Why not? Makes no sence. Then all the missions/campaigns would be for Causasius only. But ok, that's how you think. Why then making for F-16? People have to pay for it as well

[FIXED] WMD7 Pod location in Context menu
skywalker22 replied to skywalker22's topic in Bugs and Problems
Don't bother, leave it as it is, if it's not possible to sort the items in the list manually. -
Is this because I find the HUD so hard to read, specially when sun is shining on it?
-
LOL - sorry @Martinbulldog but why did you then buy 4090 to have 2/3 of the possible settings on low? Waste of money. And 10700K is not an i9 series. @Fakum waste of time.

[FIXED] WMD7 Pod location in Context menu
skywalker22 replied to skywalker22's topic in Bugs and Problems
It does indeed, but would be better to sort them by usefulness or something. It's just a thought. I just bought this plane, and I must say it's an amazing piece or machinery. I don't know why I've never tired it before, somehow has been passing by without noticing. -
Seems so, DL is only one factor, you need two, to keep the info of contacts. Persoanally if DL designates a contact undoubtedly as a friend of foe, why you would change that, when contact is seen by your onboard FCR? Makes no sence at all. The other story is when there is no DL. But we are not talking about that here.

This is actually not a bug, but a request, I would like to see the WMD7 pod listed on top of this listing, and not at the bottom where is it now):
-
@BIGNEWY can you please pin this one? Thx.

Setting the burst altitude hasn't been working for a long time, if ever did. Here is the thread from 3 yrs ago.

It's an awesome pack for beginners. But as soon as you decide to try any FF aircraft, then its hard to go back to FC3.

Sorry to ask, but what does "fixed open height" mean? From wiki:

Did you maybe used any stats app, like Riva Tuner (part of MSI Afterburner app), to actually see the fps? If you didn't, can you do it again? Would be cool to see the actual different in fps between these 2 CPUs.

Hi there, would you also consider doing such mission on some other maps, maybe Gulf or Syria?

i5-11600K to i5-13600K, worth the upgrade?
skywalker22 replied to AlpineGTA's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Recently I have upgraded GPU to MSI 4090, but I'm still with 3 years old CPU i7 10700K. And as far as I have flown (and driven sim racing), it is still good enough for DCS, with no VR and with VR (Quest Pro). With i5 13600K I would maybe get 15-20% gain, which is almost negligible. Maybe with 13700K and 13900K I would get up to 30% gain, but based on the investement, NO thank you. I would say its worth waiting for the 14th gen of Intel CPUs. PS: I also overclocked 10700K to 4.9GHz few days ago, and there is 5% gain over default settings. -
They 1st have to put out of EA Block 50, and polish it, looots of things are still missing or are not working properly. Come back in 10yrs
-
Does Snowplow button (function) work now? I don't think it does well, at least while on the ground.
-
The problem of DCS (and most of the game out there), is that the load is still not spread out evenly. So 1 or 2 cores are overloaded, while the rest is almost idling. There is still a lo of work to do regarding MT, to make use of it in full potential. So, despite 7800X3D (or 7950X3D) are overall gaming kings, in DCS and specially in VR, the best option is 13900K atm.

Intel i9-13900k or AMD 7950X3D for DCS in VR
skywalker22 replied to Platypus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Another interesting video, comparing 7800X3D and 5800X3D. Is it really worth spanding that money for a newer CPU? -
Intel i9-13900k or AMD 7950X3D for DCS in VR
skywalker22 replied to Platypus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
7800X3d is better then 13900K in almost all games, specially in flight sims. Up to now, I was buying Intel CPUs for 25 years (since AMD 300, overclocked to 450). But now, I am not so much convinced any more into Intel. Latest AMD generation did a major step forward, and I'm starting thinking going back to AMD. 7800X3D is so tempting.... But maybe as of now, the Intel's CPUs still have a slight advantage in DCS, specially in VR. -
Is it possible to change these params in the file and changes actually take place without restarting the game? Didn't try that, that's why I'm asking.

New Build: i7-13700K vs i9-13900K for VR?
skywalker22 replied to Kirk66's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Taxiing to the runway.... damn... 15-20fps LOL And also 20fps during in the air: Clearly CPU bottleneck! That's also DCS issue. while Multi treading is not yet optimized! -
New Build: i7-13700K vs i9-13900K for VR?
skywalker22 replied to Kirk66's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This is how it looks from VR, when standing still, have to fly, will do it later. -
13900KS: E-cores useful in dcs ?
skywalker22 replied to cmbaviator's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Why? I know here is some theory explained, but is this really the case? @Hippo did you also do it?
