  1. I'm afraid, the issue (with the giant black boxes) is still there or back again. It occured during a custom F-16C caucasus mission in the dawn. I've tried to reproduce but had no success so far. Here are the key settings while the issue occured: DCS Version: current OB (2.7.10.19473) Mission date/time: 04th May 2016, 05:56:34 Clouds: Light Scattered 2 Plane: F-16C Viper Position: N 42"38'11 / E 041"55'52 Alt: 6046 ft Heading: 242 I'll hand a track in as soon as I'm able to reproduce. Edit: The issue looks similar to the already (10 month ago) reported one: https://youtu.be/k-VyM4tA-d0?t=21
  2. If you accidentally closed the debriefing without saving your track, you can always find an autosaved track of your last flight in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\LastMissionTrack.trk
  3. If we should answer your question "what did I do wrong?" you should provide at least any information about what you did at all. Most suitable for this purpose is to provide a short track file.
  4. Simply select *MAN*, then press M-SEL/0 to toggle between AUTO and MAN. The previous procedure by selecting SEQ while *STPT* was selected in the DED has been changed recently, so the most tutorials are outdated.
  5. Try this one: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/AH64D_flight_manual_en/ Thank you @Wags for pre-releasing the the QSM!
  6. Oh, thanks. I already have downloaded the mission by @GazAce and tried it shortly after release. I remember that I've been not successful due to tracking problems of the moving vehicles caused by the street lighting masts or alley trees and gave up afer a few tries. Maybe I'll try again in a few days.
  7. Can you provide a link to the mission, please? I'll give it a try, too.
  8. Try one of this mission editor JTAC setup tutorials: https://youtu.be/wfqdphGdADM https://youtu.be/Q7wiyXD4Sr4 BTW: This subforum is totally wrong for your request. This one would fit much better. But maybe a moderator will move the thread.
  9. @Wingnutt270 Did the command "Throttle (Left) - off/idle" work earlier in your hornet? Did you edit the correct profile ("F/A-18C Sim" or "F/A-18C Game")? Does it work if you use the default keyboard command (RAlt+Home)? I had similar problems (about two years ago). The HOTAS Warthog Throttle off/idle did work in the A-10C, but not in the F/A-18C. AFAIR this was the solution for my system - but be aware: if you use this script you have to remap all bindings for all your modules:
  10. Thanks for your kind words. I'm afraid I can't conclusively answer your question (I just created the tables based on the data provided by ED). AFAIK the search radars P-14 (?) and/or Tin Shield are only single parts of a SA-5 SAM system. But I'm sure, one of the experts here can answer your question
  11. The distance where you can pick up a laser designation with LSS is limited. You'll get best results below 12 NM, depending on altitude.
  12. I did two runs, each starting after the first GBU impact: I took control as soon as JTAC cleared hot. I lined up the FPM with the steering line, but missed the 2nd target; I took control right after the first impact, then I climbed up to > 10k, used LSS to locate the target, refined the TGP and did a point track (TMS FWD), lined the FPM up with steering line and managed to hit the 2nd target successful (see F-16C JTAC TEST 2nd Run worked.trk). Maybe the underlined, additional steps have been responsible for the successful GBU delivery.
  13. For DCS and a few terrains and planes you should calculate around 250 GB. To have sufficient reserves for future updates I recommend to get a 500 GB SSD. My DCS (open beta) installation needs currently 297 GB disk space (installed aircrafts, maps and tech watch my singature). Here's a list of the needed space by planes: A-10C: 1,44 GB A-10C II: 1,76 GB AH-64D*: 1,40 GB F-14A/B*: 3,83 GB F-16C*: 1,12 GB F/A-18C*: 893 MB FC3: 1,39 GB Ka-50: 998 MB P-51D: 596 MB UH-1H: 630 MB * Early Access (required disk space is growing with each update)
  14. I'm sure, that we can help you, if you provide a trackfile of your unsuccessful run.
  15. This isn't implemented in DCS yet, or I'm doin' something wrong (MAV SOI - uncage - nothing happens).
  16. I think you have to POWER OFF your MAV via SMS page, but I may be wrong. Changing to NAV mode or clicking the WPN OSB won't set the MAV into standby.
  17. I guess, you'll notice this when the created STPT is very far (> 50 NM) off the target area.
  18. Try this one: Don't forget: Coordinate conversion between MGRS and LAT/LNG is only available from STPT 21 to 25!
  19. Thank you for the update @Minsky! Can you provide the HAFU page as .PNG, please, or re-add it into your great kneeboard suite?
  20. We have to wait. Wags' tutorials have never ever been announced so far.
  21. Is there any way to make the TGP slewable or set him CZ for instance while staying in CCIP?
Kosten: null. Fazit: Thrustmaster-Support:
