  3. Perhaps homing on to known radio stations. Could be useful in certain situations. And of course listening to the sports news. ;)
  4. Ultralight lands on ship's deck and takes off. Start watching at 3 minutes.
  5. Starting to really like these Boxy Foxies http://russianplanes.net/id122651
  6. Once happened to me in the old IL-2. Was attacking an airfield with AAA and got so badly damaged that I didn't think it would fly for much longer, perhaps due to a fire that later extinguished, don't remember exactly. Bailed out and kept on watching the aircraft go. I think I even used time compression because it flew for so long and eventually made a smooth belly landing.

Though this used to be armed. http://russianplanes.net/id122542
  8. Wow Namenlos! That's some serious heavy caliber dueling. Great reflexes on the tanker but I'd still rather be an RPG guy... and not taking on a tank face to face.
  9. Red Bull Air Race to resume in 2014 http://www.redbullairrace.com/en_INT/article/top-pilots-buckle-2014http://www.redbullairrace.com/en_INT/article/top-pilots-buckle-2014 Tour Stops: 1.3 Abu Dhabi 18.5 Putrajaya, Malaysia 27.6 Gdynia, Poland 24.8 Ascot, England 14.9 Dallas/Fort Worth, USA 12.10 Las Vegas, USA 2.11 China The only motorsport I'm interested in and it's finally coming back! Still pissed because of the 2007 St. Petersburg cancellation though.

  11. Well you should read and try to understand what people in this thread have been saying about the more realistic pedals. If you have for example KomodoSim pedals, they don't have any centering springs, they should stay where you put them and you can then fly "feet off". That's a more realistic approach and in such such cases the current trimmer implementation would make it impossible to fly without PeterP's mod. If I still had my old Saitek pedals, I would have removed the centering springs by now anyway to get a more realistic, less restrictive experience. The original trimming system was indeed built to make it possible to fly the Shark with pedals such as yours which are not designed for helicopter use in any way.
  12. After 47 years of RAF service, the VC10 has taken to the skies for its final air-to-air refuelling operational sortie https://www.gov.uk/government/news/final-flight-of-the-vc10
  13. South Korea rejects F-15SE, says not good enough http://www.seattlepi.com/default/article/SKorea-rejects-Boeing-says-F-15-not-good-enough-4838194.php
  14. I think this forum should imitate the Belsimtek forum structure. The main forum would be reserved for general RRG simulations talk and subforums would be for each aircraft type.
  15. Since stretch goals are unachievable, I doubt there will be much income after we reach 100k. The project will be funded enough and the biggest fans have already pledged long time ago. Since the not so excited customers won't gain anything special and will get the initial content for free, why pledge? I wouldn't. I'm sure we'll reach the initial goal before october.
  16. Holy Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!! You crazy bastard!
  17. It was achieved in this video already. I was hoping for more cockpit shots and dramatic smoke and flames during start up. Displaying the EDGE capabilities was also very important IMO. Despite not being made by RRG, the Mustang and Dora will be an important part of the sim and thus are existing content of the DCS: WW2. Now we just have to spread the video as much as we can.
  18. Excellent video! That's what the Kickstarter needed from the beginning. No offence but the official videos haven't been all that inspiring. More machinima was definately needed. Though that one is possible only because it's unofficial as 1C would kick their ass if it wasn't.
  19. It would bring a whole lot of confidence to Belsimtek's customers if they told us in a bit better detail what's going on. Like Yo-Yo posted in another thread the simulated power curves for the Dora. We are here sitting and guessing if our Huey flies correctly or not. I miss Sundowner and his attention to detail. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114094

  21. Guys, please keep the completely unrelated aircraft out of the thread. This is not a wishlist so they serve no purpose. Thanks.
  22. I did mention them in the OP and they are out of the poll for obvious reasons. I feel you but the polling system doesn't allow for ranking the aircraft, that's why we can only post each our own list in the thread. If choosing multiple options would be allowed, the poll might not show clear winners.
  23. I really hope ED will update the Su-33. Not gonna buy the FC3 as I'm not interested in fighters or the Frog, except for the Su-33 as it's a naval fighter. Make AFM and new 3D pit and I'm all in buying it as DLC!
  24. Perhaps it would help if the developers would know which aircraft their customers would want the most. Luthier has already said that they are considering making changes to satisfy demand and very obviously they are listening to us. Instead of scattered opinions, let's give them some numbers to crunch. Vote for the aircraft you would want to fly the most of those listed in Kickstarter (not including ED's planes). Then list them in a descending order in this thread. Please don't ask here for any aircraft not listed by RRG because they have chosen them according to the documentation available for making a DCS level simulation. I can only list 10 in a poll so I'll leave the Me 410 A and Ju-88 out from it but let's include them in our list. My list would be: 1. Me 262A-1 2. Bf-109K-4 3. Spitfire Mk IX 4. Hawker Typhoon IB 5. A-26B-15 6. FW.190A-5 7. Me 410 A 8. Ju-88 9. P-47D-28 10. Mosquito FB.VI 11. P-38J-15 12. B-17
  25. I have the A-10C but I'm not really interested in learning it and my time is short for that too. However A-10A was the answer to me. I love the Warthog and will love to take it for a spin from time to time, while not dedicating all my time to it. Now that you can get it for the price of a pint from Steam, it was an instant grab! Unless you are seasoned in the C-Hog and have a lot of time to fly it, you should get this. Otherwise no other point I suppose.
