Has great nose authority even down to 200kias and lower. Stay coordinated, step on the ball and you won't get wing drop when approaching stall. That said, above 15units aoa use rudders to roll with light stick inputs. Cut the roll SAS, it doesn't help at high aoa, some like to cut pitch SAS too. When you master all that, start moving wings around and learn how it behaves with high aoa and wings back, rudder control really become pronounced and is great practice. -

FPAS page always lies. Attempt a dry hover at 1000AGL Easy to recover, even dry, wings really stop making lift close to 50KIAS so be ready to feed her the heat and go around. Dump gas and ttry again, then make your VL with water on.

Just change your key bind for afc. New bind is afc toggle. When you toggle afc off it also trips the reset.

Altimeter 29.78 temp 19c Got it on deck with 900lb fuel and 200lb water. Didn't get a hover until I was 1400lb fuel and 500 water. Caveat here, this was all with the boat steaming 20kn. I had 2 SA full gpod and tpod.

That's the first thing I did. Hard to believe they didn't have HOTAS for those in the jet., those guys must have had three arms. As a side note, I've had good results using INS on the pod for laser rocket. Just one tap of undesignate, also prevents gimbal snaps on the run in. Also in INS tracking the LTIP ranging will latch for better bomb solutions.

Really? I've never even tried them on anything more than an APC. While they are nice, can carry a bunch but nothing like the A10, having to hold the laser and be uncomfortably close in has me using them to mop up light targets that I could basically do with unguided rockets and or guns just as well. I don't see them as ground breaking new tech or abilities, such as SLAM could provide. But I suppose in a world with budget concerns and collateral damage mitigation I can see their pros.

I think he's is using the DMT then going back to pod. From what I can tell the pod will time out in 10sec and go into stow, you then have to punch MFD to bring it back up. Also side note, a rearm will reset the pod and will need a 6min cool down for the flir to come up... annoying to say the least.

Try a 20deg dive after launch, hold until TTI is <8sec

From my experience it seems to be an issue with the default flight profile of the JDAM. They appear to favor a top attack 90deg dive onto the target, with the dive starting about 6000ft or so. Picture a funnel, so basically you release, and the bomb tries to conserve its altitude to the top of the funnel, and this is where it also bleeds a lot of speed trying to hold its altitude. The results are it then loses lift and never makes it into the funnel and falls short, never going into its terminal dive phase. I have battled with this for some time, seems to be a limitation until we can define terminal and heading parameters for the bomb. Rule of thumb for me now is to release when the range cue is at 7oclock to 5oclock.

Cruise page indicates best mach the same for current alt and optimum alt. At optimum it puts you at 7.5 aoa at high alt. But at low alt if you use best mach it's like 3.5 aoa. Seems like 7.5 aoa is the sweet spot but at lower altitude it is asking for mach .71 sometimes giving you 4 aoa.

This may be a feature request or even in the wrong place but here it is. There is a need for an option to reduce the rendered bullet ground impacts, because if you are like me and practice the volume over accuracy method of ground strafing, the amount of dirt being thrown up eats my FPS just when I am pulling out of the dive. Thinking something like render every 4th hit or 8th, some kind of slider in the options.

I just got into the habit of putting marks on anything I was setting an attack run up for, then make marks SPI and slave TGP to SPI. haven't had one gimbal lock, and at times it seems to unwind itself and jump back to the SPI

5AoA Do whatever to get to that. Same as hornet and tomcat. Tomcat is more like 4.5

I cant find the option to turn this jazz off, I cannot use the ol' laser finger to flip switches anymore it just locks onto the stick.
