I love the MiG-29. I own most of the modules for this sim. And I must say that the FC3 planes were done well for their time. But we really do need a full-on Mig-29, Su-25 (UTG?????) and Su-27 series. I find myself now flying the Su-25 and MiG-29 more often than not. Sometimes I think the so-called "full fidelity" models are more hype than substance, clickable cockpit or not.

That's a great idea. I will implement that for my server as soon as it's possible. In the meantime, I will be making video briefings for my missions as soon as 2.7 comes out.

Fred...I disagree. You always need to set the course on the HSI. However, you may be technically correct on the CDI. I don't work on them. I just used them in the air.

Please make server-browser remember last sorting in a client config

seriously? -
The localizer is simply a VOR but with a little better accuracy. Tricks are used to make it not broadcast around a complete circle. Your HSI uses the signal from the localizer to show the difference between the radial you are on and the radial dialed in. It's that simple. So the dialed in radial is required. The GPS in your fishfinder works differently.

reported earlier Aim120c loses track for chaff on head on shot?
Zeagle replied to Rick1Penguin's topic in Weapon Bugs
Rolling the dice, as you put it, is just one of the tricks a programmer may use to simulate the percentage of losing lock. I am afraid a full simulation of radar and wave patterns is probably beyond any computer today. I don't know how they simulate this internally. But I am sure that ED does a good job at simulating it. Perhaps the locking of a target after penetrating the chaff cloud is just how the 120 would work. That's why Fox 3's are so dangerous. That's also why there are radio calls when one is fired and why you should know where all your people are. -
That is because you have not mapped them to the appropriate axis. In the sim hit ESC, then choose adjust controls. At the top of the Control Options window, select "Axis Commands". Then go in and set your axis for throttle(s). THIS WILL HAVE TO BE DONE ONCE FOR EACH AIRCRAFT YOU FLY.

I had an issue a while back where I added some B-1 Bones to the mission and they took everybody's framerate down. Been scared to use them ever since.

I thought that was the purpose of chaff -
There is more to flying than just hauling back on the stick. I find it flies in a very realistic manner.

1080ti still gets the job done. But, you need a good motherboard, memory, and SSD. Waiting on the 3080

ATACS - All Weather Training and Air Combat Server This server will host training and air combat scenarios based on realistic conditions. For those who would like to fly in a more real-world manner, this might be for you. 100% pure DCS. No external scripting or hacks. DCS voice.

Looking forward to it

F-14B Air to ground weapons not attached to pylons
Zeagle replied to Warmbrak's topic in Bugs and Problems
My answer to you is "so what". There is no requirement for operational status imposed by anybody (case in point...the chrome cat). Bombs on the F-14 without racks looks silly. Period. Either model the racks or delete the ability to load the bombs. Pretty simple. Absolutely none of the list of FACTS above, which I am sure are correct, have anything to do with it. And I don't think it would take a good 3d artist more than a few days to model the rack. -

near_blind...read your statement " the only reason we have it is because HB are nice people". We DON"T have it. That's the issue. AND...your "actually used" statement carries no weight at all when a cursory check of Google reveals that it was indeed used. And whoever said that an item had to be used a lot to be included? No one. So, I stand by my original statement. Seeing bombs floating underneath the F-14B, especially with such a nicely done module, is ridiculous. -

Seriously? It's like leaving off the gear struts. We need a rack. This is such a high quality bird. But I cannot understand why we don't have this basic component already.
