[SOLVED] strange pink ghost light, where does it come from
Oban replied to grim_reaper68's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Max ! I've watched skatez video's I've sussed out the Nav and strobes, but the landing/taxi lights... not so good. -
Interesting... in that case, in your expert opinion, is there a positive outcome in all this for the end users?
-
You're missing the point, they're not speaking on behalf of Razbam, they're voicing their personal opinions, and those opinions are probably not helping Razbam in the long run. Unless it comes from their spokesperson, then it's hearsay. I'm also willing to bet that neither M2M, CaptSmiley, yourself, or AFNAV are in possesion of the terms and conditions of the contract between Razbam and ED.

The thread is about the whole situation between Razbam and Eagle Dynamics, the F15E is just a side topic.
-
Now that IS very ominous.

[SOLVED] strange pink ghost light, where does it come from
Oban replied to grim_reaper68's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Is there an idiots guide to setting up spot/landing lights anywhere? I too have the hideous purple light, tried the connectors, and the args, edited out the line's etc but still shows -
A very ambigious post.. Is it in your module manager ?
-
Did you select yourself as "player" ?
-
I'd love to know who this "We" are, and also what illegalities to be exposed, seeing as he's in posession of the terms and conditions between Razbam, and Eagle Dynamics...
-
A dishonest money grab ? , you would have to have access to ED's customers sales in order to see how many modules are being sold on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Out of those sales, a % would go to razbam ( eventually), if ED make 20-30% ROI on modules, it's not enough to be substantial, and by the time that goes through the various overheads, it's not much of a money grab. Given that this situation has a serious effect on the said modules, I think you're clutching at straws with the term "money grab" here. There's also contractual obligations between both parties outstanding, despite the grievences, that are still in effect. If Razbam ask ED to remove those modules, as they're dead, and never going to be updated, then yeah, ED will remove tham, at present, it's a status quo, and negotiations are still ongoing.
-
LOL, and how many times do you have to be told the same thing?
-
This screen was before I checked as to which shops were batch 3's Batch 1.. only if I can find a decent model, then yeah, there's not much difference weapons wise (sans Phoenix CIWS) @Northstar98 yeah radars are noted, It's what was on the model.

Oh the weekend corporate law degree is over?

Oh that's an awesome quote sir! I also like "assumptions are the mother of all f**kups"

Try not to take it personally, it's the internet, there's no doubt that passions and frustrations are high, as are expectations, it's the nature of the beast sadly.

LOL, this thread is full of people having meltdowns, it's what makes it last 93 pages, the entertainment is priceless.

And why do you feel they have to substantiate anything publicly especially within the court of public opinion, of which we're all participants ? You keep dismissing that it's almost guranteed that ED have been advised by their legal team to refrain from anymore public posts. You don't have to have a court rule on that, it's just common practice, less said, soonest mended , and prevents words being twisted and disterted in order to provide a narrative. Neither party gets a free pass in this mess.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Freelancers indeed, so why is it down to ED to pay them? It's down to their client, there's nothing condescending about it. I already said their pay could be related to performance bonuses, and that will come down to their employer, not the client. In reality, you don't have anymore of a clue, than anyone else here.
-
Exactly, nobody in a technical capacity works for free, nobody knows what the individuals salaries were, and what the wording in their contracts states. Even SME's will have some sort of contract, if they don't, and it's not all transparent, then who's to blame for their unfortunate predicament?
-
No, my reading comprehansion is just fime, salty are we? There's plenty of mentions about the radar being malicious within this thread, if you've been following it. It's called observation, stop being so salty.
-
They don't, but it wasn't the last update by ED that broke the radar. The radar failed 7 days after, there's no connection at all.

Having been involved in, and privy to remuneration disputes, most of my colleagues involved couldn't wait to berate their employer and call them all sorts of things, citing the clauses in their contracts of when remuneration should take place, even within the first 7 days of late payment, by the time it reaches 30 days late, the barrack room lawyers again start citing legal action, and threaten to walk off the project. After 60 days of non payment, they aired their grievance with the client, who then asks "why" too. Some take their case to their lawyers, who then ask the same questions. After 90 days of non payment, and things don't look like improving, and savings have been eaten into, they terminated their contracts, forfeiting all pay, and put it down to unresolved and unreconcilable differences, which in turn made the company no contractually compliant due to the loss of 30% of the manpower, which in turn was a further breach of contract between the company and the client, who then terminated their contract, resulting in EVERYONE losing their jobs.. This all heppened in the Middle East, where there was no legal infrastructure in place where workers were protected. When it comes to salaries, everyone has to look after their own interests, and self preservation kicks in. The terms and conditions of your contract in places like the USA and UK, are legal binding documents, and you are protected by various work laws, in this case, AFNAV's colleagues would also be afforded the same protection

And if ED don't have access to the source code, why would you point to them as being the culprit for breaking the out of date .dll , of which the F15E wasn't updated? I don't buy into anything malicious, from either Razbam, or ED in this case. If ED don't have access to the source code, then it's going to be down to Razbam to fix, now, the way I see this, if RB's intentions are to resolve the situation, then as a gesture of good faith, and to appease the customers of their module, providing a hotfix for the outdated .dll would go a long way towards community reconciliation.
-
That's the word ! I forgot what they were called I should know as I make them too LOL
-
Nice deflection !! How many times are you going to ignore the question about whom their employer is, and what's their terms and conditions state about remuneration? You constantly keep ignoring the FACT that ED will not comment publically, despite the numerous times you've been told by the moderation team. FACT, you do not know the reason for payment being witheld, and neither do the alleged "people you trust" , either show their contracts seeing as you want accountability and visibility, it works both ways. I'm not the one needing a lawyer, it's your colleagues, and the parties involved in this dispute. Don't pretend you know the "bigger picture " either, because you don't, and neither do your alleged colleagues. I don't need a lwayer to know you're just pissed off because ED are not playing YOUR game.
