  1. If you realy realy realy want a working data cartridge and a plane that dont miss any featurs and has less bugs than F-16 features, than i recommend you the JF-17 Thunder by Deka or the Viggen ;)
  2. You have to set com2 to channel 199 and activate Master mode (or Slave if some else is allready in mast mode) to have datalink. Otherwise it wont work.
  3. I think the BRM has the more powerfull warhead cuz the BRM has a caliber of 90mm and the APKWS just 70mm. Also the curent BRM sheme is just a placeholder until ED realese the APKWS sheme (Wich isnt out yet). It will be implemented into the BRM.
  4. 1) Aus dem Handbuch der Flanker: 2) Im dem Track trifft dich die erste Rakete nicht weil sie nicht genug Energie hatte um deiner Kurve zu folgen. Die 2 Rakete hat dich laut Track erwischt ganz einfach weil du fast genau der entgegen geflogen bist. Wie hätte die dich auch bitte verfehlen sollen ? 3) Die 120er wurden im TWS modus abgefeuert. Im Gegensatz zur Flanker brauchte die Viper keinen harten Lock um seine Rakete auf dich zu lenken. Alles was die Viper braucht ist zu wissen wo du bist da die 120 ihren eignen Suchkopf hat und sich selbst im Endteil seiner Flugbahn, sich ins Ziel lenken kann. Sobald die Aim120 ihren Radar aktiviert, erhälst du auch die Missile Launch Warnung. Meine Tipps für dich: 1. Wenn der Gegner seine Richtung ändert, so hat er wahrscheinlich auf dich gefeuert. Halte die Augen nach den Kondenzstreifen der Rakete ausschau. Die waren deutlich zu sehen bei seinen 2 Raketen. 2. Du brauchst Hitzefackeln auf der Entfernung nicht abzuwerfen da deren hitzesuchenden Raketen keine so große Reichweite haben (Sind aber dafür entsprechend wendiger). 3. Lern wie man Missiles besiegen kann. Spieziell das Notchen. Ich empfehle dir dies Guide zu lesen. 4. Hol dir TacView und analysiere jeden Flug. Ich hoffe ich konnte dir helfen. Viel Glück bei deinen nächsten Kämpfen, du wirst es brauchen ;) PS: Die überschrift ist falsch. Das war ein BVR (beyond visual range) Kampf und kein BFM (basic fighter manuever) Kampf.

  13. The BRM-1 90mm is a laser guided weapon like APKWS. It has it seeker at the front and not at the back like beam riding missiles. The UG 90MM is the same like BRM-1 but unguided and the BRU-33 -2 Lau-68 - 7 2.75 rockets MK5 are just unguided Hydra 70

That mean you cant create weapon liveries and you have to edit them in the DCS core wich will break IC.

  18. A flyable Starfighter in DCS ? Who want a plane with a turnradius bigger than New York ? Its just a very fast rocket with 2 sidewinders made to intercept bombers. It cant stand any fight against any other fighters. Over Vietnam the MiG never realy have to fight them, they just sat themself at there six and wait until they run out of fuel. The Starfighter nerver got a kill over Vietnam. Over germany the Starfighter made a secruity recorde, 269 crashes and 116 dead pilots. Who want a plane that is extremly hard to fly and can noting beside being fast ?
