You won't regret it! I would have answered CH too. First I had Saitek X52 Pro but the twist rudder was spiky so I returned it. I wasn't happy with the build quality or the feel anyway. Bought CH and never looked back. Excellent controls! Now I also finally replaced my plastic, flimsy Saitek pedals with excellent KomodoSim's pedals.

Low Level Hell is also a great book full of action. It's amazing what these crazy yanks did with their machines.

Autopilot tries to keep your heading even on the ground. Don't fight it, don't turn it off by using DH/DT switch (it might cause problems during cruise if you forget to turn it back on, set your systems on ground and concentrate on flying), know your machine and let it work for you. Simply press trim button every time you change direction, just like in flight and the Shark will obey.

A tool for DCS on Android ? Are you interested ?
Griffin replied to yeepee's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi Frederic! Are you still developing the app? I've been testing it on my old android phone and your app certainly has potential. However the checklists are really cumbersome and I'd really like some customization options. I'm considering a tablet and I'm not sure if I'll get Ipad (overpriced) or some cheaper yet a good android tablet. DCS Manager would be a major selling point for android tablet. The map part in your app is great and easy to use but the checklists are really hard to use and contain some very unnecessary things. For example pressing back button every time you want to progress in the start up is very counter intuitive. They should be in a continuous list with quick shortcuts from menu button or something like that. Plus, who the hell has time pressing the check boxes while having an engine failure in a hover? Such lists should be brief and straight to the point and the check boxes are unnecessary. If I could decide, I would rewrite all checklists myself. It would be great if it was so easy as to write a simple text document with some specific format which the program can translate into a checklist. Moving between the maps and checklists should be done via for example screen swipe gesture or menu button. A neat thing would also be automatic scroll of a checklist after you press a check box so that the next item would be always in the middle of the screen. And many more customization options would be very desirable like measurement unit options. I would even be glad to buy (donate) such a great and easy app for 20-30 €. That's quite many beers. :) -

That switch is down by default. Check again manual page 6-100 and the number 4 item on the picture and it's description. That's the only switch that's needed for the ADF needle to point to the transmitter providing the frequency is correct.

It works perfectly with the HSI needle, it's the ABRIS that doesn't work (in SP). -
BS2 1.2.x bugs and glitches thread (not CTD/BSOD)

When the ADF is slaved to the R-800L1 VHF radio and the ABRIS RMI needle is slaved to the ADF, the needle indication on the ABRIS doesn't point to the radio transmitter. I should probably look closer at this though. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=108146 -
I'm just studying the system and yes it should. I'll try to report a bug.

I can confirm this feature working in the latest version. It does show the direction of ATC, wingmen and other flights. It doesn't work on ABRIS though and I guess it's not supposed to.

According to at least two Navy Seawolves, they did cook-off during hot firefights. http://www.seawolf.org/stories/hicks_story.asp http://www.seawolf.org/stories/stark.asp

In IL-2 WW2 sim if you get killed while shooting, it sometimes continues. I guess a "death squeeze" happens in real life too sometimes.

Too bad. I don't know any English documents but there are hundreds of forum pages on the Russian side with real Su-25 pilots telling about their combat employment. They have posted quite a lot of videos on Youtube too.

I was just watching aviation videos on Youtube like this one but for the whole interview all I could see was... I'm really sorry.......

Do you read Russian?

A few videos spotted on militaryphotos.net. VT-0858B Convair Video on their Nuclear Weapon A couple of Konkurs ATGM videos from Syria. The second explosion is enormous! You can see the turret landing almost ten seconds later. With Allan's Snackbar naturally. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MGK-nQTbYug http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rG1zvSK38r8

Damn man. :D Depends on what you can call experience though. If I would list everything that I worked on for at least two months, the list would be over a dozen long ranging from Cessna's, museum jet fighters to cutting edge military aircraft and wide body airliners. And I'm not even 24 yet. :) My only real knowledge and experience is just in a couple of commercial turbofans.
