I have to support gnomechild's review. Thank you very much, Reflected, for this excellent campaign! I've finished the final three missions this morning, every mission has been both great fun and excitement. Paradise Lost has become my favourite Huey campaign and is among my favourites overall. Great mission design, perfect setting, scripting and voice acting make this campaign a must for every Huey pilot. The immersion level is very high, on par with Baltic Dragon's amazing work for me. The difficulty level may be not too high for experienced pilots but it should be challenging enough. Beginners should also be able to master the missions without frustration. And you could always skip one and revisit it later. Regardless of the pilot experience, the skillful mission design should thrill everyone. Like gnomchild said, it's also a perfect way to explore the Marianas scenery. I hope that we'll see more helo campaigns from your side in the future, you certainly got the right stuff :-)

fixed Loading crashes at spawn objects - asset pack problem, maybe?
blaster182 replied to blaster182's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yup, seems to have been fixed alright. Thanks to the Devs! -
I can't load mission 2 of Spitfire The Big Show campaign, the game crashes during "spawn objects. I'm running open beta 2.7.6.13133. The mission loaded flawlessly in the previous version. I tried a repair, but no luck. I think the problem may be related to the WWII asset pack. When loading the Spitfire instant action mission "ground attack", the sim crashed at spawn objects, too. Other instant action missions like the port raid work, so I guess it's one object in the asset pack that causes trouble.

I'll copy the post to the asset pack thread.

I'd at first applied the brake axis to a slider on my throttle but this is best for taxiing, applying a constant brake for easy control. For landing, I've assigned the brake command to a button and keep tapping it while shuffling the rudder and applying full back stick. After some practice, I'm managing To keep straight with only occasional wing dips or ground loops.

Nyogel on the TFRP rails had an adverse or no effect for me. Loosening the plastic brackets of the pedals over the slide rails slightly made things better and I'm OK with the Spitfire and my helos - but there's always room for improvement: Great idea about the teflon tape, I'll try this.

fixed internally Mission 8 - Reaper does not taxi

You're doing a great job, nevertheless, keeping up with the constant issues caused by the DCS core updates! -
reopened Mission 8: Package stuck at WP 2
blaster182 replied to LordOrion's topic in Bugs and Problems
Unfortunately, the strike package was still stuck at WP2 today, in open beta 2.7.1.6430. The track file is too large to attach, I'm afraid. The AI planes did taxi, this had been fixed. -
Persian Gulf: You can try my free flight mission, offering Huey take offs close to the ancient ruins and from the Abu Dhabi mosque. I haven't updated it to open beta version 2.7 yet, but just change the weather in the mission editor and you're set. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310197/ The Channel: You should find new instant action missions for the Huey in OB v2.7. Free flights from Boulogne and Hawkinge take you along some special monuments and buildings. NTTR: Check out the nuclear weapon test craters close to Pahute Mesa airstrip:

Maybe this has been reported elsewhere already but I just came across the low and sparse lighting on the NTTR map in open beta version 2.7. I've attached the mission (starting at 18:45 local time) and screenshots with time advanced to 20:45. Is my memory wrong or wasn't there much more and colorful lighting previously? You have to log in first. I had the same issue today. Probably this is meant to keep you from buying accessories for modules that you don't own.

Position/ Nav Lights are Ridiculously Bright After latest patch
blaster182 replied to CommandT's topic in M-2000
+1 Daytime brightness is definitely too intense. What's more, the intensity is low when the other Mirage is close to my wing and suddenly jumps to high intensity when the distance increases. Plus, the intensity is much higher than on the other plane types, making the Mirage look out of place. -
Just my two cents, if you can live without three button profiles and two button layers are enough. 1) Uninstall the Saitek profiler 2) In Windows device properties untick the "clutch" function under the right tab. 3) Set one button (for example pinkie or clutch) as modifier in the DCS control settings. I have the clutch button set as modifier, straight in DCS without extra profiler software. Two functions per button are sufficient for most planes in DCS and personally, I can't remember more HOTAS functions.

[RESOLVED] INS drift 10 times what it should
blaster182 replied to Tumbleweed1606688689's topic in Resolved Bugs
I've seen the same and decided to switch back to the previous open beta version. Mostly because the Red Flag campaign had issues in the latest open beta. -
Thanks for your help, Baltic Dragon! In the latest open beta 2.5.6.60720 and with the Mirage hotfix applied, some messages do not appear. The first missing message is the one that tells me to contact my wingman on channel G12 when turning towards WP2 at Truck Stop. I guess that some triggers aren't working as they should in the latest open beta version. I've also noticed - but this is probably a new bug in the Mirage - that the full INS alignment is accelerated and finishes in about 1 or 2 minutes. The countdown on the INS display just races down. I've gone back to open beta 2.5.6.60966, and mission 3 works there. I just need to finish it, Reaper blew me out of the sky with an AIM-120C a few minutes ago EDIT: Same happened again now, I was killed by the F-15C when I'd engaged. I will skip the mission for this time. I want to say thank you for your fantastic work, Baltic Dragon, this and the original campaign are both superb!!
