Easy to fix. First run a "cleanup" and then run a "repair" and you have a complete cleaned installation.

There is absolutely no point in removing all and installing «clean».

Select The default «low» settings on The options page and test. Then adjust features up or down accordingly. Mirrors off!

Yes it is not working very good. Have you tried to taxi really slow and be very accurate in the middle of the taxiway all the time. During turns it is very important to slow down to a crawl.

No. It have been normal for ED to test the module on OpenBeta before release. One module that is not working as expected can crash DCS back to desktop and other nasty stuff. I'm pretty sure ED will test every new module thoroughly by introducing them on the OpenBeta branch.

Yes. I don't know the extent of their cooperation but it seams the SoYouStart business is using some older servers or at least some other rack configuration. I believe they also have a different network interface to Internet. My experience with OVH is much better than with SoYouStart but that may have changed as it is some years ago I used SoYouStart. Check out the forums. :thumbup:

Yes, if you have installed 2.5 openbeta the "normal" way using the installer the 2.5 release installer will copy your openbeta files and install the new release folders. You can safely uninstall 1.5.8 if you don't play it or need it to look at older missions etc. EDIT: But keep a copy of the saved games settings in the DCS folder as there you have all your Input files.

No it does not. Download the installer and install, it will copy files needed from your OpenBeta.

I would recommend this one for a squad or shared between two squads. SP-64 https://www.ovh.com/world/dedicated-servers/enterprise/ Look at the speed you get and also the disks, memory etc. This is a much better deal but it costs a bit more than the SoYouStart server. Disks are 6x faster than SSD.

And while I'm at it. SoYouStart have (or at least used to have) a bad net speed. Check the forum for status on that one, they may have upgraded. OVH have had 500MBps steady every time I tested. So you get what you pay for even here ;)

MARK! And I believe SoYouStart charges a first time installation fee. OVH does not.
