The only way to get the MAF-F sensor slewed is to simultaneously hold down UNDESIGNATE and TDC depress. But it's still impossible to get a lock onto the T-55. As soon as you release UNDESIGNATE and TDC depress, the MAF-F re-locks to the oil rig. IMHO this is a bug and NOT as intended. FA-18C ATFLIR AGM-65F 05 slew but no lock.trk -

I've re-tried your track a few times and you're right. It's not possible to slew the MAV-F. To get a MAV-F-lock onto the T-55 instead the nearby oil rig it's sometimes necessary to (multiple) uncage and (re)cage, sometimes a simple SCS right (sensor priority to the ATFLIR) followed by SCS left (sensor priority back to the MAV-F) helped, but in some cases the hand-off worked instant. A few patches ago ED added some functions to the RECCE button (i. e. for the SA format as described by @Hulkbust44 above). Set sensor priority to the HUD or HMD to enable/disable HMD with the RECCE button.

As a workaround create a markpoint prior undesignate to re-focus quickly to the target location. But this doesn't make sense with moving targets, of course. -

I've tried the F/A-18C Hornet mission designed by @GazAce twice, but on both attempts I've ended up in a DCS freeze: Each freeze occured shortly after reaching WP1 (bulls) and adding WPs 3 to 5 by entering the MGRS. On the first try DCS freezed during entering MGRS for WP4 and on my second run it freezed at approach to WP5 (Scud launcher). Sound continued playin' (incl. radio @CH3), graphics freezed. Had to quit DCS via Taskmanager. Current OB installed (2.7.5.10869). Log files attached. Track unavailable, the auto saved last mission track (located at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\LastMissionTrack.trk) is sadly outdated. I never had any freezes before flying this mission. I'm not sure if the source of this issue is the Mission, the Hornet or the DCS core. dcs.logs.zip

Interesting... in my tests the suggested procedure deactivates the TOT indication in the HUD and removes the displayed calculated speed in the HSI format display. Current OB. Track: FA-18C TOT set-and-deactivate.trk

Simply set TGT via HSI/SEQUFC to any WP which is lower than your currently selected WP. Example: Currently selected WP = 3, disable TOT by setting TGT to WP 0, 1 or 2. But maybe there is another way to disable the TOT feature.

I was just thinking the same thing. The optional camo for the non moving vehicles would be great, but a huge challange to the developers.

I did five tries and noticed, that RDR ATTK was set to 5B and 20° most of the time after switching from GACQ to AIM-9, AIM-120 or AIM-7. But this settings weren't stuck - I was able to change the values by clicking the related PB. Don't know, if the setting 5B & 20° is correct behaviour after leaving GACQ. Yes, but not in a single step. First switch to A/G master mode and set TDC priority to your HMD, then view at the desired location and designate the point by TDC depress (this will be your further markpoint). At this point you can fine adjust the location with TDC slew. Finally you convert your assigned target into a mark point by pressing PB 9 on the HSI format display.
