FWIW, War Thunder uses the .wrpl system which re-creates the entire flight using the commands stored on your machine and those on their server. Two main advantages are multiple camera angles and the ability to switch to any other plane within range. it is very stable and does a faithful re-creation of the mission. One disadvantage is they cannot store the tracks forever. Whenever the game is updated, the commands are lost and the replay is broken. You have to do your creating before the next update. Thank you BigNewy for your input. I understand that ED has a small dev team and they have many more important things to work on, but perhaps in the future we can have a more reliable replay system similar to this for those of us who like to create and display videos. The OP made a good point in that, it's a good way to "showcase what this game can be." If it's not against the rules, here is one that I made about five years ago with my band providing the soundtrack. If not, feel free to delete it. BTW, I use Bandicam for recording. I find it to be more user friendly than OBS. (personal preference )

Me too. Mine said DCS.exe was ransomeware and threw it in the quarantine bin.

Not in the trash. I fixed it though. I always do daily backups of my whole system. Since it is a windows file/app, I was able to restore the OS and got it back.

I have my games on a separate drive and wanted to move my Saved Games folder to that drive. I followed the instructions at the bottom of this post. DCS install drive - New User Briefing Room - ED Forums (eagle.ru) The folder did not go where I sent it. It is gone from my C drive and is not in my games drive. I can't find it and have lost all of my settings and scripts. Please help. I know that it is a windows app. Can it be restored or found? I tried search but no luck.

HELP!! I moved my saved games folder to my Games drive using the instructions above and now I can't find it. It disappeared from my C drive, but didn't show up in my Games drive. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

Using notepad++, open the file DCS World\Scripts\Speech\common.lua scroll down to line 2644 and change RUS to RUS, GER to GER etc.

I also have malwarebytes and the same happened to me. All you have to do is add the /bin/DCS.exe file to your allow list. GL&HF BTW, run cleanup and repair first to put the file back in the folder. The Mbytes quarantines it.

58125 is an old version. Can you update to 59625?

IIRC not all files in the update are new downloads. Most of it is just updating existing files, so the total load is not 61 GB. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong

Lately it seems that the generators are extremely sensitive. I have saved tracks over the past two months and was going to make this post a lot earlier. I haven't been feeling well so I put it off and the problem seems to have gotten better lately. It happened yesterday a few times and again today. (12-21-20) Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I attached the log file from today, but the tracks are all too big to attach. They are over 5Mb. dcs.log

Are you flying a P-47 or an X 15?

Make sure you remove any mods first. Then do this.

Remove all user mods, then cleanup and repair, then update again. I had the same issue, but I forgot to remove my mods. After removing mods I did cleanup and repair then update again. It works fine now.

NVM. I got it going. I forgot to remove all of my mods. I had some in two places, saved games and main folder. Thanx, Ray

I am having a similar issue. I am currently on 58125 and I am trying to update to 59398 which is the newest version. I get a message that 59398 is not available. Any ideas? autoupdate_templog.txt

Then it appears that it is a comms issue as Biggus posted above. The ship must turn when ordered. Just let us know when and we can adjust. Hopefully this can be addressed with the new comms currently being worked on.

It usually happens to me when placing the crane. It's so big that in trying to keep it behind the foul line and it ends up on top.

Yeah, if you want to fly a half baked Apache, War Thunder has one. Heliborne has an arcade version, but neither one is even close to a full sim. There is a world of difference. I for one will be happy to wait for a true DCS quality version.

I'd be happy with a replay system that actually works. What we have now is borked. Unless it's a short track, what happens after a while is not what was in the mission I just flew. Usually It shows me crashing when I didn't. Yesterday I did crash, but the replay showed it differently. I was making strafing runs in a P-47, shooting ground targets on Gelendzhik and clipped an AI helicopter that flew right in front of me near the waters edge. I managed to turn back towards land and made a belly landing on the beach. In the replay it showed me crashing into nothing and spiraling into the water. No helicopter, just all of a sudden boom and into the water, not the beach. This was about 15 minutes into the mission.

I apologize, I'm old school. I'm not into the newer weapons systems. I fly mostly WWll and Korean air stuff. I wasn't even thinking about the Ka 50. You're right about the Mi 8, but even though it has more and better weapons, it is a cumbersome beast. Not nearly as maneuverable as the Huey so bringing those weapons into play is more difficult, at least for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the Mi 8, but for absolute fun, the Huey is my baby. I can turn it on a dime and give you nine cents change. Try that in a Hip and you'll cut your tail off.
