  1. Odd that SIL dropped the STT without activating. The track itself did not drop. Outside of that I don't see an issue.
  2. Did the Flanker track indicate jamming? "J" next to the HAFU symbol. The radar is still scanning in SIL, the B-sweep actually shouldn't be frozen as it is in DCS.
  3. Has no effect on detection as it only activates when you are targeted in a STT.
  4. For the last time, Viper =! Hornet and Hornet =! Viper. The F-16s limitations are due to power distribution issues. Small single engine fighter with a powerful external jammer needs to give up some power resources to feed said jammer. The -184 is not a -99 The Hornet "Radar/Jammer *Filter Priority* " is automatically set to radar PRI for AMRAAM and Sparrow launches, or if manual radar channel operation is selected. "*Jammer priority causes auto radar channel selection.*" This is so they stay out of each other's way. Actually the DCS Hornet right now can finally use the ASPJ and radar simultaneously. Another thing that was left out of the patch notes with STT exit no longer dumping the track.
  5. Known bug, workaround is to set POS/GPS. Completely illogical, but it works.
  6. As I understand it RADAR capability shouldn't be affected whatsoever. The only thing that would change (forcing of automatic radar channels) isn't possible in DCS anyway. (No radar freq simulation, nor channel functions) There's certain circumstances where the jammer is dealing with multiple threats across multiple frequencies to the point the radar can't get out of the way, but again that can't be modeled in DCS yet. (At least ED hasn't worked on it) So for current implementation levels ED could have a randomizer whether the radar is affected or not when the ASPJ is working on 3 or more threats within the radar FOV.
  7. Yes, but these are AOTs from jammers. The radar dosen't emit, but the reciever is still energized to receive incoming radar emissions. Hence the onboard track.
  8. What's the underlying issue? Can't open the post. The L+S designation/stepping with WoW is actually correct if that's what it's talking about.
  9. In the mission check the messages history.
  10. Maybe 40% complete due to everything that's missing and bugs. ED has a ton to do but refuse to even acknowledge it publicly.
  11. Correct, gun selected forces GACQ which is an ACM AACQ. NWS can't exit GACQ.
  12. Absolutely, hailing the Calvary @Beamscanner
  13. Unless you have gross asymmetric loadings, the stability of the aircraft really isn't of concern. It's all being take care of by the the Flight Control Systems. The airframe itself, as is with most 4th gen aircraft, is inherently unstable. FBW and FCS logic is used to make the aircraft aerodynamically stable in almost all flight regimes and configurations.
  14. Correct, you can out-run the limiter with sudden movements. This is documented in the NFM as well as other sources, and pilots have said the same thing.
  15. Well yes, they're just different ways to refine the TGT point.
  16. I made a lengthy comment explaining most of it. Basically the biggest issue has to do with talking about the differences between RWS and TWS. A good chunk of it is true for other aircraft, but in the Hornet RWS and TWS have the same missile and tracking capability. There's no difference in entering a STT from TWS vs RWS for example. Similar thing with LTWS. LTWS isn't a radar processing mode, it's just a display filter.
  17. That video is poor, full of wrong statements, and an incorrect understanding of most system logic. There are some good techniques mentioned.
  18. Last I checked that is not true. Plus the offset cursor is plain wrong to begin with.
  19. Pretty sure the radar swap would be really easy. Just need to update the MCs to run it.
  20. Nope. Relatively recently the high-end performance velocities and Vne were fixed. I was able to get a clean jet into a dive and hit mach 2.03 at the correct altitude. So it seems for power and drag they've nailed it on the max performance end. (compared against IRL charts) Mach 1.8 is longer a brick wall.
  21. Ensure that everyone truly has datalink on. TACAN being on by itself will still give you see MIDS capability so it may look as if DL is on. (All part of the same unit)
  22. BMS is the bane of my f*cking existence when trying to talk to people on this forum... A1-F18AC-742-100 043 00 Page 3 section 13... The designation of any trackfile is the cornerstone of the Charlie Hornet's capability since 99'. Every airborne trackfile with the exception of a CIT only track can be designated as L+S for engagement. Even in A/G most anything shared to the Hornet can be set as the target. The TAC-300 even mentions employment of a Harpoon on an off-board surface target...
  23. Oh no not at all, ED barely knows what MSI is.
