  2. Its kind of stupid that radars are used to lock targets for a heatseeker missile coming from SAM. Take the SA-8 for example, no need to lock a target and announce your presence to their RWR. It could be that radar needs info on target range, bearing, speed, aspect angle etc.. but for most IR SAMs in this game, a simple track and shoot with optical sensors is much more deviant and closer to real life (not a real life serviceman, whistling dixie). If you saw the Saudi F-15 shot at by a SAM, the pilot did not release flares as he did not know he was painted by a radar, and we know what was tracking him, a FLIR scoop.
  3. I have my X and Y set as 30/100/30/0 top to bottom per A-10s stock TDC. I find this to be particularly slow for changing settings on the radar screen as per the new 0.8 sec touch around the peripheral settings like azimuth, range, SIL, etc... Can anyone recommend something faster yet retains precision when inside the radar zone? Settings wise?

  10. Ok that confirms it then guys. So that tail rotor pitch limiter has nothing to do with autopilot rudder authority. Why is it there?
  11. I dont think so. I guess its the oxygen mask I dont see any attachment to the radio box.
  12. see my problem is removing my feet while heading hold is engaged causes the helo to act. I am taljing also about the red button above the radio on the pedestal.

  14. shouldnt overspeeding carrier have its front tilted up like any speeding boat, thus AoA will be much higher and compounded as opposed to a parked carrier?
  15. Do I trim for course, keep leg on rudder, then engage heading hold, then remove my feet off rudder? OR Do I trim for course and all the above AND keep my leg on rudder too? Also what does the red button thing for rudder autopilot testing do? How should it be set before takeoff? Does it alleviate the need for foot on pedals?
  16. Do you guys find the Spitfires clock a bit difficult to scoot and read? with oxygen mask thing hiding its left 1/4? can ED move that mask hose a bit more towards the left wall? or even towards the back? I always have to wind it to 3,30 just to escape the left side being behind the wall.

  18. I still have iControlDCS. That used to have CDU, UFC, MFCDs and general startup buttons and basic controls. I dont think the developer updated it but since I used it on iPad2 there is an option to rollback to latest compatible version to your iOS.
  19. On landing back at base so I will set a trigger zone to activate say an hour into the mission and once unit is detected inside it, it shall prompt the wind reciprocal by request thru F10 radio. Thanks a bunch man!
  20. Isnt that the third mission? before the Geologists? I tried it today and unhooked slowly inside the four tires. I passed it.

  23. there is already a mil- AB button map. Its called throttle range in controls.
