  1. Get the design right as in design to manufacture and get the Chinese to manufacture it. God bless our Chinese brethren foe low cost off shore manufacture and cheap electronics.
  2. There was a program for the F-15C called something like MPCD or something like ultra mfd. (http://qopru.com/mfcdfc3/) And Capt Zeen used it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138409 It may help but I havnt used this since Lomac days.
  3. +5000 for GR4 although still in service in Saudi. Cannot believe such a beast was only sold to Saudi outside of the partners, would have thought countries would have been queuing up for some twin engined, multi-role swing wing goodness. Best plane every!! But I helped build them so biased much....
  4. Nice, are those milled on a CNC?
  5. Thanks Blue, just ordered some, will give me something to try when they rock up!
  6. Added the inputs i am going to use, the internal lighting panel will probably be a beer holder. Pictures are a bit shit, must be the man flu I am suffering.... Need to do the Oxygen flow and fire test and I think thats it for now. The rest will be just photos until I need to implement them.
  7. Any chance a kind member would visit ebay.com.au and point me at a MAX487 - they seem to be $15 for a single chip when the bloody nano is only $8.
  8. Try posting in Input and Output, I’m not sure if they venture in here but there are a few sim tools users.
  9. Nice work, what holds the collective in place, friction?
  10. No VR for a while for me. I just want to understand what builders are thinking when they wire up panels with Bios, put switches on everything regardless of its implementation or select only the ones the simulator uses.
  11. And today I started the Right side panels in a production line! I transferred the Natops to Corel and tidied them up before turning them back into PDF and printed. These are not 100% accurate, they are NATOPS at about 400%. Cut them out and drew around them onto acrylic. Cut them all out with a scroll saw: Prep for drilling: I did the same with the backplates and used the front plates as guides so they all line up: And finally all three together: I was going to carry on but I dont want to wire everything up if it isnt all used. However, it can be easily added later if it becomes functional. If you take out I wont be backlighting my pit so I dont need internal lights, are these the only controls needed: As far as I can tell only these are working
  12. I moved house and now have a room! So I have started to do a bit more work on my 'Pit'. I am working on the front panel, I have a touch screen that will sit in the middle of a monitor and contain the UFC, the HUD panel and armaments and the Moving Map Display.
  13. That is awesome!
  14. Nice one, two 3D print threads to make me want a 3D printer! Has anyone worked out how many Nano slaves you need for each side or do you just plan on using one per panel regardless of filling the Nano up?
  15. Developing over 1 year, little information....don’t leave us hanging man!
  16. Is anyone supporting UltraMFDC anymore, I found it much easier than fiddling with the lua myself, especially with 3 screens! I know nothing about programming but is it open source or is someone able to take up the mantle to make it F/A-18C compatible?
  17. How easy is the slew mod as a complete mong at things?
  18. Im thinking of hardwiring this voice commands option into my sons XBOX, then when he randomly loses it and the neighbours can hear him shout "FCUK" at the top of his voice, his XBOX will shut down. Thanks for the suggestion. How do you tell voice commands what to do, do you just record F1-F12 and "Backspace" into viacom and map it to F1-12 / etc?
  19. Bloody hell, was that how long ago BS1 was out! I think it had one of largest switch sequences to start up! Good luck with the pit Gipsy, i think its a tough one but a great start!!
  20. Looking very good, keep going!!
  21. Thanks guys, I did the comparison, they must all price match hey! Mwave was mostly the cheapest although I would save $100 buying the GPU and MOBO from Newegg plus GST. Would save $150 by splitting it across Mwave, Newegg, Umart, PC Case Gear and MSY. Still $2360 though, may have to rethink priorities!
  22. Hello, For our Aussie viewers, where do you buy your PC components from? I used to buy from MSY when I was living in the city and had a couple of stores. Im not rural now by any stretch (Newcastle NSW) but there are no 'chain' stores here so I have been looking at MWave. "virtual built" my new rig with Mwave then saw that some parts from Newegg(US) were cheaper overall saved about $300 switching parts to newegg where they were cheaper. Has anyone purchased from Newegg? I dont want to get hit with a GST claim for importing goods making the overall rig more expensive. Also, MSY or Mwave, any others you aussies recommend to look at?? Thanks.
  23. Probably post on input and output (the level above this forum). You probably want Helios mark 2 and Capt Zeens assistance.
