[NO BUG] bru-41a now regarding mk82 hidden configuration.
Shimmergloom667 replied to Cassiop's topic in Wish List
If a legacy USN /USMC Hornet from around 2005, which is what we have ingame, didn't carry these, then it's 100% correct they are not in game. /thread -
There is no numeric counter anymore, only the low / out indication lights.
-
No, it isn't
-
Well, to be fair: Razbam has no say on when ED ports beta to stable.
-
Well, that's exactly what Ramsay just explained: it is in the middle of a major overhaul and needs some kinks ironed out.
-
We dont. There is no numerical count.
-
Chiming in with words of support here, too. The Hornet has gotten stuff in EVERY update, some minor, mostly major. It is clearly being communicated that work will continue with increased manpower in the coming weeks. You guys are doing great and I am happy to be part of your EA programs, seeing the modules mature whilst being able to take part in the process through bug reports. Please continue your good work!

The new cockpit video that Decoy put up yesterday.
-
You didn't watch the new cockpit video, did you? Once they are on the rack in the cockpit, left-click them to put them on your helmet. You can then LALT+HOME.

[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
Shimmergloom667 replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
Did you return to PCA authority? -
Dont have the translation at hand, either - but it's easy either way: only working modes are FF and G, where G is Guard :) Theres also some settings available with the lower, right button (like squelch etc)
-
The UHF didnt change, set the new radio to FF, then either punch in freq (5 digits) and then VAL to set freq, or click the top right button to set to preprogrammed channels and then turn knob to change channels.

Giving M2000C one more time. Epic FAIL.
Shimmergloom667 replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in M-2000
PEBCAK. I returned to the M2k for the new cockpit after months and started it up from memory. Walk us through what you are doing and we probably will be able to tell you what you did wrong. 1.: INS mode to ALN 2.: INS param to L/G 3.: Enter LAT from kneeboard (press 1 to select LAT window, press 2 for N (assuming Caucasus), enter coords, press INS) 4.: Enter LONG from kneeboard (press 3 to select LONG window, press 6 for E (assuming Caucasus), enter coords, press INS) 5.: INS param to ALT 6.: Enter Altitude from Kneeboard (should be correct already) 7.: Press VAL 8.: INS operation selector to STS to see alignment progress (left window shows stage and remaining seconds, right window shows absolute percentage remaining) 9.: on 0% remaining INS mode to NAV 10.: INS operation selector back to N Done, your INS is now aligned. On Engine: 1.: doublecheck if throttle is in cut-off 2.: IGN/VENT selector to G or D (IRL this is changed between both from start to start, iirc) 3.: Fuel shutoff open (right) 4.: L/R Fuel pumps to M (marche = on) 5.: Open ignition cover, this sets starter fuel pump to M (marche = on) 6.: Press ignition button for a second or two 7.: Engine begins spooling up, at ~10% RPM set throttle to idle 8.: At 60% RPM close ignition cover, turn off starter fuel pump Your engine is now running. -
[NO BUG] HSI not using waypoints in nav mode

That's right, but hardly correct in the F-18 subforum -
Have the Hornet devs moved back from the Viper?
Shimmergloom667 replied to Arctander's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I had the impression you thought my view on the matter as unconstructive. I may have been mistaken :D Also let's cut this short: while I dont see these kind if threads being helpful in any way, I also never hinted at limiting anyone's right to post exactly these kind of threads. We will still disagree on its effectiveness and if you see that as judging then I'm fine with that. -

Shimmergloom667 replied to Arctander's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Neither is it for you, then. We can agree on that. -

Shimmergloom667 replied to Arctander's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Nonsense. This is unhelpful, unconstructive flailing and doesn't help anyone one bit. -

Shimmergloom667 replied to Arctander's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
You know that on internet forums, usually not the whole client base is commenting, right? Also usually only a part of people with some sort of gripe tend to post this kind of posts, so it is skewed from the start. I, for one, am totally happy with how fast the F-18 is progressing and how the F-16 has been introduced. And I dont run to the forums every week just to post how pleased I am. And I know other players who feel similar. Neither you nor I know which group is a majority, or even how big each group is. People criticizing stuff tend to be more vocal about it, making that "negative" group seem bigger as it is. In the end the only sensible thing for ED is to do what they deem right. These threads here really fill no other purpose but venting, at this point, and are not helpful at all. -
You don't, it is not possible.
-
Honestly, some sort of acknowledging bugs would indeed be highly appreciated. The limbo of not knowing if something is being worked on or even a bug or not is worse than waiting a bit longer for its resolution, IMHO.

[CAN NOT REPRODUCE]Autostart Option?
Shimmergloom667 replied to surfcandy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
While I have never used autostart and couldn't comment on if it has any problems: go start with the manual startup. It is fun and doesn't take a whole lot longer than the INS needs to align. In case you want to train something specific: just set up a hot start bird. -
Hornet With Crappy Video Card
Shimmergloom667 replied to chrisgrind's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Multiplayer with a weak system won't exactly be fun, you should keep that in mind. For learning on low settings (since the Su-25 works for you) it could probably work, but everything else (MP is systems hungry) will be painful. -
Yeah, that might well be, it looked nicely diagonal when I whipped it up in paint with only one coffee in my system so far :D
