugged out. Mission waypoint is properly setup with targets and they have a load out suitable for the mission. They refuse to do anything.
  14. I just want the ai behavior to be automatic. Us mission designers shouldn't have to tell the ai what to do. If given an order the should act confidently and correctly, adjusting their action based on external factors. Sorry for sounding grumpy I'll reply later with the track!
  15. Why do we still in 2022 have to specify each individual behavior of the "AI" for each mission we create? It's just tedious and really easy to forget something. It feels like the opposite of an AI. It's more like manually having to force feed it a decision for each and every event it might run in to. It's so far away from my expectation of a game AI. Can we just have an AI that behaves as an AI: accepting orders, using sound tactics, flying and fighting as expected, going defensive and offensive when expected and following the flight lead (or performing flight lead), all of this without having to detail what it should do and when...
  16. I reported this issue last year and it was acknowledged but not sure if anyone bothered to fix it yet. I used static planes on the ground and they were just impossible to destroy. Switched to AI planes and at least they are possible to destroy.

So after by the book mission editing to get the AI attack a ground target with JDAMS I give the order once we get close "Engage Mission and Rejoin" via the correct coms menu, AI acknowledge.. but does nothing. They fly slow and straight, does not engage, does not evade enemy fire or incoming sams and just gets shot down. Reflown the mission many times and the AI is just passive. What is wrong? If I say engange air defences, they acknowledge but just gets shot down, no harms fired. If I say engage "mission and rejoin" they fly slow and straight and get shot down, not even trying to engage mission ground targets. I have a track if that's useful but I've seen this behavior from the AI so many times.
  18. I don't know, I'm eager to use IADS scripts or have ED add it as a base function.
  19. It's the same with AI Su27/MIG29 in BFM, sometimes they get even more super powers and glimb above 50K feet.
  20. Maybe it's only me but can you guys force the Viper into a spin? I've tried my best but it's the kindest plane I ever flown. Stall is so nice and easy, just nose down a little.
