  1. This thing is not even half finished!
  2. Yeah that too lots of variables need to be in the GUI for mission makers
  3. I agree. we need also a distinction between magnetic heading and true heading for the ships compass (I assume the ships navigation suite is GPS/GLONASS/INS in addition to the regular magnetic compass not counting mag declination)
  4. they are not designed for hands off flying...
  5. hello and welcome onboard. when I started DCS (flaming cliffs 2.x) in 2009 I had a thrustmaster tflight hotas x. Mind you I was flying perfectly the blackshark module (standalone, early build) using this same stick. Then I transitioned to CH Products in 2012 and kept flying with them until 2015 when I bought the TMWH (by then I was flying the A-10C). Then the warthog developed issues and I reverted back to CH from 2019 to 2023. Recently I got involved with electrical stuff and got around to fixing my warthog stick. My advice to you is, buy ANY stick as long as you don't factor user reviews. I recommend CH products if you want something that works and has functionality and impeccable user support. followed by thrustmaster. For rudder I used the CH pro rudder and then transitioned to MFG Crosswind in 2017 (still use it to this day). Both are of great build and good for DCS but MFG has A LOT of travel and precision (2048 on the center mark. to this day) For your problems I suspect you have a conflicting axis bind somewhere in the axes settings of the F-18C module. How to tell? If one row of one control (for example pitch) has two entries this is the cause of your problem). Normally when you purchase ANY DCS module, the first thing to do (mantra) is to clear category in both axis controls drop down and all but axis controls drop down. Then you know for fact that your controller is totally unassigned and not conflicting with another. You might want to invest in a tablet (unless you already have one). Sorry for this very long passage but it goes without saying I want to genuinely help you as a newcomer. Enjoy your stay and see you online when you are ready!
  6. this looks like CADC failure. what was the winds aloft in this mission?
  7. I agree. Antivirus is bad for performance.
  8. Hi Nineline. In regards to the spotting dots mod, and referencing your reply with the passing IC (client is pure no server boot)

I am playing on 3840*1080 and the dots do not appear from further since your latest update (Sinai release).

I am trying to use the mod so I think you guys need to let it pass IC.

Also, I would like line 33 from viewportHandle lua file concerned with kneeboard size to also pass IC. I resized the kneeboard to fit my monitor and every update the game rewrites this file. If I change it it does not pass IC. Please make line 33 concerned with position and sizing of kneeboard editable and not violating the IC.

    Thanks

  9. no the logical minds would: 1- disable windows auto update 2- not use antivirus in the first place 3- when finished, disconnect the wifi/LAN cable/ swallow SIM card
  10. just relax and enjoy the game. its a game after all.
  11. We need a Mark Felton on this one
  12. I don't focus on the value I focus on the outcome so I can probably unwrap a chocolate bar or pour a cup of tea with a climbing attitude leveled with rudder (no bank)
  13. pinnacle landings... only if dcs surfaces support it..
  14. Exactly what happens here wow no need for tracks here, eh ED
  15. almost all ww2 aircraft are made to fly stick and rudder. There is no A-10C one button stand up go make a sandwich solution. Also, the ball flying is the best because it teaches you about coordinated flying, a critical skill most people don't focus on in simulators.
  16. any progress on this, ED?
  17. I like it. In fact, I think because it is underpowered make you become a better pilot. I have killed Spitfires, Jugs, P-51s in multiplayer on 4YA servers. The only problem with it is the range. You have to be very fuel conscious to stay up in the order of 1hr-1hr.30mins. It just guzzles gas. I prefer its silhouette to that of the Mustang and the Spitfire. The flaps are electric, the gears are lockable with the stick no need to remember like the 109. It also has a lot of ground pounding toys and the Br21 Werfergranate.
  18. The small dots representing planes far away disappear now after turning head around to look towards them. This happened right after this update. Also the small dots used to stretch into better dark blobs on my curved 49 inch now they dont. Has there been any change in the spotting dots logic or representation? Also does deleting fxo and metacheddars sort this? Because I deleted them and yet they still exist
  19. Maybe proof? No I paid the artefacts to show up on the video to start a thread and tarnish the product the only way I retain tracks on my drive is to be on the beta testers team. Since I am not, the requirement for a track seems odd. At least to a casual layman dont you think. I think I drove my point home.
  20. I don't know the problem with these Spitfire drivers. Are they THAT senseless?
  21. Now we get the canned: No plans to upgrade Mi-8 model at present Not planned to include this unrealistic feature Stock Mi-8 has no external fuel tanks capability Slava a trainee
  22. Natasha Morozova's voice is the best This is a jet landing at Sochi-Adler airbase carrying evidence of cluster munitions dispenser of the type KMGU during scramble exercise
  23. then we need this in DCS. It should be in the module as an option.
  24. just a tip don't change views while in replay you will damage the file. In fact don't change views while playing. stay full track in one camera otherwise it goes awry.
