While true, there are reasons for having Hind with transport space. Helicopters spend most of their life in peace so having attack helo that can supplement transport is great, especially for small countries. What is interesting is that countries that have access to proper attack helicopters also bought Hinds. Iraq operates Mi28 but also Mi35. Egypt has Apache and Ka52 and still they made emergency purchase of few Hinds. Why Mil still pushes Hind after all this time when they have better product - there is a need for it.

Same thing happened just now on Prince of Persia and blue got owned in main town. When they hide tanks like that, their fire cone is narrow. Also they are succeptable of being flanked and picked off from behind. Oddly I find it easer to kill them then when they are in open space. You just run around town and w8 for them to be located. Also using HE on surrounding buildings to bury them is fun. Regarding Abrams being OP compared to T72. DCS vehicles deploy smoke but after they are hit. But not preemptively and cant be by player. Kinda annoying.

"Mauled" is not the proper word. It was more tit for tat. AH1 didn't have advantage against Hind there. It was who sees who first. Hind+Gazelle was combo to fight armoured targets not air ones. Here they are in same unit, still best of buddies.

In Mountain Peaks mission recently I got to fire R55s head on, tho locking enemy with radar first. Ofcourse it wouldn't hit a broad side of a barn. Maybe its the same with R60 until it gets with in parameters then starts tracking.

Ofcourse you will be able perform same type of attacks as Ka50 but at shorter ranges. When we get atakas it will be at more comfortable 6km. Hind can hover and you can easily find videos of him doing just that type of attacks. Iirc hind had 200h hover lifetime limit. But then again, more fun to scream at 300km/h and fire storm of rockets at offending grid square.

Article is not valid. We(Serbia) got initial batch of 4 Mi-35Ms. And they have NVG and FLIR. Mi-35M is not comparable avionics vise with old Mi-24.

Mission: Mountain Peaks Small number of MiG21 slots, no helicopter slots and nothing for JTAC or tac. command to do but GCI. Can we pretty please get Mi8 slots atleast with S5s and Huye for Blue so we have something to do. I stoped playing airquake servers the moment I started joining Cold war ones. Hind will fit like glove there. Landing troops near enemy and then procede to engage it. You usually ain't downed in a first pass from a fighter. Its easier to find them then for them to find you. R60s on Hind will make lot of trouble for fighters.

First of all you can have 8 missiles not 4. Hind is not Apache and Apache is not Hind. Your problem with Hind seems like complaining whats the point of Sabre when there is F15. Module is depiction of weapon system from certain time period. Its not there to fill hole in weapon roster or level the playing field. This is not War thunder.
