  1. Without money: no planes, that also means "no Hornet". Easy as that. Both birds will get TWS shortly. I don't get why the sequence in which they get is important. Yes, I also own the Hornet for a year now, no I'm fine with the development. @Nineline: thanks for being as transparent as you guys are in the last months. Please don't let the naysayers discourage you or the team - a lot of people get the necessities of business and software development, we're rooting for you.
  2. You should fly it again :) Pic as of latest Chuck's guide.
  3. Enemies are always diamonds with an extra caret on top and friendlies have FRIEND superimposed. Like, how can that be not easy to tell?
  4. I wonder how people will react once they find out that there's no easy friend-or-foe HUD indication like in the Hornet. :D
  5. Ah I see! Hope someone with a clue about compatibility can chime in on that. Good luck!
  6. At this point I have to wonder why you would want to use that old and deprecated software in the first place? Just get DCS World, it's free to begin with after all.
  7. Because more +1s make them respond faster? Okay!
  8. Like, do you guys think afer FIVE pages of +1 and confirmed that it does need more of that?
  9. Why is the UHF radio TX2 in the Viper anyway? Shouldn't it be the other way round?
  10. When it's done.
  11. Well yes, of course.
  12. No. The ENABLE press commands something else (namely weapon launch mode, mostly changeing SLAVE / BSITE). All target management in the Viper is performed through the TMS, or target management switch (d'oh). Generally TMS up locks something, TMS down undesignates.
  13. It's not yet implemented, it will work through the S-J button on the SMS page.
  14. They are indeed not, but from what I know the Navy never used them on centerline being deployed on a carrier, since it accumulates to much dirt and grime from the cat launch, which is why mostly the USMC used that during land-based sorties.
  15. Nope: when you create a mission, it is being saved as a .miz file. You can open that with an archiver like 7zip and add a kneeboard folder there.
  16. Nope, RADAR CURSOR / ENABLE commands slew. DMS commands SOI, among other things.
  17. Ah okay, thanks for clarifying that! So best practice would be: - select default preset - start VR off - set up Monitor settings - quit game and then - select default VR preset - start VR on - set up VR settings - quit game and then - select appropriate profile and start either VR on / off (I mean, I will send back my Rift S anyway because it sucks, but that's another matter) Still: thanks so much vor your good work, SkateZilla! :)
  18. I received my Rift S yesterday and will probably send it back. My 21:9 1440p monitor with Track IR is just miles ahead in terms of visual clarity. That just cant be trumped by VR yet, though it is really a bit of a "wow" moment when you first use it. That wears off pretty quickly, though (at least for me).
  19. So, as far as I understand it, the Updater Utility should switch between two different Options.lua files, when I start with or without VR. While the Utility DOES create the various Options.lua.backup, Options.lua.PRESET1 etc. files, it never updates them when I use one to start DCS with and edit settings, it always takes the basic Options.lua What am I doing wrong?
  20. If only this CRAZY thought would finally sink in with everyone.
  21. Actually, it sounds like it should save gfx settings over various presets, too. Will give it a few more tries later today! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053&page=40
  22. Neat, I'll give it a look! :)
  23. See, and I hoped Skatezillas Tool would do that. A pity. Thanks a lot anyway, though! :)
  24. And by "kids" he means MIDS LVT switch. Needs to be turned on on the Avionics Power Panel.
