Die F-16 is das deutlich vielseitigere Flugzeug, auch wenn Sie noch in einem sehr frühen Stadium ist. Sie ist bei weitem der bessere Dogfighter und hat eine viel größere Auswahl an Waffen/Einsatzprofilen. Momentan fehlt nur leider noch recht viel davon. Wenn Du ein Modul willst das so nah wie möglich an der Fertigstellung ist, ist die F-14 ganz klar die bessere Wahl. Wenn dich A/G Einsätze nicht/nur bedingt interessieren ebenfalls. Willst Du aber ein Flugzeug das fast alles kann und bist bereit noch 12-18 Monate zu warten bis es "fertig" ist, dann würde ich eher die F-16 empfehlen. Klar, die Tomcat hat auch einen TGP und kann GBU's tragen, aber spätestens wenn Mavericks und HARMs+HTS bei der F-16 integriert werden, wird sie deutlich interessanter als die Tomcat. Wenn der Preis ein Kriterium ist, ist die F-16 momentan auch das bessere Schnäppchen.

I'd highly recommend the Hornet, since it is IMO the most capable and versatile jet in DCS right now, even while it's not feature complete. But still very much mission capable, it provides a widespread range of ordonance and is a great ground pounder, ship hunter and dogfighter. Sure there are better ground pounders, dogfighters and there are other multi-role jets in DCS, but none of them provides carrier ops (wich are great fun). The only jets in DCS that can compete with the Hornet in terms of versatility are the Viper and the JF-17, but as mentioned both don't provide carrier ops, the Viper is not as polished as the Hornet and the Jeff is not even capable of air to air refueling. With the Hornet you'll get the maximum that can be packed in a single jet and with the ongoing sale at 50% off, you'll definately get the most for your money.

For the Hornet and the F-16, MFD 1 & 2 are auto mapped. For the Hornet, the top right switch (SYM) is not mapped for MFD 1 & 2, as the Hornet does not have that function for both DDI's. So you have one switch/2 buttons per MFD for individual use. I mapped them with A-A/A-G mode for MFD 1 and dispenser switch up/down for MFD 2. Not sure about the MPCD, as my second MFD pack is not ordered yet...

Got my bases mounted to a simrig, so nothing flips over. The baseplate of the WarBRD base is indeed not the best solution. It's way too light and it's footprint is too small for comfortable desktop use IMO. If there is no possibility to mount it to a simrig or desk mount, i'd suggest purchasing a heavy steel plate and create something new instead of drilling the original Warthog baseplate. If you lack the tools, a local machinist will CNC cut, mill and drill it for a reasonable price. Just in case if you want to sell it some day.

Same here. Using the WarBRD base with Warthog grip on top and heavy springs, as well as soft center avia cams installed. So far the best combo for the WarBRD base IMO. Tested the cosmo cams as well, but like the avia cams more. Also purchased the extra heavy springs as well, but haven´t tested them yet.

Depends on what you buy. Their bases are excellent and so seem to be the rudder pedals. I do not own any of their grips (and won't ever), but heard and read about some issues here and there. VKB and TM grips are said to be way better in terms of used material and button quality. The grips are good, but not superior. I own all of the Virpil extensions and they are excellent quality, especially the 200mm S-type. Virpil has a are very good product line overall, but their customer support seems to be poor.

Upgraded to a 1000MBit connection. Steam needed ~30 seconds to download the 3,1Gb DCS update today. IMO, a 1-2 day delay for updates and equal discounts is more than acceptable for such a download rate...

That stuff can be easily DIY. Monstertech uses standard profiles, ITEM-8 type. Take away all the additional stuff Monstertech adds to the profile, they take more than 100€ per meter from your wallet. Google these profiles and you will see that the price per meter is between 6€ - 32€, depending on size. The one Monstertech use is about 12-14€ per meter (black is slightly more expensive, but just a few bucks). And you will need like 1 meter for both mounts together (throttle+stick). Get a cheap but effective clamp, find a local machinist that will CNC cut your plates and drill and thread the profiles for you and you will get high quality and very sturdy desk mounts equal to the Monstertech stuff for like 1/3 or even 1/4 of their price.

A TM Hornet Throttle replica would be a day one buy, same goes for the F-16. Best with the same footprints of the A-10 TQS fitting the same mounts...

Warum sollte ich von einer Autobahn ohne Tempolimit in eine 30er Zone wechseln?;) Mit ner 1000Mbit Leitung lade ich DCS updates bei Steam mit etwa 100 Mb/s herunter. Ein 10 Gb update dauert ungefähr 100 Sekunden. Wenn das kein triftiger Grund ist... Dafür nehm ich die 1-2 Tage Verzögerung bei Rabattaktionen oder Updates gerne in Kauf. Und andere Vorteile hat Standalone meines Wissens nicht. Und bei wem wieviel Kohle hängen bleibt, interessiert mich relativ wenig. ED nagt deswegen nicht am Hungertuch. Würde ED nicht massiv von Steam profitieren, würden sie ihr Produkt dort schon lange nicht mehr anbieten. Von daher ist Moral überflüssig.

Bei Steam gabs wohl mal wieder Probleme mit der Aktion. Scheint genau so zu sein wie VIPER.75 geschrieben hat. Sind auf Steam jetzt alle teilnehmenden Module über den gesamten Zeitraum im sale und können für jeweils 2 Tage kostenlos ausprobiert werden.

Both are separate controllers and can be mapped independently from each other. I think you could even morph them together as virtual controller in a target profile, should not be a problem.

Ich kann nur über Steam sprechen und da ist außer der Viper nichts reduziert. Zumindest nicht für mich. Daher interpretiere ich den Newsletter so. Wenn alle Module über den gesamten Zeitraum im sale sind, wär natürlich richtig klasse.

Die Aktion geht bis 18. April und alle teilnehmenden Module sind für jeweils 2 Tage kostenlos ausprobierbar und gleichzeitig reduziert. Klasse, danke für die Antworten Wenn alle Stricke reißen werd ich mich an MT wenden, denke aber nicht dass das nötig sein wird. Wenn Du sagst, dass das Profil 40x80mm hat sind das fast alle infos die ich brauche. Ich kann das Zeug über meinen Chef beim Großhändler bestellen, ich brauch lediglich die richtigen Maße. Nur zu den MFD Haltern von MT hätte ich noch eine Frage. Und zwar, ob die mit Befestigungsmaterial, sprich Nutstein/Hammernuss, geliefert werden um sie im Profil zu verankern? Grüße

Hallo alle zusammen, Ich will schon ziemlich lang 3 TM Cougar MFDs installieren, steh aber vor dem Problem, dass meine rig keinen Rahmen o.ä. hat an dem ich sie vor mir befestigen kann. Also bleibt nur eine DIY Lösung. Orientieren will ich mich an Monstertech, nicht zuletzt wegen ihren MFD/Tablet Haltern (die auch verbaut werden sollen). Plan ist, eine Aluprofilstrebe mit Fundamentwinkeln o.ä. auf der Bodenplatte meiner rig zu montieren und dann mit den MFD/Tablet Haltern von Monstertech zu besetzen. Bevor ich alles bestelle wollte ich aber noch ein paar Dinge über das System wissen. Und zwar als erstes, welches System Monstertech mit welcher Nutbreite (6,8, oder 10mm) verwendet. Bosch-Rexroth oder Item? Außerdem will ich den Halter für das mittlere MFD nicht mit Klebepads befestigen, sondern über die beiden dafür vorgesehenen Löcher am Profil verschrauben, weswegen mich die Profilbreite (z.B. der Monstertech Tischhalterungen) und der Abstand zwischen den beiden Nuten interessiert. Alternativ wäre der Kernabstand zwischen den beiden Befestigungslöchern am MFD Halter interessant. Ebenso der Durchmesser der Bohrungen am MFD Halter, um Nutsteine mit passendem Gewinde kaufen zu können. Am rechten und linken MFD Halter ist das Gewinde (Ich vermute M6, bin mir aber nicht sicher) am optionalen Gelenk für mich interessant, ebenfalls um Nutsteine mit passendem Gewinde kaufen zu können. Ich hoffe, dass mir jemand weiterhelfen kann, auch wenn es schon ziemlich viele Fragen sind. Danke schonmal im Vorraus. Grüße

Most of the online servers are empty 24/7 and only a few are populated. My server browser shows round about 500 servers and 700-1000 players worldwide. Including one Admin bot on each server, so there are roughly about 300-500 real players online. I highly doubt that this is the majority of DCS customers. And for aircrafts from the same era on both sides... red has the JF-17 wich is very versatile and pretty much equal to the F-16/F-18 (well, as long as the 120C is still underpowered compared to it´s real life performance), so what´s the point?

This is only a part of the truth. Fact is, that the details of the MSFS 2020 world map is related to your internet connection. The slower your connection is, the less details you will have. Not everyone has a 1000 Mbit/s connection to enjoy FS 2020 in full details, while i doubt a 1000 Mbit/s connection will be enough for that. Not to talk about the CPU/GPU you will need to run this with more than 15 fps. Even the raindrops on the windscreen are A.I. controlled as well as multiple shadow layers on 32 layer cloud systems. The PC (and internet connection) that runs FS 2020 with 60+ fps on full details is not developed yet.

That is correct. If you want to have all switch positions beeing mapped functional, target is the best way to achieve this without having to mod any .lua files. For example you can map the China Hat forward, backward and middle position as 3 separate inputs.

Gibt es in der echten Hornet auch nicht und wird daher wohl auch nicht in DCS "dazu-erfunden". Man kann das aber auf der SA-Page sehen wohin der TGP ausgerichtet ist.

Not sure if this would work, but you could try following: Use one TM base free and ingame mapped and the second one with a TARGET profile, as TARGET will morph your controllers included in the profile to a separate virtual controller. This should work, also for the throttle. Besides that, i would rather purchase a VPC WarBRD base instead of a second TM base. It´s a bit more expensive, but you´ll get what you´ll pay for. I got a similar setup as you are planning to get. TM base with extension and TM F/A-18 grip on top center mounted, VPC WarBRD base with TM A-10/F-16 grip as sidestick. Absolutely happy with the WarBRD base and i would never exchange it for a second TM base. Cheers

The problem with SARS-CoV-2 is not that it´s got a high mortality (infact it hasn´t, compared to Ebola or similar), the problem is that there is very little knowledge about the virus and that it has such a long incubation time (2-3 weeks) before there are signs of an infection, wich is absolute remarkable for a potentially short term deadly disease. Ebola for example will kill you within a few days after infection and has very little chance to travel from africa to america or europe. This (and the lack of knowledge about it) is what makes SARS-CoV-2 dangerous and supports spreading over the whole world. The best advise is to clean your hands regulary and don´t panic.
