  1. Hi all, That's exactly my experience as well... Even with reduced settings, can't get it work smoothly over lands. Every other map is butter smooth, so for me Marianas is unusable in VR so far.
  2. That's an amazing bank for the buck, IMO... But already sold out!
  3. Guys, you made my day!!!
  4. Indeed!!!
  5. Hi Patrey, Have you disabled the device hotplug in the options? It used to do some strange unwanted things to me too (like starting the APU while flying)...
  6. Hi, I've already seen that, but it's not consistent, seems to be related to a certain weather coverage and/or light conditions may be... I hadn't had the chance to dig into it, sorry. Most of the time, it's fine.
  7. Oh yes, you're right, thanks!! No need to manually put an entry in registry anymore...
  8. Hi all, I just "upgraded" to Win11 and didn't notice any impact on perfs (my rig specs are in my sig.) But pay attention, when switching to Win11, HAGS went active by default and I also had to disable again the virtual monitor pre-allocation (not sure if it is still needed though...)
  9. Is it useable with glasses, since my prescription is -2.25 and -2.75 ? Otherwise I guess it should look a bit blurry...
  10. Oh man, you're right!! I watched the HMCS video again, it's at 1:18!!
  11. Oooh, nice! Good find mate!
  12. Hi Darpa, I don't think you were lucky, Reverb G2 here and coming from RiftS. Oculus headsets are the best for sweet spot concern (except Pimax ones, but I've never tried...) particularly for fresnel lenses. The first time I put on the G2, I was a bit shocked by the smaller sweet spot. Now, I got used to it, it's not that terrible. But still, good sweet spot and controller tracking are the only two things I miss from the RiftS. The G2 is far superior in every other aspects.
  13. I would say, let's be patient and look at those pictures from the Marianas release video: As well as the introduction of F-16 Jdam by Wags: Seems like they're cooking some great improvements to water rendering with less reflections, more realistic. This shouldn't take too long since it already appears in their videos.
  14. By any chance are you using a mod? Some of them are designed to remove water transparency for improved perfs (mostly for VR)...
  15. Great new, thanks for that!!
  16. I'm with you on this, and mostly because I don't have a rig as beefy as yours!! But the point is: will it work in VR?? I searched for this on the net and never found any mention neither from AMD nor from other tech reviews that it will be implemented in VR... I just filled-in the AMD survey with only VR games (DCS at first place, of course!!), but at this point, I only have hopes rather than expectations...
  17. Thanks for the link @Anduriel! Very interresting.
  18. Well, it may be marketing BS, but if it's true then it's worth more than having a look on it!! I know ED's policy is not to be tied to a proprietary solutions (such as DLSS), but in this case, supporting AMD's FSR would be supporting open solutions that would benefit the entire community.
  19. Agreed. I used to have Lucshep's mod, which is now included as standard in DCS, and I was woried about the colors vibrancy of Barthek's one, but I have to admit it is top notch!! Whatever the season I use, I'm just blown away everytime I fly in Caucasus. Combined with the new clouds and Taz Better Trees mod, it's a whole new (and more beautiful) game!!
  20. Used to have the Logitech (Saitek) Flight Pro Rudder Pedals. Cheap (around 140€), but frankly not worth more. I don't recommend them. They're all plastic and feel accordingly, and one week ago, the USB PCB controller died after only 2 years and 4 mounths of use (what a coincidence....) I'm stuck on the ground until my new MFG Crosswind V3 arrives on wednesday
  21. Yeah I did! Thought it was only a personnal feeling... But it seems the surface texture at distance is much better, and not due to reflexions.
  22. My bad, you're right, haven't noticed it was for stable...
  23. Ohooo, new patch planned for tomorrow... What's gonna be in it? Bug fixes, or cloud edges shimmering fix for VR... May be (one can hope...)
  24. Done also, and I mentionned 2 other VR games to make sure they look into it. I don't remember if they stated that FSR would work natively in VR...
  25. Well, I don't know what to say, except that there's something I don't understand... After having lauched the same mission several times which was causing stutters (M2000-C FF in Caucasus), now it's back to butter smooth without any stutter. I didn't change anything... Tried also low flight above Las Vegas with light clouds, scattered and overcast, butter smooth (clouds always set to low, anything above that causes frame drops)... Only the usual stutters above Dubai and Syria as before. Is that possible that you need to load the same mission several times for the shaders to fully build? Overall I'm happy my perfs are back, but I'm unable to explain what happened and I don't like that... And now I have another problem to deal with, my Logitech (Saitek) rudder pedals in not recognized anymore by Windows. Seems to be a known problem, I tried other USB port and even on another laptop, same result. Guess it's a good pretext to go for the MFG Crosswind!!
