  1. Stunning, hope you enjoy flying it now!
  2. Nice, how do you adapt the raspberry pi screen to run off DCS?
  3. This just popped up on a forum I use: https://www.talosavionics.com/product/flysense-hud/ I thought initially it was for flight sims but seems it’s for real flight. Do you think it’s any use for rich simmers or not even worth the sum of the parts needed to make your own. Obviously VR makes it even more pointless! $2.5k by the way!!!!
  4. Mind blowing!!
  5. Mate that’s perfect! Ps I preferred that Hotas to my warthog, don’t mind the warthog at all but I loved my Saitek!! The Throttle slew is better than the hog any day!
  6. It was destined for me! My company shares came out of the closed period, then dropped 30% and my crypto got to the $2800 mark enough to but the new rig and they crashed to $200!! Hopefully when one or the other or both go up a bit this gap in GPU will be closed!
  7. Nah I don’t think Wags is a PC connoisseur, probably got a similar budget to many on here. I don’t think you will get a straight answer mate, the biggest consensus is a SSD is a must, >16gb ram. The next depends on your screen, I run a 2600k at 3.8mhz with an older GPU and because I play on a 28” 1920x1080 monitor it runs fine for me. Again it depends on your budget. Ps yes, very confusing! I was all set with my new rig on paper until they stopped making the 1080ti!
  8. Because there are so many choices, budgets, uses and opinions?
  9. One of the A-10 apps has a freeware version with fewer functions afaik on the iPhone App Store.
  10. I think its aluminium extrusion T channel or something. Cant find anywhere local in aus either, just wholesalers.
  11. Nice addition to the sim world! Looks well made and infinitely useful for all summers!! Great work.
  12. I vote for this, a bit like autostart. I don’t mind the realism in combat but sometimes the transition time, start up and taxi and perhaps even Case 1 recovery as well as refuelling. It just an option, you can choose to use it or not, makes the sims more available IMO is a good thing.
  13. https://www.bbc.com/reel/video/p06tmhm7/the-surprising-benefit-of-flying-a-virtual-war-plane BBC Reel with a company using DCS to assist with combat stress! I play PC Games and Sims to de-stress so why not?!
  14. Agree with this, when I get mine working I used 4 screens to try and make it look different. Have the 2 top MFDs and 2 engine panels below them on 1 22 inch monitor and then on the top I have a box with a USB3 monitor for the Map MFD and a small one for the UFC. I liked the idea of having the UFC further out and I am hoping to make that map useful by increasing its size substantially.
  15. Has anyone got a drawing of a landing gear handle that I could covert to Sketchup? I want a handle that will light up/flash red and with a stalk that will fit over a standard toggle switch that I can use a grub screw. A guy at work has said he would print one for me and would probably design it too if I could give him an idea of the size of one. I know a few people have designed ones for a-10 and f/a-18 with the led holders in them, I could probably add the tube to fit over a toggle switch. Any assistance would be appreciated!
  16. Are you after making a sim pit? Simplest way is probably to get a 2nd monitor at 23" put one of CaptZeens Helios templates on it. If you are after exact measurements I think Deadman has an actual A-10 cockpit, search function may help but you will need to do lots of searching. There is a place called dogfightboss who sells plans and a corrugated plastic version. Hopefully someone will be along to help you!
  17. Is there not an "and" function in LUA? No idea btw.
  18. Awesome, compact and all in one place! Love it.
  19. On topic, is the parking break a printed cap on a standard switch or have you also engineered a pull twist switch for that too?
  20. Yes if I can get away from work, cant wait to see them flying around up here, I worked on the project in the UK whilst it was still a paper specification and cannot believe there are now so many flying. I dont have a good camera so photos will be of limited quality to what will be available on line after their arrival. Mining industry is really stepping up in the Hunter, I have applied for a job at one of the mines! Sorry off topic :-)
  21. Excuse my ignorance but the only use I have found for the bleed air knob is to rotate it 360. What other uses does it need after startup?
  22. Thats awesome, I saw ALDI had some 3D printers on sale for $300, not a good time right now for me to buy with a new house, redundancies at work and a UK holiday but looking at your work is really making me think of a printer purchase next! Also, it gets so hot over here with a hat for track IR and big headphones I was thinking of actually putting those air vents to proper use.
  23. You will need 3 VGA ports to run these, do you have them spare??
  24. That Jettison Button is awesome, nice design, I couldnt figure out how to make one and that is perfect! Nice one.
