Well, they got it pretty dang right IMHO... I m every 6 months in a FFS and some Sims that we use have more bugs or misreproduced systems compared to the real bird... Got some colleagues that were f16 pilots before joining the airline that fly with us in VR... They will all agree that DCS in VR has better quality and possibilities then the sim they had for their Vipers.... Ok, other thechnology, other purpose etc etc... DCS has some limitations compared to the real thing due to classified data allright but there is also so much the airforce sim can do compared to the bird itself... so yes, even 600eur/h sims are not 100% realistic lol -

I noticed something a bit the same with the caret moving down ever so slowlly and was wondering if it was not my analogue antenna axis that was playing games with me... I could have try to check the curve or sensitivity in the axis but in the meanrime, I switched hotas and I didnt noticed the issue so far... Dunno if that might be linked to what you guys see... -

I agree with that post. After reading you, I just looked for the doc U mentioned and found a website that had it ready for download (18usd though) Took me 5'... In there, Work package 13 00, page 8 mentioned how MSI tracks can be FACQ or established as L&S from STT and so on (based on MC15) So locking MSI track should be a thing for us too I guess... -
If you are craving for official manuals, be advised that Many of them can be found online for almost all planes present in DCS... Some might still be undisclosed and classified but those aside, you will already have your plate full... No need for YT videos.... Look around for following: F/A18 NATOPS JDAM employment guide NAVMIC CNATRA Carrier Natops etc etc

I think you must be right! might be why we see a white glow at the bottom of the in-headset screen when we look down in the cockpit while flying above white clouds... might be the background of the VR mask perspirating from below...

I have to report that I noticed the same... the lower edge line of the hmd is having this glowing/halo white blueish effect. Only when flying over a layer of clouds or with heavy luminosity... If I go under an overcast, I dont see it anymore. You notice it in your peripheral vision, when not looking at the edge of your hmd but when you look at the edge of your VR screens, it diaapear... something is creating a reflection with those new lights effects and it reverbs (sic) on the edge of the lenses... If I leave a mission without clouds, I have same perfs as before.... the new clouds are taxing around 15 to 20% of my perfs..... Time to fiddle with the settings... again lol

Hi all, I upgraded to a G2 a few months ago already and the pottential buyer of my G1 has other expenses so I place it here for sale. That G1 pro was bought in october 19 and has the proper cable fix. 350eur Next item is a TM F/A18 stick. I wanted to mod it to swap SCS and Trim switches to simulate the harrier but I barelly fly that module and have a second TM f18 stick on my rig so it is redundent. It is modded with OTTO P1 butons for weapon release and undesignate switches just like the real hornet stick. a 4.5lbs release for the weapon and a 2.5 for the undesig... would like 180eur on that one. Throttle Virpil CM2: I now use a WW Taurus so I have no use of this throttle anymore. Got it in April 20. Great condition. Would like 280€. Track IR 5 Will come with the hat reflectors but not the hat itself (I sweated enough in this... lol) 40€ Buyer pays the shipping costs but would prefer shipping in EU as I m in Belgium. paypal or revolut transfer OK. more info via MP if you want. Yes, Winwing got this wrong, your thrust lever handles should be tilted by 15 deg to the left... This 15 deg angle is a must for carpian canal comfort... So yes, it matters a lot. Unfortunatelly, trying a fix on those wingwing handle, altough rather simple with triangular shaped block of 15 deg angle installed, will see your handles touch and hit eachother since the shape is also wrong somehow. It s due to the double angle cut between both of them that need to be precise. Even without the 15 deg, due to slightelly wrong shape, to make sure they dont touch, WW has them both separated by a too big of a gap that is also creating some ergonomic issues... The 15 deg left tilt matches with the angle of the small flat cut area where you have the "cage" button that should be parallel with the throttle axis/plane boresight. Mason grips (f/a18 throttle handles contractor builder) plans are avail and show this too... Ive used those plans to remake the throttle themselves and adapt it on my rig... Took me a while to get all the angles right but it was worth the effort... Still a wip though...

Hey guys, I kinda get my own way of using the jammer since understanding it's limitations and use. But I was wondering if any of our more knowleadgeable member would enlight us with proper use of the equipement... In a SEAD mission, an picture clean, it made total sense and helped a great deal to conduct a successfull safe mission... But in A/A with 3 other wingmen and against a Gorilla group (like the instant mission in Syria with defence of Incirlik), it was more an annoyance since the radar becomes useless and, combined with our Amraam bug (for the moment) where they go stupid if the lock is broken before they go active, it makes us almost harless to the enemy.... That's why I leave it only in rec mode and count only on chaff and evasive actions. So I was wondering what is the normal employment doctrine for the Jammer in RL against different threats.. BR..

Ejoying the UFC as a fantastic center piece in the cockpit. also the hdg/crs panel, the master arm panel and the hmd panel (witch is the master arm printed in reverse). rest of prints are from openhornet. glareshield is fiberglassed cardboard ready for paint. The UFC panel buttons need to visit the paint booth, for now it is just a quickly printed legend in it...

Hi, I would say it would not be such a bad idea. I like it although, I dont consider it as a top priority in any way but it might be a nice addition. What we do with some friends, when we CARQUAL, if somebody wants coaching, he will share his screen via Discord and we will then see what he sees. We even checked with one flying in VR and me looking at his stream on Discord on the cellphone. It works too but hard to see what's on the DDI and stuff and also quite shaky (VR output) So yes coaching can be done even without a D but 2 men cockpits are so fun, We enjoy the Tomcat too much and also now the Huey in multi crew, not to forget the Albatros or the C101... So why not, but again, not the most important thing in the to-do list I guess....

So sad that updates or fixes are breaking down so often what was already done in A/A radar. While focus is on less essential A/G radar (is so with use of modern ordinance and pod) I could only wish the A/A part could at least be somewhat on spot and bug free. That's a bigger priority TBH... (sorry if it looks like ranting, not my usual doing normaly)

same. lost antenna elev in TWS. even turning radar off and back on didnt solve it. bindings checked in the adjust controls menu, all fine there... next mission it was working dine again so I m not sure of the sequence to reproduce the glitch -
I got some new switches to play with. they click nicelly and audibly. they are also backlit if I want to go that route too... 2 models present and I can easely fit the smallest one in the button openings the larger ones requires some changes in Brun's design so I ll leave them for another project...

correct as-is first time AZ/EL selection on A/A master mode

Yes, that works out that way, go A/A, stores page on the left DDI, SCS left will take U to AZEL. if I select again the store page (via ddi buttons) and go SCS left again, it stays on stores not going to AZEL anymore. I guess it's because I reselected a priority page like stores or FLIR... If I select HUD or FUEL or MIDS or whatever other less essential page for A/A while in A/A, SCS left brings me back to AZEL indeed but not if it's stores page. So on first selection of A/A with stores on left DDI, it does the switch but if I manually selected stores beforehand, it will not transfer to AZEL with SCS left. I see the logic but still needs time to fully assimilate it lol -
FSSB force and curves settings?

Thanks guys, thatvs a good start. Will try those settings andd see how it goes. I agree with the comment saying that in dcs, flight models are simulated to be the closest with no curve and I dont have any on the f14 or f18 but this fssb being a different animal.... Thanks anyway. Will check those settings. Any Nasa for pitch too? BR -
hey guys, what should be the best setting of force to set in the stick program and the curves to set within DCS to mimic the best the jet? standard factory forces in the fssb seems high making the jet feels slugish so I dialed them down. Also I m with negative curves and some saturation to makes it more alive but... what will be a realistic curve and force profile? Thanks BR

landed once in Poland with the 737-400 where the qnh was 1052mb. the standby altimeter we had could be set only to max 1050mb. We just added 60ft to what he was saying. lol -

yes, could have gone with less infill but was unsure of some overhang versus solidity of print so... I dont remember about the UFC file but some print shows a faster time if filled 100% in Cura instead of 50 or 60%. I m still testing a lot of settings as I m new to printing but the parameters above made sense to me and the result is what I wanted... I m using the switches that Brun is using but I wanna tey something else too. found these, they are on the way: http://www.honyone.com/en/products/show_104.html Just might have to revise the way to fix it to the ufc casing... Honyone (sic) is the button brand used by Virpil too, so I have confidence in these... Will see.
