Here is Gonky (who was RL F/A-18 pilot) doing some carrier landings. That might not answer your question exactly, but what/how he is doing shows that he might miss to feel the aircraft but he never complains about Hornet beeing too stable. In fact how he does those patterns and approaches visualy shows how close DCS is to the real thing imho. But I also would appreciate every opninion of real pilots on this topic. edit: there a more of those videos in Mover's YT channel (called "C.W. Lemoine", former F-16 driver and DCS fan, if I may say so!?). Mover & Gonky are talking a lot about what's close and what's not so close to reality in their opinion with DCS. They had a lot of fun too.

Is "ke" kinetic energy? If so, isn't ke = 0.5mv^2 ?

I use a 4 port USB hub for my HOTAS, and 2 extra Keyboards. Works fine for things that don't need extra power. There are powered hubs for those too. Edit: Just search for "USB hub" in stores.

Multiplayer stats included in Logbook
Tom Kazansky replied to skywalker22's topic in DCS Core Wish List
That's a tricky path to go. I've turned my back on many PvP games that have sophisticated anti cheat systems however it seems those are very appealing to the most annoying kind of hackers that seem to say: here I am in spite of your efforts! I understand why ED hasn't gone this road yet. -

Are you aware that the logbook is just an open editable file? Your idea would work if the servers held those logs and the clients didn't change their callsigns. -
How's the DCS ATC System coming along in Dev????
Tom Kazansky replied to Hawk_UK's topic in Chit-Chat
Agreed. But it almost scares me to imagine that this kind of dedication, passion and commitment should not be enough. I got your point though. -
New Computer time and I need help
Tom Kazansky replied to MarHar17's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
AMD's Zen 4 CPUs will be introduced in two days. nVidia's RTX 4090 is already produced and available in October. My advice if you want a rig that handles DCS "at the highest level": wait some weeks. -
How's the DCS ATC System coming along in Dev????

DCS is still very much alive because they have no competition at all.... makes it easy to stay alive don't you think when your product is basically the only modern product out there. To me that says it is not easy at all when no one but you provides such a product. Easy things don't come without competitors imho. -
This leads to a very interesting field of questions. Will there be a world for every (or some) times in history? WWII, Korea, Vietnam, cold war, post cold war...? And what about seasons? ...

This is what I do. All the way down. Looks pretty good, even in VR (G2, 100% SteamVR).
