I've heard bad things about CA in VR so would not be inclined to get it until those are addressed. Hope it's not needed to steer the Supercarrier, in any case.

Just found this one because I hit the emergency brake by accident on a cold start and couldn't figure out why I couldn't steer. Guess it would be an expensive mistake, though perhaps the default binding would be a keybind instead of a mouse action since some other switches are nearby and wouldn't be nearly the same muscle motion to twist out the landing gear handle as flicking a switch.

There's also a reason airspeed and AOA were added to the HUD. :P

Yeah I was looking. Hopefully soon. I want the Forrestal more than the A, though some high viz VF-84 would be right up my alley, too.

Some great info in here. I vary back and forth to wanting a full blown pit and something more inconspicuous. Definitely looking to build at least a button box out two but have a saw, plywood and MDF and a 3d printer and know how to solder so may see what I can do. Playing in VR so exact replica and HUD, functional screens and gauges aren't as necessary. May cheat and print 4 x MFD frames for how the dream ST 21 may have resembled with the most iconic gauges like the AoA and wing sweep, fuel represented with most of the switches from the left and right consoles present. Will consider the VKB stick but probably going to stay with the MCG Pro and Virpil throttle. Highest on my list would be functional landing gear and hook levers among with the turning display controls. Fantasy land endgoal world be a functional motorized wing sweep handle, if not auto throttle.

None of the screenshots from VR blow up my skirt, though these are are my favorites so far, especially the latter. Successful trap after splashing some Sukhoi and MiGs...

Which version of the throttle? I have the v3 with the 3d printed detent and I'm inverted with curve set to -25 and seems good enough to me. I was at -20 bit the afterburner kept "sticking" on the right engine when coming off back to mil power. Still notice to some degree and chalking it up to the removed connection sensor since the right throttle is sometimes slightly ahead of the left

Yes, am using VR so that answers it, thanks. Any fix for the A4 picture? I like flying the little guy so can live with it. Neither of these were deal breakers, really more oddities.

Have you tried voice attack? Should be capable of all that. I'm still getting familiar with it but need to compare against Bailey's profile since might already have these, though easy to add your own. Is a good list. Gonna go down it and add if any are missing.

I was testing my extension and was a PITA to get one #50 on, and was way too light and didn't really want to wrestle with the second one. Might have tried a #30 but wasn't confident in my mounting so went back to the desk plate with two #30s for now but will be facing this again soon.

1) "Jester menu camera" was checked. Unchecked, did a mission, no change, checked again did a mission, no change. 2) Hmm, well I installed that first. I guess I could take it out of the folder but why would the F-14 be affected and not the F-18?

I'm still contemplating the upgrade. The spring tool alone might tip me over the edge lol. I made my own but not nearly as comfortable to use.

Couple graphical issues I've been noticing. Unlike videos I see, I have no picture of Jester in his menu (it's blank). Same with Iceman. Everything else seems to work. Secondly, when all my missions launch, I see a picture of the community A-4 and not the F-14. Hornet missions show the F/A-18C... I had the A-4 installed first if that matters. Anyone see these?

Think I'm going to switch to PTT to avoid bad commands from other people, music, etc. Was flying nicely along and heard Hester respond to something I couldn't hear through the vr headphones lol

Is the data gone? IOW, will I be able to watch this track at some point or is it just replaced/gone because of this bug? I had my first successful trap on a carrier (boltered 3 times because I forgot to put the hook down!) and was hoping to watch it but yeah went into the water. I didn't remember that happening... Also splashed two SU-27 after a launch from the carrier waist catapult on a mission, so would like to see that again, too.

Ah yeah that seemed to do it for the disconnect map thing. I didn't do assisted startup, but need to remember to try that next time. Thanks! Requesting takeoff said it was missing the file, but I thought I copied those. Didn't hear anything, so reverted to menus by habit, on approach. Didn't recognize my navigation commands, either.

First impression is good. I can connect power and air. When I use "disconnect everything" it does disconnect but view goes external to the freeway outside Vegas lol. Jester isn't hearing my checks though VA says it's recognized in yellow and haven't gotten really any external comms to work yet.

I'd pay for a VR optimized F-14D. I am hoping for a cleaner official cockpit option for A and B.

Yeah saw that guy post somewhere recently (Reddit?) and linked to Youtube. For that much money, it should have auto throttle and be powered and talk to DCS Bios or something like that, but he said it doesn't do either). Looks cool, but yeah no. I was hoping someone would do the throttles in Blender or something so I could 3d print them. Someone did the stick but both VKB and Virpil already have sticks. At this point, I kinda want F-14D versions more than F-14A since there's a few more controls...

My training missions in Nevada are always cold start and landing for practice with some various air and ground targets in between. Making a campaign out of it. Have Nevada 101 without any weapons. 102, with some different waypoints and some cannon ammunition, 201 with solo and no weapons and aerial refueling practice. 202 with a wingman. 301 solo with easy air to air (MiG-21). 302 wingman air to air. Planning 330 with ground targets and 350 with multiple air and ground targets with full 400 & 450 with a combination starting with half fuel and 500 with 1/3 fuel and MiG-29 and SU-27 replacing the MiG-21 and SU-25's. For fun I've set up a mission ready on the cats with some SU-27 and SU-33 floating around but probably won't get serious with the missions until the Supercarrier and/or Forrestal is out (and by then I'll be brave enough to try something other than the Instant Action Case I trap.

I won't forget now! lol. Of course, I've done it enough that I won't be doing Assisted Startup that much longer, either.

Jester wouldn't know if I did that or not, I guess but arguably should he a step on Assisted Startup.

I'm thinking Jester should either mention that after the canopy comes down (or before)... or laugh at me when we're taxiing by asking if I want to breathe or not.
