  1. I have not seen this issue, personally. I ran a 2-player coop mission on local LAN network with the latest build and everything worked beautifully. What server were you on? I can try to reproduce.
  2. LOL - I am not planning on using any asymmetric loadouts in the Harrier. Interesting though.
  3. Wing flex & leading edge vortices :worthy::worthy::worthy:
  4. Bingo! Always punch coordinates for your target, if available. Having direction helps you plan your approach and cover. Having range tells you if you will be able to fire from the hill in front of you, or if you'll have to pick another.
  5. That's interesting. How to you initiate a scan in 30x20 standby? I assume you can HUD scan on command if desired? Or do you have to select one of the other submodes (i.e. HUD scan, Bore, etc..) to initiate the scan? Is this possibly why I always loose lock when I switch from A-A to DGFT? Because the FCR stopped radiating in this standby mode?
  6. Great post Fri13. Very insightful. Thank you for typing all of that great info out. Since the Viper only has 4 programs, I sort of thought this is what the CMS channel switches were for IRL. You could turn off the chaff or flare channels if you didn't want to expend them via the program. Sometimes I turn channels off mid-program to conserve those countermeasures. Of course, this was an opinion I held before I read Fri13's post above. Now I'm not so sure that was the design intent at all.
  7. Sort of related... With the AIM-9 selected, is there a HOTAS control to switch between BORE and SLAVE modes?
  8. Thank you ED. Loving my early access Viper. You're obviously commited to her. I look forward to the journey as development continues.

  10. I thought the Huey did. I swear it chirped at me when I was overrunning the collective. I'm not that familiar with it though, or helicopters in general honestly. If it's really that common for helos to not have an audible for such a flight critical failure, that blows my mind. It's pretty much death every time in the Gazelle. Remind me when I get a real life Gazelle to solder a $1 buzzer in series with that red light circuit.
  11. As for sounds... I find it surprising there is no audible warning for running over torque limits. Don't most helicopters have an audible for this? Is the Gazelle different in that it actually doesn't? Not sure, but I know that I have broken many gearboxes because I didn't see the red warning light soon enough.
  12. Especially after the last few updates. It's a great little bomb truck. Fast and very capable with a laser pod. I love flying it low level penetration. Probably my favorite module.
  13. Holy smokes... some of the reaching to explain why DCS's radome is green is hilarious. Yes, DCS is modeling pollen discoloration, LOL! Go look at the photos in the first post again. It IS oddly green, I agree OP.
  14. Hello, sorry for the late reply to this thread. I have confirmed that this was the result of me not switching frequencies properly on SRS, and using the tips above I am able to transmit on UHF successfully now. Thank you for your help, and hopefully this thread serves as good documentation for anyone else having the same problem in the future. P.S. since I have the ear of Polychop, let me thank you for the wondeful module. I enjoy flying the Gazelle a lot!
  15. In the Gazelle, I can tune the UHF radio to the desired frequency and I can receive SRS radio traffic, but I cannot transmit on SRS. I have the UHF radio knob set to FF and I have depressed the UHF knob on the pilot and copilot intercom panels to select UHF for transmitting. UHF volume knobs are turned to maximum. Can you guys see anything I am missing, procedurally? I can receive but I cannot transmit. I only have this problem in the Gazelle, which I think rules out SRS problems.
  16. The best is when you are tracking a convoy on your targeting pod, and the civilian traffic drives right through them like they are ghosts. I generally keep it turned off. Stuff like that kills immersion more than it adds. At least for ground pounding / combined arms stuff.
  17. I know exactly what you're talking about. After you set the first point, avoid re-designating whenever possible and just slew the TPOD around to your next target. That's the easiest way to deal with this issue, I've found. Hope that helps.
  18. Thank you for your feedback guys. It's good to get confirmation. I will read up on the known bugs list.
  19. Exactly what I am seeing. I have been able to reproduce the case that this only happens to me when I load the simulation without pre-defined waypoints. If I load a mission file that comes with waypoints, I can slew to edit them just fine. Otherwise, I am seeing the zeros per above, and the airplane symbol slews instead of the map as I have outlined. You guys that are having more success... can you please try creating a mission with NO waypoints at all, then create a couple in the EHSD and see if you can edit them by slewing. FYI: since my last post, I have performed a repair but it did not fix my issue.

  21. Thanks for the video. From what I can tell, I am doing exactly the same thing you are, except I am getting a different result. You click DATA and then slew the map. I click DATA and the airplane symbol slews instead of the map. It IS updating waypoints, but the map is not moving when I slew (unlike for you). But I cannot see anything I'm doing differently. INS is aligned. I will report back after I complete the DCS Repair op.
  22. Yes - this. Thank you for latching on to what I'm describing. I dived into a lot of training before I posted here. In the video above, I made three waypoints in MP. Same occurs when I try in SP. The key thing is that the airplane symbol moves instead of the map. What sort of data mode would I have to be in for that to happen? Put another way, if I'm in the wrong mode, then what is the purpose of said mode that moves the A/C symbol instead of the map? I will try the repair and see if it changes the result.
  23. New video. Trying to follow exactly. See if you can see any mistakes. Sorry the video is so fuzzy on the map. Not sure why. Let me know if I should re-record. https://youtu.be/IHjZr6xoy88 EDIT: video updated for better clarity
