The Harrier was my first module purchase after FC3. I have since acquired nearly every jet aircraft except for the two trainers, F-14, JF-17, A-10C. The Harrier in my opinion is more enjoyable for me. The F-16 and F-18 will fly themselves practically. There is a sense of satisfaction when you learn to be effective in the Harrier. Of course, this is just my opinion. Get the trial and see if you like it. Then let us know.

Many people attend Air Force Initial Flight Training (IPT) but don't go to Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT). It doesn't make them a pilot in the Air Force.
-
He may know how to pilot an aircraft, but he's not doing it for the Air Force. He is not a winged pilot. Pilot badge on top. Combat Systems Officer (WSO) on the bottom.
-
The WSO is a Combat Systems Officer. They are not pilots. They have a different badge. They go to different schools.

I want to thank AeriaGloria for helping me to understand the changes by putting them in context. My setup WinWing Orion F/A-18 stick and throttle Thrustmaster TFRP rudder. Special Options are set as follows. Stick Trimmer Mode: Instant Trim Pedals Trimmer Mode: Instant Trim Pedals Microswitch Logic: Automatic Off Pedals: Do not Trim Yaw channel is on. I bound the microswitch "Y" to a HOTAS button. Flying the Mi-24 is so much easier now that I understand what everything is doing and how they interact with each other with regards to the AP channels. Again, thank you.

So what if it does? I don't care if it changes every patch if it makes it better and more realistic.

One can only assume that politics played a role.
-
This is true for every aircraft.

I don't think so. I haven't noticed a difference in the Shkval display. I do have to adjust the contrast and the brightness of the Shkval to get a better picture.

Are you using your MK1 Eyeball to aim or are you using the radar and uncaged sight?
-
That's code for, "Damn, we should have thought of that."

Best way to quickly descend from high altitude
Krez replied to Chad Vader's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I have been flying he KA-50 for a few years now and I have never gotten into VRS. Out of all of the helicopters, the KA-50 I think is the most forgiving when it comes to VRS. The Hind on the other hand is another story. -
Correct, but the flip side of that is the funds allocated for CAS must be spent on the CAS mission, otherwise they could lose it to another branch.

Open Beta 2.7.12.23362 - Controller settings completely destroyed?
Krez replied to Eisprinzessin's topic in MiG-19 Farmer B
Link worked fine. Fix worked fine. Didn't have to remap any controls. -
That made me smile, too.

Brilliant. Thank you. I didn't that have that specific MOD but I had another that was outdated. I am now using the one you linked to.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the MACH indicator shows MACH 8.5 when I'm gojng MACH 1.5.
-
I see this occasionally when I miss something in the startup.
-
Make no mistake that once the Berlin wall fell and the "West" got their hands on a few Hinds in the 1990's, everything discussed here was tested. If that information is available is another story.

Everything I've read says the Marines never used the AGM-65F. You have secondary sources that have quotes from a pilot which states they did, which is ironic since the only sources for the 109 K4 carrying gun pods are secondary sources that have quotes from pilots. I think people are just wanting some consistency.
-
You'd be surprised how many people playing DCS, buying modules, and getting others to play the game are doing so because they saw a GR video on YouTube.
-
It wouldn't in the slightest.
-
All we have are historians who state the K4 could equip and did equip the gun pods. I'm tempted to purchase those books to see what sources they are using.
-
The AV-8B we have in DCS can carry and fire IR Mavs just because it could theoretically do it. No Marine squadron ever used the IR Mav. Given this precedent, there should be no issues giving the K4 wing mounted cannons .

Adjust your curves. I used 30 when I had a twist stick. I set my trim to 1 for takeoff. I would go full right rudder and ease off as I gained speed and rudder authority. I would only use toe brakes if they were bound to an axis. Stick full back and a little right. Once you gain rudder authority, stay off of the breaks and ease off of the stick to neutral. Use peripheral vision to try to maintain a straight line. She will lift off without pulling back.
