  1. Yep, all planes are affected by this one way or another. Seems ED are messing with the lighting snd alpha textures without telling anyone or even testing it.
  2. Yep, the lighting is seriously messed up in this update. How did no one test this prior to pushing this? It literally took everyone 5 minutes to notice.
  3. Surprised this has gotten worse rather than better. The new lighting is a total mess during daylight, what it really is is just a HDR filter.
  4. Viggen was the only I noticed obvious issues on so far.
  5. As of this update there is no noticeable instrument (integ) lighting anymore and the instruments have this blue-ish tint to them when reflecting sunlight.
  6. Since the AMRAAM and AIM-7 now got a rework, can we expect the same for the R-27 family?

A really positive change in the dev. cycle and certainly a list that makes sense and will suffice if it can be "pulled off" by the end of this year. 2021 now seems to have a lot less-essential items and probably bug fixes to existing weapon systems, which will always be a thing regardless, given the dynamic and ever changing nature of DCS.
  8. More functions since a LOT are currently missing. Basically similar to the Viper where you rarely need to touch the DDI OSB's to manipulate screens and change between modes.

  11. With the current G-model sadly yes. If you turn off the G-effects then you can really fly it properly all of a sudden. Probably more realistic doing so than keeping the current g-model on where your guy starts blacking out at sustained 8G's after like 2s.
  12. Yeah it's not the best and still very WIP. Damage model is WIP, the skinds are sort of all rushed and there is no varierty or attention to detail.

  15. Harpoons are useless in DCS. Two RB15F's from a Viggen can sink any carrier.
  16. Well, isn't this how it's supposed to be? You cant lock DL contacts if your ownship sensors don't see it.

  18. Thanks for being transparent. Gotta admit, I'm a little bit bummed about the Forrestal and the A-6 AI being pushed back even further but I do hope at least the Viggen will receive the last finishing touches in the near term future. As for the Tomcat, are all the previously mentioned items (in the Q1/Q1E dev. update) still planned near term? Namely proper AIM-54 guidence, the various small art corrections for the B etc? Keep plugging along! :thumbup:
  19. Pretty much just that. I've had some Viper drivers tell me 95% of the DCS Viper is either completely wrong or missing. Not to say you can't have fun with it in DCS, do basic air to air or air to ground. But you can't even sustain 9G's given the current state of DCS g-load simulation....
  20. That is good to hear that you'll keep working on the 21 in the years to come. However my concern was mainly for other upcoming modules like the F4U and F-8J, which a lot of people are very excited for and would like to have in their sims in the not too distant future. Especially the F-8J is an excellent rival for the 21bis.
  21. Look on the product page. Short answer is - it's not very far along, 80% of stuff is missing and development is going to be slow due to the focus on the Hornet. If you only want to do air to air in a PvP environment the Viper is fairly decent and complete for that role, anything else I'd say you stay away from it.
  22. +1 As far as I'm concerned the 77 (RVV-AE) already performs pretty closely to the real life values, although a new CFD rework/treatment surely wouldn't be too bad. As for the R-27 family, a CFD rework and proper PN guidence (akind of Deka's work on the SD-10/PL-12) would be very welcome and at least give you a little bit more range and less "yeet-guidence" we are seing currently. Not that the AMRAAm is currently in a better state with the constant, never ending work going on.

  24. I think the guy in the video simply used the "reduced" g-load option in the game options. Th regular "realisitc" one is still the same as before. At least in my experience. Otherwise people wouldn't complain anymore.
  25. So are you gonna rework the textures and model from scratch? Seems like a lot of work...
