  1. Sounds more like a headset issue than a software one. I run my Aero in Turbo mode with good results.
  2. Good question...
  3. Monster Tech also has extended mounts for this. However I have both, have a Monster Tech extended mount with a VKB stick and 200 mm extension, and now my newer Virpil CM3 stick with 200mm extension mounted on a Virpil Desk Mount. Both desk mounts are quite good with the Virpil being somewhat cheaper I think and likely more readily available.
  4. I run the Virpil CM3 gimbal with their Alpha Prime metal grip. Love the combination. The CM3 bases are designed more for mounting to desk using extensions. I use mine with 200mm extension.
  5. Just never mind, apparently we are on two totally different pages with this one.
  6. Lol that guy working it hard for Pimax!
  7. Of course I read the thread. Guess I must have misunderstood your statement? It seemed to me you were referring to the PC Gamer.
  8. Apple's design is not for the PC gaming market. It never was stated or marketed as such. Remember, it is Apple. They are looking at beyond PC VR gaming. Only time will tell how successful it will be for them.
  9. I look forward to all the "how do I get this to work on my PC" threads...
  10. Ok good deal. I suspect you may have flashed an incorrect firmware but best to let them get you sorted. I have certainly done it before.
  11. 1: If you are talking within DCS, you chose the wrong modifier. Look more carefully for the one on the left I believe it is. 2: Likely bad calibration, be sure and calibrate all axis in the Virpil software. Also insure you have flashed with the correct firmware for the grip.
  12. Interesting I would view the Apple device to be quite a different market than the Quest device.
  13. Pretty sure Horizon Worlds is on it's death bed. Zuck keeps trying to create a market where there is none and then other big players try to follow them into the abyss. Not a bad strategy but not always easy to accomplish.
  14. I could not even imagine doing that. Pretty sure at this point after the last few years if I could not fly in VR I just would no longer fly period.
  15. This...
  16. There are some pretty knowledgeable folks over on the Virpil forums that can be quite helpful with this.
  17. Launch the game from the MT shortcut.
  18. Open XR. Why? I can run DCS with dynamic foveated rendering/eye tracking using @mbucchia 's wrapper for the Aero. Please do not do anything to change this (quad view which Aero supports in Open XR). Made a big difference for me in performance allowing me to crank up graphics nicely.
  19. Yeah been running mine vsync locked to 45 fps in VB for a while now and loving it, also no reprojection. And now DFR with eye tracking really tops it off.
  20. The Aero does not shut itself off but does go into a sleep mode where just a dark screen with a bit of backlight. I use smart plugs for my headset and trackers and power them on and off through an app on my cell phone. Plus I have it set to turn off at 8:00 in the evening as a safe guard in case I ever forget. There has been an instance of burn in where Varjo replaced the headset in question, but it was left on overnight with a flight sim still active in the headset - user had set it down for a bit and forgot about it. According to Varjo they have left them on for quite some time with just the default backlight and no issues. I still would power mine off when not in use though.
  21. Not disable MSAA itself, just the mask size feature of it - un-enable that in the VR settings. Your DFR will take care of the rest. I actually increased my MSAA ;from 2x to 4x after implementing the DFR feature.
  22. Are you running DFR with eye tracking for the Aero with DCS? If so you should disable the MSAA mask size in DCS. If not - you should give it a try.
  23. Oculus has always done a better job than the others on reprojection with their ASW. Certainly can not fault them when it comes to that.
  24. Yeah back when I was running my G2 I never could get used to the 60 Hz mode, was just too swimmified or something for me. I gave the original Quest with Link a go back when I had it and it seemed fine at 72 Hz. 60 I think is just a tad too low for me.
  25. Yeah after getting my Aero I had my Reverb G2 sold in minutes at a decent price. Amazing how popular that headset is still to this day.
