  1. Unfortunately there isn't an official one AFAIK.
  2. The labels on the JHMCS are awesome, great detail!
  3. This should be it
  4. Exciting to see all the progress as of late and definitely +1 to adding this to the core game, the quality is easily on par with the other new AI assets.
  5. You will first need to install a plugin to be able to view the texture files, I'd recommend the Intel one since it is the most fastest to export and has better compression. https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin.html This video is pretty good overview and goes over the general stuff you need to know when making any skin. One thing that I've found helpful is to work as much as possible with vector objects rather than just raster layers. It's a lot better to work non-destructively and once you get the hang of them you can iterate on your designs much faster and easily adjust things like color and shape. The best fonts for the lettering most commonly found on the Hornet are Longbeach USN and AmarilloUSAF. You can buy them from their creator here, but they are a bit pricey and there exist a number of almost identical free alternatives. https://www.tlai.com/med_des/lbusn.html
  6. AFAIK there is no direct HUD symbology for the where TGP is looking, it only shows the target you have designated.
  7. Too inaccurate to be acceptable for JDAM targeting, as per official docs.
  8. IMO it shouldn't be up to the community to have to piece together evidence to figure out which pod we're working with. ED obviously knows what documents they're working on, this entire thread could have been avoided if they had said from the get go that the stopgap pod would be a Spanish Litening rather than letting people assume they were aiming to simulate an American one. Unless I missed somewhere where they've stated this before now.
  9. I wonder what the long term plan is for the Litening given that we won't be getting an accurate USMC version. Will it be removed once we get ATFLIR and we will have a 'pure' Navy Hornet? I don't think it is a good precedent to start including features from other countries for whatever reason, otherwise people will begin asking for Sniper, ASRAAM, ILS, etc again.
  10. It's too bad we won't be able to simulate Marine Corps hornets as well as we could have but I'm glad we got the Litening at all. One thing that stood out to me in the Bats cruise video was that the laser mav page (at least I think that's what it is) has big bold numbers showing the laser code, which AFAIK we don't have in game yet.
  11. FLIR is there as a placeholder for the AZ/EL page (from which it will also be accessible), which should come up on the left DDI when you enter A/A mode.
  12. It is included with the module, just check the missions tab
  13. This should make it a bit easier. You'll still need to fine tune your logo placement but hopefully it'll be easier to figure out which part of the texture is what. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mL1lLF53FoM_qgIYtNEYJ3K2CqogOUB5/view?usp=sharing
  14. Not sure that I know where those spots are, but try overlaying a numbered grid to help you figure out where it is on the texture.
  15. I've got that same video bookmarked lol, glad you got it working
  16. Do the texture names correspond with the appropriate lines in the description file?
  17. Not sure exactly what you're describing, can you share a screenshot?
  18. Glad it worked out
  19. Not that I know of, I've run into the same issue but maybe ED will oblige if enough people are interested.
  20. I know that they were at least used by 2 seat squadrons doing exactly what you describe. It's been brought up before, so hopefully we will see them at some point down the line.
  21. Great work, I agree the last image is pretty indistinguishable from an actual photo. I can't tell from any of the pictures, have you also gotten rid of the pylon shadows that are present when you have a clean wing?
  22. Not my intention to stop people editing the files at all, I just exported the textures using the Intel texture works plugin which you can download here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin If you're using the NVIDIA dds plugin it will not be able to view these files, I would highly recommend switching to the Intel one since it exports so much more quickly, and also has a lot better quality IMO.
  23. Orange style ACMI pod as seen on many test and adversary aircraft.
  24. Already exists  https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301988/
  25. +1, the more training tools we have the better.
