One thing to remember is that a DCS level Frog would bring more restrictions to the already old plane. Like for example the weapon system can't handle several types of guided missiles or bombs to be hanged at the same time. No problem if you haven't been loading a different weapon to each rack anyway. Apart from this I think FC3 already gives a good enough representation of the old thing IMO.

Ok I misunderstood that but I though I read somewhere that the A-10A will be getting AFM and 3D cockpit. That would mean all ground pounders having them and that's all I need. For Su-33 I'd be happy for all updated 3D models in and out. So lets forget the AFM, I'll buy FC3 if Su-33 will be updated. ;)

Hi, there are no stupid questions. :) Are you flying in sim or game mode? Maybe you couldn't stop despite the wheel brake because you had too much forward trim on cyclic? Press Ctrl+Enter to see where your controls are. Then trim your cyclic to neutral and try stopping with brakes. Also the ATC doesn't really care where you land and the last time I flew (long time ago) properly the ATC did tell me the runway so I don't know why it didn't for you. Don't care about that too much though. The missions don't end automatically, you have to Esc and Quit. That's how it usually is in simulators.

Ok I'll chip in. I wasn't going to buy FC3 but the recent developments are very very interesting. Full 3D pits with AFM and so I'm sold! If ED announces to develop the Su-33, I'll buy FC3 and ED will get my 50 bucks they desperately need. ;) +1

Ok my Ikea MDF stand works pretty well. Luckily I had a couple of pieces laying around. I had to buy fixed height feet for the stand and so I was worried. Finished it off today and I can rest them between my toes and the balls of feet. Some adjusting will be required but I took them for a spin. They were precise, smooth and flying the Ka-50 without any dampers was a breeze! For the Huey though, I'll tell you later. :D I'll sure forget about the bloody Saitek pedals quickly but time will tell if these are worth the buck. :) You also have done nice job refining the design from the picture on the first page. Might do a mini review later on. Thanks for support Rich!

Turn on the Weapon Systems switch on the right panel and then turn on the K-041 Targeting and Navigation System switch on the left side targeting mode control panel. And of course don't forget to put your throttle levers to Auto.

That's actually a viable option and performed during Vietnam war. Read Chickenhawk to get ideas on how to land into impossible spots and get out of them loaded!

I received your pedals, thanks! I don't have a home cockpit so I need to make a separate stand for them. I'm trying to achieve as natural sitting position as possible and having a bit hard time. You said that the pedals are modeled according to some real helicopter pedals. Could you tell me the approximate seat height from the floor in such a helicopter? I feel like I have to put my legs quite high to reach a natural position.

Try that for a couple of years and you'll end up like me lately. A walking zombie. Everything suffers because of lack of sleep. It was fun and new in the beginning...
