It’s a D model so there will have to be Radar eventually. My guess is they wanted it released by Christmas 2021, so they were targeting a sort of “A” version in EA that will become the D within a couple years. 30 mike, semi active hellfire, plus the ihadss, pnvs, and tads are what I want anyways, which Is why I always asked for an A model because that’s I believe your basic a model stuff plus the rockets. D model goodies are just icing on my dream cake. I’ve already spent plenty of time in the arma 2 and 3 realism mods which are helpful only in some tactical ideas. But I’ve been drooling for a full fidelity dcs Apache for years now. This and the Kiowa are the sort of things that’ll make me get into multiplayer. Buddy lazing and battlefield control is where it’s at. The Kiowa will be cool on its own as a laser marker for jets. But since you can do it with the Apache that’s just extra coolness. Plus I think once we get the D model toys I *think* it can just upload targeting information to awacs or other jets.

Someone front me some wealth. I’m gonna go bankrupt in this hobby lol

My 2 cents: All I want for my beloved Huey is a Graphics and sound overhaul for it(and aren’t the mini guns supposed to mount further back next to the rockets?). I want some improved rotorblade fwap fwap fwaps in my headset lmao As to new variants, I’d much prefer a uh60 with dynamic campaign or at least a broad range of transport and recovery missions

[CORRECT AS IS]Question about Trim controls, not sure if bug or feature
S. Low replied to S. Low's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Awesome thanks for the info everyone -
Regardless of which trim keybinds I use, the stick trimhat or the wheels on the left console, when I press my trim button it moves those wheels. So my concern/question is should the Stick, Hotas, Flight controller TRIM BUTTON keybind be moving the TRIM wheels on the left console as well as the trimhat on the stick? That doesn't seem right. And then if that's not supposed to happen, my question becomes is computing a double-input of trim? Or is it just a graphical error?

Throttle - OFF/IDLE: Doesn't stay in off position
S. Low replied to S. Low's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Oh, ok now I understand. Thanks for the clarification. -
Ah, thank you for this tip!

Well that's not our fault now is it? Maybe their marketing guy should make the Steam sale announcement as clear as the ED store sale.

Throttle - OFF/IDLE: Doesn't stay in off position
S. Low replied to S. Low's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I don't understand this explanation, but I'll take your word for it. I've got it mapped out for separate buttons now, off and idle. Works. I was just hoping for the ease of a toggle. Thanks :D -
So Steam doesn't get an Autumn Sale??? I'm cornfused. Does ED want my money or not lol :D

It's the 22nd. No sale yet. Later in the day perhaps?

[EARLY ACCESS IS A LONG PROCESS]F-16C Forgotten about again
S. Low replied to Droning_On's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
No, not really. Though I just got the F-16. But that's kind of my point. I'm still collecting. I don't have infinite funds so when a sale comes along, provided I've budgeted enough, and I want the module, I pick it up. Then it takes me awhile to really learn the module and be able to apply it properly. Then because I simply cannot fit all of the realistic detail of every module in my brain at once, whenever I learn a new full fidelity module, another one slips completely out. So if I get tired of the F-16, I can either get a completely new module (like maybe the A-10, F-5, etc) or I can just revisit one I really like. Such as the F-18, or Mirage. I'm sure I'll have gripes at some point about the F-16, just like I've had with the F-14 at times, but ultimately I doubt I'll feel like ED is abandoning one of these flag-ship modules. They've committed to these products more than just about any other gaming company I've ever seen. I really can't fathom this thought process, it's too short-sighted. No offense intended. But look at the product quality and offerings available within 3 years. Dates per Steam - In this time they've added the F-18, F-16, third party F-14, Persian Gulf map, Syria map, A-10 II, Blackshark II, third party Channel map, P-47, third party JF-17, Super Carrier, third party I-16, third party MiG-19P, Christen Eagle, Aviojet, Mig-29, Yak-52, Normandy map and assets, Viggen, Spitfire, Nevada map, M-2000, plus core updates, bug fixes, and on and on. Edit: And the poster above me has been here for 16 years. Sixteen. YEARS. Surely you can step back and see the quality? -
I have throttle - off/idle bound to a modified keybind on my throttle (modifier + button). The command works just fine to bring throttle from OFF to IDLE. But I just noticed while trying to shut down that the throttle won't return to OFF and stay there. When I press the keybind and HOLD it, the throttle will stay in off position, but as soon as I let go of my keybind the throttle returns to IDLE position. Is this the intended functionality of the keybind? Seems to me it should be a toggle between the OFF and IDLE position.
