  1. It was added in a recent patch for some reason.

  2. Thanks for the newly added helipads guys, much appreciated! Can you please also mark them with map icons, like it's done on other maps? They'll be much easier to find, considering many are placed at incorrect locations. Would also be nice to make them less generic by replacing certain pads with a more civilian variant (no sandbags etc.) And while you're at it, maybe also add icons to the unmarked airstrips? It's impossible to spot most of them on the map unless you know exactly where to look.

  3. There are two identical VOR beacons at Mount Pleasant, copied & pasted on top of each other.

  4. Can't say I'm 100% happy with it, but it certainly added character and made the map look less barren & generic. Although there's plenty of room for improvement, especially in colour matching and lighting.
  5. This tool can remove all modded objects from the .miz file: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322208/
  6. This one perhaps?
  7. Thank you! The gist of it is that when a frequency is not explicitly declared by the developer, it gets automatically assigned by the program. When developer changes frequency or adds a new airfield, that program then must reassign remaining frequencies to remaining airfields, which often lead to these reshuffles. The obvious solution would be to manually declare all frequencies, but that's either too bothersome, or technically impossible, or a mix of both. So the devs usually populate the VHF band with whatever they found in charts/google, and leave the other bands to chance. The above is true for every map in DCS, not just Syria. Ugra gets the most blame because their maps are more popular and more often receive major updates.
  8. For some reason they've made the frequencies .05 MHz apart in DCS:
  9. @ac5 Something has been lost in translation perhaps? He could've meant that they fixed it internally and will include the fix in the next patch:
  10. Just tried this in a clean mission with every possible Hornet state: airborne, runway start, hot start, and cold start. Each state with and without radio presets, with and without easy comms. Never got any response from Manston. The "abort takeoff" trick obviously doesn't work either, since the ATC doesn't answer. Randomly called other airfields (happened to be Detling and Lympne) and got normal response.
  11. Thanks for combing through this. Most of them are now aligned okay, but please check RWY26 ILS at Ben-Gurion.
  12. While the changelog says "Wadi Abu Rish: Fixed broken ILS", 110.60 is not the correct ILS frequency.
  13. Not sure why the changelog says "Bilbeis Air Base: Fixed wrong ILS frequency". It is still set to 108.60, while the first digit after the decimal point must be odd.
  14. It's not just Ben-Gurion: when I tried to make a list of unlit runways, I've encountered similar schizophrenic behavior at other aerodromes. And this report suggests the issue is not limited to Sinai only:
  15. I wonder how that would be possible? I'm taking snapshots after every update, and they haven't touched this folder since the release (bar the usual encryption refreshes).
  16. No, of course not, yours is more detailed.
  17. Nah, I reported not some, but all of these more than a year ago, got a "medium priority" response, and yet here we are.
  18. I feel it got worse after the update: quite a few TACANS have been removed and most broken ILS are still broken. The map certainly requires a thorough navaids review. Although I'm not sure where they gonna get the current data on military installations in this area. Even the dedicated military supplements from Jeppesen don't have Egyptian TACANs and air bases. I assume Navigraph lacks them as well. And SkyVector is hardly a credible source for the region.
  19. 15 August 2024 - Kola and Sinai kneeboards updated. > Download <
  20. They did as IvanK suggested and deleted the TACAN from Wadi al Jandali, effectively solving the OP's issue.
  21. RWY01L ILS frequency has too many zeroes:
  22. The correct layout would be this: RWY01 ILS 108.70 (currently have no ILS) RWY19 ILS 110.50 (current ILS have wrong frequency: 108.70)
  23. RWY34R ILS 114.20 is incorrect, should be 110.30
  24. RWY32R should have ILS (111.30) Also, the correct name would be Borg El Arab
  25. RWY35R ILS frequency 108.60 is incorrect.
