Connecting Ground Power will not turn over engine with drained battery
-0303- replied to -0303-'s topic in Bugs and Problems
a) Again, because the known bug (ground power) already explains the behavior. b) And ... it makes no sense "repairing" each part separately. They'll just spawn a new aircraft (keeping fuel levels *1). Did an experiment, the P-51 does not recharge/replace battery on repair. -I damaged the P-51 a little (swinging ass into a jeep) -shut off engine and drained it's battery -repaired -P-51 battery was dead before repair and remained dead after repair (but startable with ground power) Assuming the Spitfire works the same, does not recharge/replace battery over repair, a drained battery would make it unstartable (and ground power is bugged). *1) "Interesting" difference between Spitfire and P-51 repair. The P-51 returns to ambient oil and coolant temps after repair. The Spitfire retains oil and coolant temps over repair. This thread is 10 times longer than it needs to be. But I'm sure BIGNEWY loves sifting through long threads in bug reporting:cry: Again, reference to my post where I presented the ground power bug as simple as I could.- 53 replies

Connecting Ground Power will not turn over engine with drained battery
-0303- replied to -0303-'s topic in Bugs and Problems
Because ground power not powering starter is a bug. Would there be two bugs? Less likely. I'm fishing for BIGNEWY input. I made the case as simple as I could, a page back.- 53 replies

Connecting Ground Power will not turn over engine with drained battery
-0303- replied to -0303-'s topic in Bugs and Problems
Made new track, simplest possible in a cleaned up pristine installation. Track demonstrates that ground power doesn't turn over engine starter. Track: -Spawn runway (game time 10:30:00) -shut off magnets -run starter until battery drained (game time 10:58:07) -Connect ground power. Note that starter doesn't turn engine over 28+ minutes total (obviously track can be fast-forwarded to say 10:58:00) Zipped attachment -logs folder -Spitfire battery2.miz -Spitfire battery2.trk I get that this isn't the highest priority bug but: a) It is annoying that the engine often can't be started after a repair (I believe it would be if ground power worked as advertised) b) It makes no sense that ground power doesn't turn engine over (unless it does, if so, I'd like to know why) Spitfire battery2.zip- 53 replies

[RESOLVED]Speed, Alt etc data not readable in F10 view
-0303- replied to -0303-'s topic in General Bugs
Simplest possible. 10 sec single player track AI TF-51D. Replayed track shows F10 view. Attached Zipped file contains: -logs folder -F10Data.miz -F10Data.trk -Screen_200224_163119.png Note, 1) same bug in multiplayer (see thread start). 2) Pristine install. Repair cleanup main folder & default Saved_Games. Ed/Add This is a twofer. AI warbird sputtering sounds bug? Can't find the thread (was 2.5.6). Bug (?) was: startup sputtering sounds b4 propeller moving but only when AI planes present (so no bug?). Anyway, AI TF-51D at speed this track should not give sputter sounds. It does. Ed/Add: Sputter thread pointed out. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=263470 F10Data.zip -
Neither in 1920x1080 or 1280x768 res. Not readable in 2.5.6. Was readable in 2.5.5.

Never seen borderless window ever (DCS 1 year) prior 2.5.6. I've lost 27% fps (weak system). Last patch, no difference.

(spawn TF-51D training solo takeoff, 1280x768, LOW) 2.5.5 22 fps 2.5.6 16 fps Lost 6 fps or 27% Yes, my system is a C-64, sue me.

Aerobatics server. Airspawned "race" Spitfire. Landed and shut off engine on a) Russian Carrier b) Batumi and finally at Kobuleti. No refueling, no rearming (drop tank). Interestingly they did not "copy", not acknowledging the request. Ground spawned Su-33 on Batumi and Spitfire at Senaki. They do "copy" and refuel. Got yelled at in Russian (Su-33) when moving before finished...

Example: 1280x768 selected resolution. Mouse acts normal within window. LAlt Return to full screen (which is 1920x1080 for specific monitor) Mouse jumps away on first 1 click. In practice, everything needs to be clicked twice. After first click it seem to have "learned" it's place.

[INVESTIGATING]2.5.6 Performance impact low FPS on Stennis
-0303- replied to Gripen 4-1's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Massive fps hit. Marginal system Still it was playable in 1920x1080. Now single digits as often as not. -
Massive fps hit on a marginal system. Rolling back to 2.5.5
-
Did a total wipe, scratch reinstall. On the upside: Seems it's not me. Not a bug. 286 players / 378 players. Really low numbers. I jumped into the only Open Beta double digit server and asked: Yes, everybody was using Open Beta. I wasn't / isn't stuck in Release. Guessing the 800 player on the web page counts both Release and Open Beta. Since Steam is rolled back to 2.5.5, guessing that's where the 800 (500) number comes from. Was also told a number of servers hasn't updated yet.

I'm seeing a weird low amount of player/servers 260/355 and also three of my favorite servers are missing including "Aerobatics Online Caucasus OpenBeta" and "Hoggit - Training Server" At the same time DCS webpage https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/server/#allservers says 481 servers / 845 players and both hoggit and aerobatics servers are up. It is as if I'm not seeing Open Beta servers come to think of it. My "autoupdate.cfg"says:
